Wow! St Nicholas Cottage is a truly magnificent property in the heart of St Ives. Once inside, it's apparent how much of a treasure it really is. As well as being fabulously interior designed from top to bottom, it boasts sea views, a parking space and is just metres from Porthgwidden beach - you could even stroll to the beach with your morning cup of tea.
Whisk yourself and your friends and family away, to come to together and enjoy this warm, welcoming and elegant property. St Nicholas Cottage is perfect for extended family, special celebrations or smaller parties looking for that something special. There are five beautiful bedrooms, all very comfortable and some have both sea views and en suites. There is also a snug, with sofa bed, where the children can get together and watch their favourite film, while the rest of you enjoy a bottle, or two, in the sitting area downstairs. On other nights you can all get together outside and cook up a storm for barbeque suppers and evening sundowners. You'll also find some of the most delectable restaurants in the town, which are just moments away from the front door. After a day of soaking up the sun on the beach, you'll be so excited to open the doors of your temporary home, put your feet up and relax even more! We had a great week with 8 adults in the property and more than enough space. The location on the Island is the best and the parking space took a Land Rover. The nearby Island car park is very convenient and the pre-booked Cornwall County Council online weekly parking ticket for the other adults was reasonable, although the car park is busy even when the schools are back and there's often some waiting. As usual the restuarants are best pre-booked to avoid disappointment. This time we didn't leave St Ives for much of the week and when we did we used the train to Carbis Bay, and to St Erth for the Jubilee Pool in Penzance which was cheap and easy. There's plenty to do in St Ives for a week even though we've been going there for many years, and the coastal walks away from St Ives in both directions are always rewarding.

Great holiday at St Nicholas' cottage. We were a party of 6 adults and 2 teenagers and the property size is perfect. Very well equipped and plenty of room. Very close to Porthgwidden beach. Parking space actually fits our 4x4 but small car better. Nearest parking otherwise is the Island public car park, which is always full so be prepared for a wait if you need to use it. Heard someone say 2 hours to get a space! No real alternatives if you are staying here. Have booked for next year.

We have just had a very enjoyable week at this cottage. It is in a very good location being close to the town and beaches. It is very well equipped with everything you need for your holiday. Having said that, it is looking a bit shabby and could do with decorating and a deep clean.

It's great to hear you had a lovely stay, and thank you for taking the time to provide a review. The owners of St Nicholas Cottage recently carried out a lot of decorating and maintenance work on the property to ensure it was at its best ahead of the season, so it is a shame to hear that there were some areas that you felt needed attention. A lot can happen to a property during a busy season of letting, but please know your comments have been passed across to the owner to take into future consideration. Katy, Customer Services.
This was our second visit to St Nicholas Cottage and it was just as enjoyable as the first time.. This time round we had warmer weather so enjoyed using the BBQ and sitting out the back a few afternoons/evenings. There was 8 of us staying at the property and not once did we feel on top of each other - there was plenty of room and space for us all. The location of this property is amazing.. Close enough for everything but yet nice and peaceful too. We can’t wait to return xx
Miss Woodward May 2024
The location of the property puts you right in the centre of St Ives. All beaches are on the doorstep. The property is extremely well equipped, and is ideal for a large family or two families to self cater with 4 toilets and 3 bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped to cook meals and the dining room and lounge are perfect for relaxing. The bedrooms are beautiful and the quality of the bedding was not unnoticed, soft cotton and beautiful. And a parking space too !
Mrs McDermot Apr 2024
Just returned from a fabulous break - ten ladies singing at the shanty festival and relaxing at the beautiful cottage in between. Cannot fault it.
Dr Perry Dec 2023
Just had a 2 week stay in beautiful St Ives. Our 2nd stay at St Nicholas Cottage. Perfectly located close to 2 beaches and the harbour with parking. The cottage is very well equipped, very clean, with nice bedding and towels. The cottage and garden is in need of some tlc to make it stand up to the high prices being charged.

