The sea views are second to none and you'll even be able to hear the waves crashing onto the shore from the comfort of the sofa. Within a ten minute stroll you can be at the beach or in the centre of St Ives, but with its own allocated private parking space, you can also explore the surrounding area with ease during your stay. A wonderfully romantic hideout at any time of year, for long or short breaks.
The many beaches of St Ives are ideal for sunbathers and surfers alike. Head to Porthmeor for surfboard hire and surf lessons, or relax on any one the beautiful beaches on the doorstep. You'll also find an excellent choice of restaurants, bars and pubs close by, so it's perfect for a self catering holiday.

Breath taking views over Porthminster beach, and extensive coastline , a large window to watch the sunrise was spectacular. A couple of minutes from the railway station, below the apartment. Good location for a short walk to the centre of town . Plenty of cafes and restaurants of excellent quality to choose from. Immaculately clean and well stocked kitchen. An added bonus of a car parking space. May be difficult for people with mobility issues, as steps up to the apartment and very hilly.

Held on the anniversary of the consecration of the Parish Church of St Eia in 1434 AD, Feast Day offers visitors to witness - and even join in with - some centuries-old traditions. A morning precesison led by the Mayor to bless the Well of St Eia. Following this, the Mayor will 'Hurls the Silver Ball' into a crowd of children who assemble on the beach below. The one who returns the ball to the Guildhall steps by midday receives a silver coin. In the afternoon the Mayor then throw pennies from the balcony of the Guildhall for children to collect.

We had a 1 week stay at the beginning of August and we absolutely loved it! The property itself more than exceeded expectations and I mean no offense whatsoever when I say this but, the pictures simply do not do it justice. The view from the window is amazing which opens up and being a large window, this allows for a bright and airy flat which was really pleasing throughout our stay. Even though items had been removed (due to COVID) from the flat, we still managed to find useful games to take to the beach in the cupboard. The location was great to town and it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the beach, the way back kills you a bit with it's hills but worry about that later, it still burns off the dinner you had out! :)
Speaking of which, there are some fantastic restaurants within close proximity to the property which we took full advantage of. I thought it was a bit weird reading reviews of people saying they wanted to go back every year but I might just have to become one of those weirdos now!

44 Carrack Widden is a flat in a good location with provision of a parking space (a rarity in St. Ives!). It enjoys fabulous views out over Porthminster Beach to Hayle and Godrevy Lighthouse which really can't be beaten. It is a short walk down to Porthminster Beach and a little further to the town beach, Porthmeor (Surfing) Beach and the Tate Gallery. Everywhere is within walking distance and this makes it an excellent choice for a really relaxing break. The town is full of lovely shops and galleries to browse around and there is a good choice of places to eat. We have been coming here regularly for some 40 years now so it can't be bad!

This lovely apartment has everything needed for a comfortable holiday. It's been really thoughtfully planned and decorated. The views across Porthminster beach are breathtaking. It's ideally situated for easy access in to St Ives town, the beaches and the coastal path. Carbis Bay is an easy walk away. We'd love to return.
