A lovely week in Cherry Cottage. Perfect location for a small family with access to beaches, local shops and cafes just a stones throw away. Saying goodnight to the sunshine and sea over porthmeor beach each evening was a delight and we even caught some wonderful sunsets. Lovely memories made with our preschooler.
Mrs Norland May 2024
Great little place. Super for the beach and quiet
Mr Barr Aug 2023
lovely property, absolutely amazing location, very quiet and peaceful. a few slight downs to the property but only if being picky… one television did not work, property was smaller than it appears online, only 1 sofa so not much room to sit if there is more than 2 guests. slight lack of storage in bedroom, only 1 chest of drawers between the 2 bedrooms.

It certainly is in a brilliant location- just steps from Porthmeor Beach and set back away from all the noise of the main areas of footfall and traffic. We are glad that you liked it. Thank you for letting us know about the tv. After investigation, it turned out to be an issue with the aerial, which is now fixed. We are sorry if you had expected more than the one sofa and more bedroom storage. We try to make this as clear as we can within the website photos and descriptions, so we hope that this wasn't an inconvenience for you. We will pass on your comments to the owners for their consideration when they are looking at any changes that they may wish to make in the future. Tanya, Customer Services
Really lovely stay in Cherry Cottage. Perfect for a family of 3. Great location, right near the beach and few minutes from fore Street. We'll equipped kitchen, comfy beds and great shower. We will definitely stay again and recommend to others
Miss Bruno Jun 2023
A really lovely stay in a lovely cottage. Super close to everything in St Ives. Just a few minutes walk from the shops and beach. Lovely clean, comfy cottage with everything you need for your stay. Would definitely stay again!
Mrs Herbert Jun 2023
Great location, very close proximity to Porthmeor Beach and walking distance to main shops and harbour front. Cleanliness of property was very poor - we found dirty, oily oven trays left waiting for us upon arrival, dirty oven and some glasses were unclean too. Double bed isn't very comfortable, needs new mattress. Be warned there are 2 very steep flights of stairs in this place, as cottage is 3 floors high. Kitchen & bathroom down in basement area. Will not stay here again!

We are so sorry if those areas were missed. We will speak to the housekeeper to remind her to check these things. They would usually clean the oven each changeover, but it may need a specialist clean by now. She should also do a spot check of items that have been used and put away by previous occupants, as it isn't always possible to check every item in all cupboards. We are sorry of this wasn't done or failed to find the dirty items. Mattresses can be very difficult to get right with everyone having a different preference. We haven't had any other feedback on this at this time, so we will monitor further feedback for now and check this on our next inspection. Being a traditional fisherman's cottage, the stairs are often steeper and narrower than most of us are used to in more modern homes, so this is something that should be considered when booking here. We try to make the steepness and suitability of these stairs as clear as possible in the website description, highlighting them in the additional information section, so we are sorry if this was not what was expected. If you are returning to St Ives, please do not hesitate to contact us before booking so that we can help you in finding the best property to meet all requirements. We do hope that you still had a great time here in St Ives despite your disappointment with these areas. Tanya, Customer Services
We had a fantastic stay at Cherry Cottage. Great location, right next to the beach & a very short walk to pubs/shops. Lovely little cottage. Kids loved it. Will definitely be back!
Mr Lowing Aug 2022
Aspects dealt with issues straight away were polite and helpful, moved us to an excellent flat and paid for a taxi to help. The building work next door was unavoidable but staff were great.
Ms Mckenna Jul 2022
Lovely comfortable and compact cottage just a stones throw from Porthmeor Beach and everything St Ives has to offer!
Mrs Stubbs May 2022
We had a lovely stay at Cherry Cottage. Brilliant value for money with the location being a stone’s throw from the beach. Perfect to walk into town and access the shops and bakeries, and go to the beach whenever we felt like it. The cottage was very clean and nicely presented - I will mention that the internal stairs were steep, not a problem for us, and it did add to the charm of the cottage - but might not be suitable for people who struggle with stairs or for young children. I would definitely recommend Cherry Cottage if you want a lovely base for exploring St Ives.
Miss Barrell Sep 2021
Lovely little cottage.
Mr Barr Jul 2021
Compact and quiet cottage, close enough to the beach to fall asleep to the sound of the waves but conveniently close to the harbour and town too. Location is everything-although we had no parking space with the cottage we were able to park close enough in the car park up the hill every evening and actually made the holiday more relaxing as we chose to stay in St Ives more rather than getting in the car everyday. Would return without a doubt!
Mr Samuel Jun 2021
Cherry Cottage was perfect for my first visit to St Ives. A delightfully quaint little fisherman’s cottage less than 100 steps from Porthmeor beach. Beautifully decorated, well equipped and perfect to come back to after a day of sight seeing. Ideally situated for all amenities and beaches, and I can recommend Porthgwidden beach for watching the sunrise. I’d highly recommend and I’d gladly return to Cherry Cottage at the drop of a hat.
Ms Lawson Jun 2021
I loved this place. I have been coming to St Ives on holiday since the 70's, and this place reminded me of so many places where I stayed when I was young, with my family.
It was a nostalgic overload which - after being locked down for such a long time - literally moved me to tears.
Dr Kane May 2021
If you like Porthmeor beach, the location is fantastic.
The cottage is small and rather basic, but is comfortable and a great place to spend a few days as a couple.
A family with children, staying for longer, might find that it lacks sufficient storage space however (there are no wardrobes or cupboards to speak of). Understandable, given it is a former fisherman's cottage, but a family might want to bear that in mind.
Arrival went smoothly thanks to Aspects taking care of everything, and the "welcome pack" was much appreciated. I would book with Aspects again.
Ms Adams May 2021
Cherry cottage is superbly located for Porthmeor Beach, 110 steps away!! Cherry Cottage was lovely and clean, beds and bedding lovely and comfortable, and the kitchen is really well equipped. The cottage is really well located, only issue is parking, but think that is a general issue around St Ives, so not solely related to this cottage. We absolutely loved out stay at Cherry Cottage and hope to come back soon.
Mrs Lawson Aug 2020
Lovely cottage great location. No phone reception , and no broadband that worked

