Captains house is Fabulous ,light and airy ,spacious with great views.its also very cosy on those wild weather days, chopped wood provided for the woodburner ! You can walk to the beach at porthmeor in 5 minutes ,be on the harbour in 10 ,close to all art galleries and shops. If you don't feel like going out grab the binoculars provided and just look out to sea ,perfect. Been coming to st ives for years ,stayed in many properties and this is definitely the best!

We had a lovely holiday at Captains House. We were 3 generations but there were plenty of shower facilities and seating. Enjoyed sharing family meals round the large tables. Wi-fi a bit slow but adequate. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. .
Mrs Wadsworth Aug 2020
This house is great for families sharing a property. There is plenty of shared living space for meals, games and sitting together. The house has lovely views overlooking Porthmeor beach and the Atlantic, and is also very well placed for walking into town, visiting the Tate or other beaches.
Mrs Mitchell Feb 2020
Lovely house with well equipped kitchen. We had six adults and three children under 5 never felt cramped. Gorgeous views over the beach. We had a really lovely holiday and the house is very close to centre of St Ives. Only difficulty was parking there is room for two small cars so our third car had to go on long stay car park which we knew before arrival, however it was hard to get on the car park again if you'd been out for the day .

It was great to hear how much you liked Captain's House and how well it worked for all of you. Unfortunately none of the long stay car parks guarantee spaces, so it can mean moving around between car parks during your holiday, though you can get a rover ticket that covers most of these for a set price for the week. There are also a couple of private parking options but they would be quite a distance from this property, but if this is something that you may find useful if you are ever looking to return; please do get in touch so that we can give you further information. We booked the Captain's House for three families to share over the half term. The large living space and large kitchen worked well, and helped provide a lovely sense of house community for those times when we came together for meals and to play games. All the rooms are light and airy and the original features make the house feel homely and give it character. The views across Porthmeor Beach are fabulous.
Mrs Mitchell Feb 2019
Loved the views. Perfect location for us and perfect house for those wanting to surf often - getting up and looking out the window to check the waves was brilliant - could even see the kids surfing from our bedroom window. Very easy house to be in, lots of space for all. Nice bath to ease away the aches and pains post surfing! Lovely sociable living spaces which worked well for adults and teens. We'll definitely consider booking this house again - we had a fab time. Loved our stay, fab house.
