One of the best things about a holiday in Higher St Ives is that you don’t have to leave the seaside town during your stay, everything you need is within easy walking distance. With several stunning beaches all within St Ives; from the golden bay of Porthminster, to the Blue Flag Beach at Porthmeor, there’s no need to pack up the car; simply stroll down to enjoy any one of the nearby beaches. Another lovely holiday in St Ives staying at loscombe . Good location with excellent parking , secure garden for pet . Some bits are getting ready for for a bit of a makeover but on the whole good value for money. If you don’t want to walk back up the hill there are plenty of taxis available next to the cinema which will take you up for under £5 .

Welcome back to Loscombe! We are pleased to hear you had another enjoyable stay at the property, and found the parking to be a very useful facility. We try to market a wide range of properties, all of different styles and decors, but your comments have been passed along to the owner for consideration of future improvements. Katy, Customer Services.
Excellent property and location would definitely stay again
Mrs Bell May 2024
We stayed at that property as it was perfectly placed for where we wanted to be as it was close (about 10min ) down to St Ives town , though it is a very steep hill back up but there are plenty of busses if you don't want to take car .It is on a main road but we found it very quite especially at night .Everything is to hand in the house and a very well equipped kitchen. .
Mr Levis Sep 2023
We very much enjoyed our second stay at Loscombe. The property is spacious, clean and well equipped. The property is accessible in terms of having a ground floor bedroom large enough for a wheelchair to move around, however the en-suite has not been adapted for disabilities (e.g. wet room and/or grab rails) so would not suit those that require that extra level of support. For those concerned about road noise, it is present during the day but quietens down at night time and we did not find it to be an issue. We would stay here again.
Mrs Naisbitt Aug 2023
Lovely holiday let, good for mixed aged family. Good selection of games and amenities, bring some pegs.
Everything worked as it should, the patio door not opening was not a problem as there is a door in the utility straight on to the back of the property. Easy walk onto town. Taxi works out cheaper than the bus.
Mrs Holmes Aug 2023
Plenty of parking and easy access to St Ives town
Mrs Moore Jul 2023
the house is amazing, very well equipped for a large family or group. The house gives you togetherness or your own space. loads of windows bright and aire. Very comfortable and clean throughout the property.
Mrs Fredrick May 2023
Large comfy Property. Next to a busy road which might affect light sleepers. 20 minuets walk away from St Ives off road parking is a bonus In this area.

This property is on one of the main roads in St Ives, so it can be busy at times, but with the property set back just a little and the traffic being fairly slow moving, it certainly isn't busy and noisy in the same way that you would experience in many other large towns or cities. It may be something that light sleepers would want to consider though, with all bedrooms facing to the front of the property. The location and having parking directly outside, makes for an extremely convenient base to easily get out and about exploring both St Ives and further afield. We hope that you liked it. Beautiful house and location. Great access from the main road. Big spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Nice big open plan kitchen and diner. Lovely garden to the rear of the property. Patio doors where kept locked by the owner which was disappointing on a holiday let.

