Would throughly recommend Chy Kensa as a perfect base for St Ives. We’ve stayed in other apartments in Chy Kensa which are lovely but number one is now the favourite for our family of 4. It is extremely well appointed and equipped. They have thought of everything and the housekeeper, Laura, clearly takes pride in her work. The view is stunning, I could sit there looking at it all day but the apartment is ideally located for exploring St Ives, just a short 5 minute walk to town or Porthminster beach (which is now even closer now they have reopened the steps down into the car park at the station). As others have commented the parking is tight but if the other residents park sensibly it shouldn’t be an issue - we have a fairly large car and had no problems parking. The fact there is a space is a huge bonus. As usual excellent service from Aspects who are by far the best holiday rental company in Cornwall. Before our first stay at Chy Kensa I’d already booked for July and can’t wait to make use of the outdoor space. Would thoroughly recommend for a family of 4 and with two teenage sons it was brilliant to have three bathrooms.

December 2023

We had a very comfortable stay at this apartment. It was our first stay at this apartment and we will definitely stay again. Everything about it made it an easy place to come back to especially as we were staying during the really cold snap - the underfloor heating was a treat. It also felt very newly decorated and very clean so thank you. It was a nice and easy walk down into town. Car park space was easy to use too although maybe a little harder if you had large cars on either side, but I am aware that this is an issue in St Ives generally. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely property, great views across the bay, beautifully presented, spacious & everything you could need is provided. Short walk (10 mins) to centre of of St. Ives. Allocated off street parking space (big enough for a med/large car) a real bonus in St. Ives. Patio furniture nice for morning coffee in the sun, or cocktails later depending on weather. Thoroughly recomended.

Beautiful apartment, the photos don’t do it justice. Great location, easy walk into town but far enough out to be quiet in the evenings. Would definitely recommend.

Chy Kensa was a great modern apartment. A lot of the extra little touches provided were much appreciated. The location was an easy stroll in to St Ives Harbour. The Parking spot is a bonus The Aspects team were also very easy to deal with and extremely responsive.

1 Chy Kensa is a beautiful apartment. Spacious and well laid out. Lovely furniture. The special touches were just that - really special, wine and milk in the fridge, biscuits, chocolates, an assortment of teas and coffees, voucher for the local shops and every toiletry needed in lovely bottles from shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion to cleaning sprays and washing detergent. The apartment was very clean and well looked after. The beds were incredibly comfortable and having 3 bathrooms was a real bonus With 2 teenagers. The parking space too is very handy. Location great for a stroll to the beach and to the harbour. Aspects as always were great. We loved our holiday here and would definitely book again.

We loved staying at Chy Kensa. The apartment is ideally located with a glorious view across Porthminster and out to Godrevy Lighthouse; it’s just a quick walk down some steps and you’re in the middle of St Ives. We popped down each morning to St Ives Bakery and in the evenings to enjoy a scoop of Moomaid Shipwreck ice cream. Heading the other way, it’s a nice walk over to Carbis Bay. The welcome treats were a lovely touch. The apartment comes with pretty much anything you might need, especially in the kitchen. We would definitely stay again.

The apartment was spacious, very clean with all of the comforts and appliances you’d need for a really comfortable weeks stay. The house keeping company had also added lots of lovely little extras too which really made it special!

The apartment is really spacious, and much bigger than it seemed in the photos. We were four adults and a toddler, and had plenty of space to relax and spend time there on the rainier days. It all being on one level really helped with my little one, and there was a bookshelf full of baby/toddler books which kept her entertained too!

The location was perfect for us, as we didn’t mind a short walk into town and the beaches. The views from the apartment because of this were fantastic.

We’d love to stay here again in future.

We had a lovely holiday in this beautiful apartment. The flat was exceptionally well prepared for us and immediately felt welcoming. The outdoor space with furniture was lovely. St Ives is a great place to stay. We enjoyed going to Tate St Ives and to the Barbara Hepworth studio and garden. We had a very good meal at the Sea Food Cafe and we made good use of the deli voucher. The train journey to Penzance via St Erth is not to be missed. For us, the only drawback was the steep walk down into the town.

We loved our stay in this apartment and would definitely return. It was clean, spacious and in an ideal location. The owner had thought of everything and we especially liked the welcome gifts on arrival. It had everything there for a stay away from home. We most enjoyed the stunning sea view and would sit looking at it from the lounge most evenings. We would highly recommend.

Chy Kensa is a beautiful apartment which felt incredibly spacious, with high ceilings and huge rooms. It has everything we needed and the benefit of some outside space and parking. It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The walk into St Ives is steep but short and we found the location to be perfect. A wonderful holiday apartment.

We absolutely loved this stunning apartment. The owners had thought of absolutely everything! We can’t praise it enough - it was amazing!

Jennifer Reeve - May 2023

The apartment was immaculate, spacious and comfortable. A very, very high standard of accommodation. Some very nice touches such as the wine, biscuits, milk on arrival and plentiful and lovely toiletries. Great location with a 10 minute walk into town but benefitting from a quiet location. Would highly recommend.

We’ve stayed in many holiday apartments over the years and I can say this was one of the best we’ve stayed in.

From the high ceilings and the fantastic sea views to the little touches such as sewing kits, beach towels and water bottles this apartment has it all.

It’s spacious, spotlessly clean and so warm and comfortable we really didn’t want to leave. It felt like home!

We particularly liked the range of body lotion, shower gels and shampoos which were in every bathroom.

The staff of aspects also deserve a shout out. Always happy, positive and willing to help out with any questions or issues you might have. It really makes the difference.

We’ll be back soon!
