Shopping in St Ives
From books to jewellery to freshly made food, shopping in St Ives is a Cornish tradition thanks to the cobbled streets and independent shops that line them.
Sitting neatly above St Ives town, with stunning views across the bay toward Godrevy lighthouse, is 4 Lyonesse. Sleeping up to four guests, this welcoming apartment is a great place to escape and unwind, with designated parking, park up, unload and make yourself at home, making for a stress-free holiday from the moment you arrive. The light and open plan living area enjoys impressive views out over the bay, with the thoughtful owners providing a telescope and binoculars, perfect for watching the little boats bobbing out amongst the waves. With two spacious bedrooms, including an en-suite shower room to the master bedroom, snuggle up in the fresh white linens and enjoy a restful slumber. There's also a family bathroom, ideal for a long soak after a day of adventures.
In terms of location, you don't have far to walk before you can be dipping your toes in the crystal-clear waters, with Porthminster Beach only a 10-minute stroll away, as well as the bustling harbour front. Whilst St Ives, of course, has five beautiful beaches to visit, if being cultural is on the agenda then the Iconic Tate gallery or Barbara Hepworth Museum are well worth a visit, similarly St Ives has an array of galleries dotted throughout the town. For those guests not travelling via car the train station is only a mere five minute walk away.
Please note: During the month of January and February in 2025, there is potential for scaffolding to be erect, located at the bay window, for brick repair work. Should you have any questions or queries, please contact our Customer Services Team before booking.

Oh my goodness, what a beautiful apartment! Everything so high spec, everything so beautifully thought-out to complement the amazing view from the huge windows. It even smelled delicious! I enjoyed spending time there as much as I did out and about in wonderful St Ives. The town was beautiful in the misty-moisty way it generally is in autumn, with plenty of shops and restaurants open still, and still lots of brave surfers to watch from the comfort of a Porthmeor beach café ‘pod’. Our daughter joined them in a wetsuit rented for the day from Wind An Sea, whilst we relied on the climb back up the hill to the apartment to work off the scones. A lovely week of fresh air, comfort food, and luxurious accommodation.

Perfect holiday apartment, couldnt ask for more, for the price. Perfect for 4 people families, ours are both adults and happily shared the twin room, plenty of space in the apartment.
Be prepared for steps and hills.
Parking details are exact and very helpful, do not ignore them,co-operation of neighbours does help.
Overall an excellent stay, apartment exactly as in photos. 10 out of 10.

Many of our holiday cottages in Porthminster boast magnificent sea views and are mere moments from the soft sands and turquoise waters of the beach. Whilst the vibrant heart of St Ives harbourside is just a short walk away. Porthminster is perfectly placed for an unforgettable family holiday by the sea. Read more about holidays in St Ives here.
Indulge in lunch with a view at Porthminster Beach Cafe.

4 Lyonesse Apartments is a comfortable, cosy, warm, quiet and relaxing place to stay in St.Ives in a lovely position with a beautiful view above the bay. It was easy to walk to the beach or the town - a bit harder on the way back uphill! The owners had thought of everything as if they were the guests, with quality furnishings. The car parking is very tight but good to have. There is no need to drive into the narrow streets of the town centre from here. Despite the disappointing grimy kitchen upon arrival, we would love to stay here again. It would be helpful to have a second key.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback following your stay at 4 Lyonesse Apartments. We are pleased you found it to be a home away home, though we are sorry you found the kitchen didn't meet your expectations. It's incredibly unusual to receive feedback such as this for 4 Lyonesse, and had we heard from you during your stay we would have been more than happy to get the housekeeper back to rectify any areas of concern. We very much hope we can welcome you back here to prove that it was a rare occurrence. Katy, Customer Services.
A beautiful apartment, well equipped and comfortably furnished to a high standard. Excellent location for walks into St Ives and the surrounding beaches.
We really enjoyed our stay in 4 Lyonesse and would highly recommend.

An excellent apartment, well equipped very clean. Very comfortable to spend our holiday in. As the description says the car park space is small but manageable. The tea that was in the flat suited the local water much better than the tea we brought with us. Over all a great place and if we decide to visit St Ives again we would look to see if it was available.

This apartment was stunning. Wonderful views over the bay which took our breath away. We was lucky enough to see a dolphin from the apartment on our last morning.
The apartment is beautifully decorated throughout and very clean. Home from home. We didn’t want to leave.
It was nice to come back to a lovely bath after the walks. The hill can be little tiring after a few days but once in the beautiful apartment it’s soon forgotten.
The bed was really comfortable snd enough storage space for our clothes too.
The car park spaces are very tight although we didn’t have any problems. Still a bonus to have your own space in St Ives
We cannot fault this apartment and can’t wait to come back. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