We are glad that you liked it there. It certainly offers a lot of space for everyone and is really convenient with the parking right outside. We are sorry that it had not been highlighted to you that the owners do not have the patio doors in use. Whilst there is alternative access to the garden through the utility room, we always want to be open and honest in the website descriptions, so that guests know what to expect, so we have now added a note onto the website to state that the French doors in the sitting room are locked permanently, but there is other access to the garden area. We are glad that everything else was exactly as expected and that you had a great stay here. Tanya, Customer Services
If you are looking for a 'Home from Home' holiday to the lovely Cornwall, Would definitely recommend this property. Spacious, clean, all amenities & only a short 10 minute walk into St.Ives Town Centre. The downstairs double bedroom is situated off the kitchen, but this never caused an issue on our stay at all.
Miss Lawrie May 2022
Loscombe is a very comfortable home. The rooms are light and airy and the furniture is so comfortable. There is a pleasant raised garden with interesting shrubs. This is an idea property for exploring. There is parking on site. It is a short downhill walk into St Ives and a taxi was under £5. We will definitely be back for a fourth visit.
Ms Bent Feb 2022
We absolutely loved our stay at loscombe. Upso arrival everywhere was clean. Very spacious and rnoguht room for the cars outside. Would definitely return.
Mrs Maddock Sep 2021
Lovely house yes it’s a long walk back up after a day on the beach but taxis/ buses are easy to get.
Mrs Johns Sep 2021
Great location large spacious rooms 10 minute walk downhill to St Ives plenty of taxis buses if you don't wont to walk back uphill!! Sharkey fish and chip shop 200m in Industrial Estate-great food. Easy access to South West coastal path with stunning walks along coast. Highly recommend watching a show at the Kids R Us theatre-great value and friendly staff.
Mr Huxley Aug 2021
We had a great time, Loscombe is a lovely house in a good location. It was so nice to have parking right outside, as St Ives was very busy.
Mrs Wiltshire Jun 2021
Was like home from home had everything we needed, arrived late due to traffic was lovely being left tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. Was nice being able to walk to and from town only 10 mins walk and a straight line. Tried booking for same week next year but already booked gutted We will be back.
Mrs Milin Jun 2021
Very comfortable spacious house.
Mrs Le Grys Nov 2020
Very tidy and clean house, lots of space and facilities are good. The house was warm, ideal in October as we found beds to be very comfy....it’s on the road but quiet at night so it does not disturb you at all. The walk into town is about 10-15 minutes depending on how quick you walk, but a taxi is cheap if you don’t fancy the exercise. We would definitely stop there again, thank you, we had a great week in the house!
Mr Pearson Nov 2020
A lovely pristine well equipped well looked after property. On the quite busy Upper Stennack the road out of St Ives. Some road noise if your a light sleeper. Great to have parking. We enjoyed the walk down and up. Anyone reading this that are staying during Covid times bring some settee cushions as these have been removed and the settees are slippery without them. Massive comfy bed in the master bedroom. We would return if they maybe offered a discount for two. It’s quite expensive if not. The Co-op a few minutes walk away is very handy. I had a shop delivered from Asda to save carrying heavy stuff. We used the fabulous St Ives pizza company for a couple of meals as we tried to avoid the busy restaurants in town. I’d recommend booking anywhere you want to eat/drink in as that’s what most people do. Thanks for the tea bags, coffee, biscuits and the allotment deli voucher. They were a nice welcome gift.
Miss Woodham Oct 2020
Loscombe is a beautiful property in a fantastic location for visiting St Ives and nearby towns and beaches. The property is an excellent size for a family of 6 with plenty of room in both the sitting room and dining room and nice sized bedrooms too. There is ample kitchen equipment for cooking and plenty of utensils. The hill down into St Ives is steep on the way back up but we all managed it no problems each day and actually quite enjoyed the extra bit of exercise which meant guilt free ice creams on the beach! It took us all about 15 mins to walk back up so not far at all really. It’s worth mentioning that bedroom 1 with the en-suite leads directly off the kitchen which isn’t ideal for privacy but for a holiday home wasn’t a major problem.
Mrs Koerner Aug 2020
Loscombe is a very comfortable house. It has a very well stocked kitchen. There are plenty of DVDs if you want to watch them. You can park 2 cars easily. It is well situated for touring around but also to go into St Ives - the walk back is all uphill.
Ms Bent Feb 2020
We all love Loscombe and this is our second trip and equally good this time around. Lovely airy bungalow with great facilities and comforts. Close to the sea front and town literally a five minute car ride away. Would like to recommend but don't want everyone to know about it ( ha ha) . Looking forward to our next visit.St Ives is fabulous.
Mrs Powell Oct 2019
Excellent service and a lovely property
Mr Hammond Oct 2019
Excellent large spacious house, lots of extras in kitchen cupboards, nice secluded garden great for pets, close to town centre never used the car.
Mr Hammond Aug 2019
Love this property. Very spacious and always feels like home from home for us.
Mrs Crowe Jul 2019
This was our 2nd booking with Aspects & they are, definitely, the best holiday company! The staff are so lovely & friendly & nothing is too much trouble, I cannot praise them highly enough! The property we stayed in last year, Stones Court, was great & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. That's why we booked with Aspects again this year &, because we recommended them to my 88 year old mum & my sister, they booked with Aspects too & were as pleased with their holiday home as we were with ours. This year, because we had our 4 month old granddaughter with us as well as her 4 year old brother, we booked a bigger property, Loscombe, which was just as fab as last year's accommodation. We cannot recommend Aspects highly enough!
Mrs Mann Jun 2019
Loscombe is a very smart holiday home, spacious and well equipped. We really appreciated it and will be back if possible
Mrs Powell Apr 2019
Perfect place to stay, comfortable, clean, with everything you could possibly need and more, definitely a place to return to, we love staying here, and so will you.
Mrs Felton Mar 2019
Loscombe is a very comfortable and spacious house with lots of home from home touches. There is a co-op within walking distance and an excellent fish and chip shop nearby. Our dog is used to walking in a park/ woods and we found a lovely park which went out onto the moors just round he corner with wonderful views of St Ives Bay. It is a very steep walk back up from St Ives, we cheated and took turns paying for a cab which was surprisingly reasonable. The ladies at Aspects were very helpful with any questions we had. We look forward to returning next year which we booked before we left.
Ms Bent Feb 2019
We stayed here for Christmas and we were 2 families of 4 adults a teenager and a dog and we had plenty of space in every room. it is so much bigger than the pictures. Kitchen facilities are great absolutely everything you need. Ample wardrobe and draw spaces in every bedroom and lots of hangers which makes a nice change. Great location 10 min walk down hill to St Ives as stated steep uphill coming back though but it keeps you fit. We loved it would recommend without hesitation.
Mrs Watson Jan 2019
Loscombe is a wonderful family home, that is perfect for a holiday break away, everything that is needed for the kitchen is here, the complimentary things are very welcomed, small touches like these are lovely, as well as the towels and tea towels, we enjoyed our stay here, we were not disappointed, you’ll love it .

