Ideally located in the heart of Downalong with two parking spaces directly outside, The Cobbles is a boutique self catering cottage just bursting with charm. Just a short stroll to Porthmeor beach, the bustling Fore Street and St Ives harbour. Formerly a pilchard press, it has been lovingly converted into a spacious home for a family of seven yet can very easily cater for smaller groups and couples wishing to enjoy its location and character at a significantly reduced weekly rate (restrictions apply).

spiral staircase leads from entrance down one level to kitchen/dining and additional sitting room, gas hob and oven, tumble dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, dining table with four chairs and three seater bench, two sofas, armchair, radio/CD/iPod dock, TV/DVD and Wii.

accessed from ground floor; king size bed, TV, en suite with shower, WC, basin.

There is a small outside area from the front basement door into an area of planting with storage for beach items WiFi, one dog welcome, short breaks available.

Downalong

Situated between Porthmeor Beach and the harbour, where fishermen still land a daily catch, holiday cottages in this area are ideally situated for those guests who want to stay right in the heart of the town within seconds of all St Ives has to offer. St Ives Lifeboat Day

A fun packed day hosted by the RNLI lifeboat Station. See the lifeboats on display and in action on the water with demonstrations featuring one of the Search & Rescue helicopters from RNAS Culdrose!

St Ives Feast Day

Held on the anniversary of the consecration of the Parish Church of St Eia in 1434 AD, Feast Day offers visitors to witness - and even join in with - some centuries-old traditions. A morning precesison led by the Mayor to bless the Well of St Eia. Following this, the Mayor will 'Hurls the Silver Ball' into a crowd of children who assemble on the beach below. The one who returns the ball to the Guildhall steps by midday receives a silver coin. In the afternoon the Mayor then throw pennies from the balcony of the Guildhall for children to collect.