We are so sorry to hear that there had been issues with the wifi during your stay. Had we been aware, we would have tried to do everything that we could to help with this, so we hope that it wasn't too much of an issue for you. We have since been working with the owners to get this resolved with their wifi provider and BT, so there is now working wifi again. Unfortunately, many areas of St Ives have very poor phone signal and if you are staying in a traditional granite-built property, the signal can often be very poor inside as well. If this is an important consideration, it may be worth giving us a call when you are looking to book in future, so that we can advise, where possible, if there are any known issues with signal at the property that you are interested in. We are glad that you otherwise enjoyed the property and sorry again for this issue. Tanya, Customer Services
All I can say a lovely little cottage a fantastic location just 50 meters from the surf beach. You can walk with ease to great restaurants and local pubs in St Ives no need to use the car. Check out the seals in the sheltered St ives bays in the evenings. Aspects holidays very helpful professional and easy to talk with - perfect

Thank you for your review; great to hear how much you enjoyed it there. We are glad that you liked its fantastic, convenient location, in easy walking distance to all that St Ives has to offer; and with Porthmeor Beach quite literally around the corner, we hope that an outside seating area at the property wasn't missed too much. We hope to see you back here soon. Tanya, Customer Services
Cherry cottage is the best Aspects cottage we’ve stayed in! It was brilliant for access to beach and town and had everything we needed, without excess clutter.
Mrs Woods Apr 2018
Just returned from a week in Cherry Cottage. It met our expectations and after a day spent outdoors it was lovely to go back to a cosy and comfortable cottage .
Miss Waters Oct 2017
Cherry cottage is a quaint, lovely little cottage and is well situated. Bedrooms bit small. There was shortage of space for putting clothes. Beautiful place but parking atrocious as you have to try to get in one of the car parks.

It's great to hear how much you enjoyed Cherry Cottage. Thanks for your thoughts on the storage; the owners have tried to make the most of the available space, and provide as much storage as they can, but we appreciate that this may not work for everyone. Parking is unfortunately at a premium in St Ives; with many properties not having this facility. For those without this facility; it is always worth looking into parking options beforehand on the local council website and looking into private parking availability, particularly for peak weeks. There is also a park and ride facility which some find useful. Please feel free to contact the team for any advice. Thanks for your comments, and we hope to see you back here soon. Really lovely stay here. Great location and really appreciated having a stairgate for our great stay with our little girl.