Would certainly recommend this cottage as a excellent base to explore Cornwall
Mrs Maltby Jun 2018
Excellent spacious accomodation, ideal base from which to see the area.
Mr Metcalf May 2018
Loscombe is an ideal cottage to stay in if you want to visit St Ives. Although you are not in the centre of things, it is an easy 10 to 20 minute walk down into St Ives depending on how fast you walk, and a not quite so easy walk back up. We did walk up most days though, but you can also catch a taxi or bus if you don't fancy the walk. The cottage is really well equipped and the furnishings are extremely comfortable. It really does feel like a home from home. There are lots of games provided so there's plenty to do if you want to stay home from time to time. We would definitely recommend staying here.
Mrs Whelan Jan 2018
Beautiful spacious light and airy house in great position
Mr Blakesley Jun 2017

Mr Peers May 2017
Such a beautiful property. Perfect location and a true home from home. The property exceeded my expectations from what i had read and the pictures viewed on your website. The handy welcome folder with local information at the property was also very useful. I think we will definitely be visiting this property in St Ives again.
Mr Bhathal Jul 2016
Good sized property with its own ensuite for the master bedroom.
Mr Long Apr 2016

Mrs Copp Apr 2016
Loscombe was a fantastic holiday home it has everything you need. Very spacious house and great location and the plus point is parking space for two cars. We had a fantastic week and the weather was good for October. We would recommend Aspects holidays to anyone. We will definitely be back.
Ms Morris Oct 2015
St Ives is such a popular holiday location there are numerous properties on offer. I think most are apartment types in very tight streets where parking is completely out of the question. Loscombe is detched, spacious, parking for 2 cars and ideal for a great holiday.
Mr Collinson Oct 2015
