18 The Digey is situated metres from the beach, along a beautiful cobbled street in the centre of St Ives. It provides the perfect setting for a family break to remember. It's a classic fisherman's cottage, with some wonderful original features and is set over three floors. With its own parking space in a secure garage, not even a one minute walk away, arriving couldn't be more stress-free! Spend the day getting lost in the town's many galleries and shops, then grab a portion of fish and chips or set up a BBQ on Porthmeor beach and watch the sun go down.
one step leading from The Digey into:
table with seating for six, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, radio/CD player.
shower, basin, WC. Stairs from the kitchen leading to:
sofa, easy chair, window seat. Smart TV.
single bed, chair, window seat.
bath with shower over, basin, WC. Stairs from sitting room leading to:

gas central heating, undercover parking for one car (max height of entrance 6ft 8ins, width 6ft 6ins & length 15ft) access to the parking space is in a communal garage, the space will require careful manoeuvring. Please note the stairs in the property are quite narrow and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility, children should also be supervised on the stairs as they are not enclosed in parts, the kitchen has been predominantly constructed of the local granite rock therefore this property may not be suitable for young children or those who suffer with a breathing related illness, WiFi, short breaks available.
Excellent property with an even better location in the Heart of St Ives. Parking Is extremely useful, but tight so pay attention to size restrictions. Would absolutely stay again , and recommend to anyone with young families. The house had a Lovely little kitchen with everything needed. 2 minute walk to all the local shops. 5 minute walk to the Harbour beach, which the kids loved. And a short walk the other way was Porthmeor beach so again ideal location.
If travelling with more than 2 people would definitely recommend Pre booking pubs and restaurants with Covid restrictions. Would definitely give the Italian cafe on the harbour front a try.

Could do with a TV or radio in the kitchen. Stairs can be challenging but the location is spot on... seconds from Porthmeor beach and especially with parking so close and accessible. Mr & Mrs Ayres

Another lovely stay at 18 The Digey. We've stayed here lots of times, mainly because it's clean, well equipped, comfortable and has lots of character. It's also close to the beach and the shops. Having a safe parking space close by is an added bonus.
Would highly recommend this cottage.

Fantastic location and great facilities. Would stay again.

GREAT LOCATION HOWEVER RIDDLED WITH DAMPNESS AND DEFINITELY NOT CHILD FRIENDLY

Many traditional fisherman's cottages here are built from granite rock which can hold on to moisture. The property is usually kept well ventilated, so keeps the risk of damp to a minimum, but unfortunately, it seems that after several months of the property being closed up during lock down, quite a strong smell resulted. Your experience is not usual for this property and whilst the owners include a note about the history and the risk of damp from time to time, they manage it as best as they can, without having work carried out that will completely lose the character of the property. We have since visited the property to check on your comments about it not being child-friendly and agreed that the stairs should be highlighted and be a consideration to those with young children or members of the party who are less mobile, as they are very steep and partially open. We have now added a note to the property description and the bookings team would be more than happy to discuss the layout of the property to anyone that may be looking to book it and has any concerns about the suitability. A very nice cottage in a great location for either the surf beach or the harbour. Very well equipped and comfortable we had 5 adults and it didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The parking space in the garage next to bumbles tea room is the big advantage.

Have been visiting No.18 for many years now and will keep coming back. Great location , good facilities. And Aspects have a great 24/7 back up service that we needed.
Mr Atherton Sep 2019
Lovely cottage location wise but overall presentation of the interior on the sparse side. Don’t get me wrong we loved our stay but next time we’ll try some other place. Parking space also a little more than a tight squeeze.

It was great to hear how much you enjoyed the fantastic location of this property. We offer a wide range of properties that we hope will meet the different budgets and the differing tastes, needs and requirements of individuals and always aim to be as honest and transparent as possible with our descriptions and photos to show the style of property, furnishings and decor clearly. We hope that we have done that in this instance. It is a shame that you had found it to be on the sparse side for you, but we would be happy to have a chat and try to help find an alternative for your next visit, based on your preferences. We hope to see you back here in beautiful St Ives again soon. Tanya, Customer Services
Excellent rustic cottage in a perfect position, quiet and well equipped, the narrow stairways will keep you fit! Well worth it having the parking space.
Mr Morris Jun 2019
An excellant stay, lovely house. Location near beach and town was ideal. Only negative was the sofa being uncomfortable.
Mrs Donegan May 2019
Fabulous, comfy, spacious, yet cosy, cottage, super location - a short stroll to beaches, harbour and shops. Bonus of two bathrooms and a parking space.
Mrs Dakin May 2019
Comfortable and surprisingly spacious cottage in a fabulous location. We had a lovely week staying here - partly due to the great accommodation and partly due to the fabulous February sunshine!
