Tykky Dyw Downalong, St Ives

£446 - £1215

Tykky Dyw (pronounced 'Ticky Dew') is a gorgeous cottage tucked away in a beautiful central location. From the cottage you can step out and within seconds you'll be right on the harbour front. The stunning golden sands of Porthmeor beach are only a five minute walk away too. The property is set over four floors, with quite a quirky layout, has lots of character and is well equipped.

At the front of the cottage there is a small patio area with bistro table and chairs and to the rear, on the ground floor there is a small shared courtyard with your own bench, so you can make the best of the sunshine. The brilliant snug room allows the children to watch what they want, while the rest of the party have some quiet time together. It's an all round winner! "Tykky Dyw" is Cornish for "Butterfly".

It's a very nice cottage in a great location just off the harbour. Lots of character. Would not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems or very young children as there are three flights of steep stairs but as a family of four with a 10 year old and a 12 year old we really enjoyed it.

Mr Underhill

Fantastic property in a wonderful location. Everything you’d need for a stay is provided. Best of all, the dog loved it.
