The second balcony can be accessed from the open plan sitting room, where you have sea views, leading up and over the Island towards the Chapel - you may even see a wedding or two!

You are right next door to the stunning Porthmeor beach, where the sun sets of an evening, or you can stroll across to the golden sands of Porthminster and even stop at the cafe for a spot of lunch. Your parking space on site means you can come and go as you please, ideal for those wanting to explore Cornwall.

The Tate is a must; something everyone should visit at least once, or simply relax and enjoy the view from one of our many self-catering beach-front apartments. Most of the town and all it has to offer is a level walk from Porthmeor, making it many of our guests' first choice of location. Many Porthmeor properties offer parking and most have superb beach views and balconies.

Held on the anniversary of the consecration of the Parish Church of St Eia in 1434 AD, Feast Day offers visitors to witness - and even join in with - some centuries-old traditions. A morning precesison led by the Mayor to bless the Well of St Eia. Following this, the Mayor will 'Hurls the Silver Ball' into a crowd of children who assemble on the beach below. The one who returns the ball to the Guildhall steps by midday receives a silver coin. In the afternoon the Mayor then throw pennies from the balcony of the Guildhall for children to collect.

The apartment is in an excellent location, with everything that is needed to have a pleasant stay. Instructions were clear within the property and also on how to drive into St. Ives which was useful. The parking is really good to have but it is extremely tight. We would definitely consider returning again.
