White Cove is located in one of the most sought after areas in St Ives, literally just a few paces away from Porthgwidden beach and benefits from some lovely views. As well as this, the property is pet-friendly, and with The Island and Porthmeor beach next door and year-round dog walking beach Bamaluz close by, walks with your pooch will be perfect all year round. The property inside is bright with a modern finish, and provides a lovely space for families or couples to enjoy their holiday.
With the beach as your back garden, what's not to love! You can stroll along most beaches during dog-friendly periods. White Cove also has a lovely snug area at the top of the house to cosy down and read a good book and a handy bench to the front of the property to sit with your cuppa in the mornings and soak in that sea air! You are also only a few minutes walk from the harbour, where you can catch a pint in the sun at The Sloop and take your pick of the lovely cafes and restaurants around the town.

This is a lovely cottage and a delight to retreat to in this most unusual of years. Our two weeks went far too quickly and we look forward to next year's visit. As usual part of the holiday was spent finishing a novel to submit to my publisher and this year we also celebrated a book release as well. What better way to work than looking out to sea on a sunny day!

We have just stayed at White Cove and found it exceptional! It was very clean, spacious, modern, well equipped and dog friendly! The location is perfect and we would definitely stay here again! Claire Collins, August 20

Lovely location , so close to the beach so ideal for children or dogs . Stairs not suitable for young children so maybe child gates would be good . En suite is very small and shower not suitable for anyone tall . View is lovely !

The location certainly is lovely; we are glad that you liked it. If you would ever require stair gates and these are not provided at a property, please just let us know and we can see if we have any in storage, if not we can put you in contact with a hire company that can supply them. If you are tall, the shower height and overall cubicle size is certainly something to consider. We try to make this as clear as possible within the photos and description, so we hope that this was what you had expected. Thank you for your helpful comments and we hope to see you again. Again we had a wonderful week at White Cove. Either relaxing and looking at the view or heading out for a walk White Cove is perfectly situated for our holiday. Henry, the dog loves the cottage too.

Mrs Jeens May 2019
We always look forward to visiting White Cove for a relaxing holiday with sea views. As always I had to work on a book but it is a joy to work in such a lovely place. Henry (our dog) loves White Cove!
Mrs Everest Apr 2019
We look forward to our visits to Downalong, St Ives each year and to White Cove in particular. The property is clean, welcoming and perfect for us. I've had to work during several visits and have completed two novels whilst staying at White Cove. The perfect property for a writer!
Mrs Everest Oct 2018
Loved it! A real holiday ‘home’, clean, comfortable and everything you need in a fantastic location.
Mrs Kilvert Aug 2018
My hope is to buy my own property on Downalong. Aspect are ideally suited to have a section on their website for such sales. Just a suggestion ... !
Mrs Everest Mar 2018
Lovely cottage! Its all about location, location, location and this one has it!
Mr Barton Feb 2018
Fantastic Location with superb sea views. Modern and well equipped and benefit of being pet friendly.
Mr Tonks Jan 2018
Beautiful cottage in just about the best location in St Ives! Falling out of the door in the morning for breakfast in Porthgwidden Café was a highlight!
Mrs Ibbott Oct 2017
Our stay was relaxing and enjoyable in White Cove. Ideal for our dog, Henry, as well! Wifi was good which was perfect for this author! We will return.
Mrs Everest Oct 2017
This cottage is ideal for a family with older children as its location is superb. The steep stairs, I would suggest is not suited for toddlers. The location is brilliant being 30 seconds from beach but this brings its downside as the Porthgwidden bistro can be noisy at night. If you want a quiet get away White Cove if not for you but if you want a property that is at the heart of the beach in the day as well as a social hub at night then White Cove is for you

Thank you for your helpful comments. Any property within the heart of St Ives will be prone to hearing the hustle and bustle of the town, but for many this is far outweighed by the convenience and ambience of being in the heart of it all, just a short stroll to all the stunning beaches in the town, the restaurants, cafes, unique shops and galleries. And with much of St Ives being hilly, it also has the benefit of being a level walk to all of these great places. We are glad that it worked well for you, it certainly sounds like you enjoyed the property and St Ives. Hope to see you again soon. Tanya, Customer Services
We very much enjoyed 'White Cove'. It was a wonderful location - very convenient for body boarding and then getting warm quickly!
The decor was lovely - very bright and fresh.
It was well equipped and with excellent instructions/information given about the equipment in the house.
Mr Williams Aug 2017
One of the best properties we have stayed in when we have visited St Ives!
