St Piran's Day, celebrated on March 5th, is the national day of Cornwall, named after one of Cornwall's patron saints. He made Cornwall his new home and became the patron saint of tin-miners after rediscovering tin smelting.
Today, Cornwall still celebrates St Piran's Day, with various celebrations held across Cornwall.

Mr Helliwell Sep 2020
This apartment is spacious and has a very central location, although the street noise can be loud from the car park next door. Overall we felt the apartment could do with a bit of care - fixing the lights and blinds in the living room, a bit more crockery/ cutlery. The bed was very comfortable though. The swimming pool is an added bonus but was a bit too cold at times to be pleasant.
However, our major issue was with the lift. On both arrival and departure Saturdays this was “out of order” meaning we had to move luggage three floors from the basement car park manually, and with an 8 month baby to look after. The lift was fine the rest of the time and we suspect it was actually being turned off on the days where heavy usage was expected. For that reason alone we’d never return to this apartment block.

Thank you for your review. We were pleased to see that you found the apartment to be spacious and to have a good location. The brilliant central location can mean that you may hear some of the hustle and bustle from the town, but we hope that you'll agree, the location more than makes up for this. We were sorry to see that you felt the property could do with a bit of care, a lot can happen in a short space of time in properties, especially after such a busy season, so thank you for your feedback, we have passed it all onto the property owner and we shall look into your comments during the upcoming property inspection. We can totally understand that the lift being out of order for a large duration of your stay would have been frustrating for you, especially when it comes to moving luggage around. Unfortunately, the lift is something that is out of ours and the owner's control when it comes to things like breakdowns, but our team in Newquay are always on hand to help where they can and if there are ever any issues like this, they'll be more than happy to contact management companies to try and get the issue resolved. We are not aware that it is intentionally switched off, but we will keep a very close eye out for any further reports of issues. We do hope that we will get the chance to welcome you back again soon. We've been visiting Newquay for many years and I have never experienced such good customer service from any holiday company before. Kimberley and Tammy went above and beyond to look after us when our original property (Headland Point) was flooded. We were so grateful and really impressed. Thank you so much.

Lovely well presented apartment with beautiful views and excellent location. After staying in several different apartments in Newquay this has been by far our favourite and also good value for money.
The car park is tight and the wifi was a bit flakey on some days.
Overall we had a lovely time and felt at home. We intend of returning to this apartment in the near future.

We are glad you liked it, despite the parking space being a bit small and the wifi being a little temperamental. We try to highlight the nature of the parking space as clearly as possible within the website description, so we hope that it was what you had expected from that, and thank you for letting us know about the wifi, that has since been looked into and is now working as it should be. Thanks again and we hope to see you back here again soon. Tanya, Customer Services

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. Beautiful views across Newquay and only a short stroll into town and to the beach. The apartment itself was clean and well furnished as were the communal areas. The swimming pool and sauna were an added bonus however the pool was a bit cold! There's lots to do in the local area as well as plenty of places to visit within a short drive. We would definitely stay here again.
