Porthmeor Loft is a lovely, comfortable house. it's a bit of a slug up the hill out of town, but it's worth the effort for the fantastic view over the bay. Very convenient parking space in front of the house and a big garage at the back as well........ The master bedroom is something else, with excellent views back and front. Over the years we've rented a number of properties around the Porthmeor area; this one is up there with the best. We would definitely rent it again.

Relax and enjoy the view from one of our many self-catering beach-front apartments in this delightful corner of St Ives. You can plan your beach days by checking our Porthmeor beach webcam.
Porthmeor means 'large cove' in Cornish?

It's great to hear you had a fabulous week at Porthmeor Loft, enjoying the location and gorgeous views. We are sorry to hear you felt it was challenging to park your car, we know that the garage space may be a tight squeeze for larger cars, so we advertise this on the website, but we are glad to know this did not impact your stay. We hope we will be able to welcome you back again very soon. Phoebe, Customer Services

Excellent property with 2 parking spaces which is a huge bonus in St Ives! We loved the amazing views & quirkiness of Porthmeor Loft as well as the location. We hope to return soon
Mrs Dyer Sep 2023
This place is a total gem of a property. Beautifully decorated, and well thought out use of space throughout. The location is perfect for Porthmeor beach lovers and amazing that there’s two parking spaces (including the garage)! Generally an awesome place to stay and would highly recommend!
Mrs Brown Aug 2023
This was our second stay with family (5 adults and 1 three year old) and we found the location and experience fantastic as before. Great location and fantastic accommodation.
Mrs Thomas Jun 2023
Porthmeor Loft is a relaxing retreat with the most gorgeous view over Porthmeor beach. The house is beautifully and tastefully furnished and it's very clear that it is a very much loved home by the owners who clearly have a lot of pride in the space.
Each room contains useful amenities and comfort is a priority with plenty of towels, throws and thoughtful touches in each room.
We had a wonderful stay and would love to return!
Mrs Collins May 2023
We had an excellent stay over Easter Holidays '23. Family of five including three teenagers. We loved the views over Porthmeor beach and using the log burner in the cooler evenings. The Porthmeor Loft is really quite well situated, only a few minutes walk from Fore Street and Porthmeor Beach. The off street parking was really useful as both spaces could accommodate our family car which is an SUV style. We would definitely stay at Porthmeor Loft again.
Mr Long Apr 2023
Excellent accommodation furnished to a high standard great views from all windows. We absolutely loved it.
Ms Bignall Oct 2022
One of the best accommodations I have started at in St Ives. Modern decor, very clean, spacious. Some great views, and only a 5 minute walk to Porthmeor beach. Will definitely be pays return visit.

Mrs Littlewood Jul 2022
This space was fantastic. A really relaxing space looking over the beach, which during sunset was breathtaking. It was modern, well-decorated and was a real help in making the holiday fantastic. 10/10 recommend to anyone!
Mr Reid Jun 2022
Very well appointed apartment, lots of consideration by the owners and lovely touches in furnishings, decoration and equipment provided. Great view out over the coast. Within walking distance of the beaches and town, multiple routes back, albeit all uphill :-). Clean and fresh. Outside sitting area to front, garage to rear and parking to front suitable for medium SUV sized vehicle (Sportage/Qashqui) with space to walk alongside to front door. Couldn't have asked for better or expected more. And great weather in April, a real bonus too.
Mr Randall Apr 2022

We enjoyed our short stay at Porthmeor loft in October. It was a short stroll to town although be prepared for steep climb back! The private parking was a bonus . We would definitely stay again.
Mr Goulborm Nov 2020
Lovely property in a great location with amazing sea views at the front and back! Well equipped and lovely log burner. Great to have driveway parking in St Ives (just big enough for an estate car). Perfect for a small family holiday (we were 2 adults and 1 child).
Mrs Cutler Sep 2020
A lovely house that has fantastic views and all sorts of home comforts. Very conveniently located, albeit up a steep hill but only a few minutes walk from The Tate and the beach.. Bring your own firewood & kindling (none supplied) if you want to light the lovely woodburning stove.

They really are fantastic views from there; we are glad that you liked them and enjoyed Porthmeor Loft. There is a steep hill to contend with when returning back to the property at the end of a day at one of the stunning beaches of St Ives, but we hope that you agreed is completely worth it to get those views over Porthmeor and with such a lovely homely place to return to at the end of your walk. We were sorry to hear that you did not have a starter pack of logs and kindling for the wood burner. You should have been provided with this, so we will make sure that this is fed back to the housekeeper. Thanks for letting us know. Tanya, Customer Services
Great location, stunning views but quite a small living area for 6 people.

Thank you for your comments; the owners of Porthmeor Loft have certainly put a lot of time and thought into making this a beautiful home for people to enjoy so we are glad that you liked it. We always try to be as open and honest as possible, so whilst it can accommodate 6, with 2 king-size double bedrooms and a twin bedroom, the living area is on the smaller side. We try to give an accurate representation of the size and layout of all properties within the photos and descriptions, so hope that we have achieved that in this case, but we will continue to monitor feedback. We hope that it suited all members of your party, and glad that you enjoyed the fantastic location and amazing views from this lovely property. Tanya, Customer Services PLEASE NOTE: for 2022 the owners are making some changes to the layout that will give a little more space to the lounge/kitchen/diner.
Excellent accommodation, with fabulous views.
Mrs Stone Dec 2019
We would stay again as it’s a special place , you would need to be fit to walk back from town , but there is a bus which goes up the hill .
Mrs Ryan Oct 2019
Once again another great stay at a Aspect holiday home. Location was perfect for watch the waves and a short stroll down to the town and harbour, but remember the hike back can be steep. Would recommend this apartment if you are looking for something a bit special.
Mrs Benson Oct 2019
Lovely property. Everything one would need for a brilliant holiday. A bonus to have two parking spaces too. Plenty of room for 5 adults . We 'll be booking again.
Ms Cartwright Sep 2019
Beautiful property with stunning views, well looked after and love the little extras
Mrs Carroll Jul 2019
St Ives is such a lovely place, with interesting shops, great food, beautiful beaches and good coastal walks. This is a lovely spacious house in an ideal location which overlooks Porthmeor Beach. The house is well designed with the master bedroom away from the other 2 on the top floor of the house and with lovely features including a drinks cooler, ensuite and great views to the sea and across St Ives. There are some very nice touches like electric blinds, sliding recess door (to separate top floor from living area) - the house has been really well thought about. The living space is comfy and the kitchen is very well equipped including a dishwasher. The property also has a useful washer/dryer and most crucially, comes with parking (we managed to park an estate car at the front). The property would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues as its at the top of a hill and the living space is on the 1st floor.