We are so pleased to hear that you had another lovely stay at St Nicholas Cottage, and that you enjoyed all of the amenities the property has to offer. Your comments get automatically passed on to the property owners, who are very pro-active in addressing feedback and we have booked in a full inspection so that we can check on any areas that should be addressed. We very much hope we can welcome you back to St Nicholas Cottage for another visit! Customer Services, Aspects Holidays.
After 16 years of going to St Nicks - we love it! Everything as always excellent.
Mrs Shipsey Aug 2023
We were disappointed with the overall maintenance , maintenance of the property should be checked before every time a new guess arrives. Having to report faults is time wasting and stressful . I didn’t expect to have to do this . It spoiled our time in St Nicholas cottage.

We were so sorry that you experienced these problems while you were here. Unfortunately, as with all properties, there can be minor maintenance issues and occasionally, as in your case, we will not know that these are problems until they get reported to us. The housekeepers check what they can on the changeover. However, they are not using the facilities in the same way as a guest does, so it will not always be possible for them to notice all maintenance issues. As soon as a report is made, we always work very hard with the property owner, and as quickly as possible to rectify any issues, no matter how small, using trusted trades so that you can still carry on with your plans for the day while we get the issues fixed. With trades being sent over swiftly to address the maintenance issues after you reported it, we do hope that this meant that you were still able to enjoy your visit to St Ives. Aspects Holidays, Customer Services
The property is excellent for large families , pleasant and comfortable although in need of a paint throughout .The plusses are one parking space included , easy access to loads of shops and food outlets and restaurants . Very close to Portgwidden beach , a lovely small beach .

We are glad to hear that you liked it here and thank you so much for taking the time to send in your helpful feedback. We have passed on your suggestion about the painting to the owner. A lot can happen in a short space of time in properties, especially the exceptionally popular ones like St Nicholas Cottage, that are booked up so much, so thank you for bringing this to our attention. I am aware that the owners are coming to have a look and they will book in anything that is required after this. Hopefully we will see you back here again soon. Aspects Holidays, Customer Services
St Nicholas Cottage lived up to it's expectations, and was in a perfect position for our beachy holiday. We couldn't have asked for more. It is a stones throw from our favourite beach, Porthgwidden, yet so very clise to the shops and the harbour as well. We had an awesome holiday, and will return to stay at the cottage again, when there are as many of us. I love Aspects Holiday homes and use them every time, so we have stayed in many wonderful places.
Miss Holland Jun 2023
Absolutely perfect location to harbour, main street and all beaches.
The cottage had every utensil or cleaning aid needed during your stay.
Washing line and pegs and washing machine/tumble dryer.
Coal bbq added bonus which was clean.
Would recommend using the island car park by the cottage rather than rugby club as bit of a walk esp if your needing the car to do some site seeing during stay.
A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location providing a lovely holiday for all ages and mobilities.
Mr Hill May 2023
Excellent location. A stone’s throw from both Porthgwidden and Porthmeor beaches. Very well equipped kitchen and nicely furnished. Ideal for a multi family holiday.
Mrs Dudley May 2023
The property was spotless. So very pleasant in every way. Tastefully decorated throughout and very comfortably furnished and appointed. The beds and linens were very good quality and I think this was the most restful week away we have ever had. Great fun finding the cutlery drawer. It was lovely having all the family together for dinner - so many places can’t comfortably seat the group in one sitting. Loved every minute here.
Mr Huish-Blount Apr 2023
Location is amazing, and the cottage is large and spacious. 8 of us stayed there without feeling we were on top of each other. The parking space is so useful, and the Island Car Park is only a few steps away. Cottage was immaculately clean and cosy.
Miss Batstone Apr 2023
Such a lovely house in a perfect location. We absolutely loved our stay for my husbands 30th and all our friends were so impressed.
Mrs Shyne Mar 2023
Great place to stop very well equipped loved every min ! Only thing parking space is very small just got car in !!
Mrs Skelton Mar 2023
We came to the cottage as a group of female shanty singers and we filled the cottage with songs from the sea and lots of laughter. An excellent base where we felt very relaxed in beautiful surroundings. I have just rebooked for next year.
Dr Perry Nov 2022
Such an amazing location and a beautiful spacious house with added bonus of a parking space and sunny private courtyard garden. Beautiful views of the Island and sea, plus you could just about hear the waves at night - perfect!
Ms Keily Sep 2022
An ideal property for a three generation family in terms of both accomodation and location. This was our 9th stay at St. Nicholas cottage and we shall be confirming our booking to return next year.
Mrs O'Donnell Aug 2022
If you want a home that is in an amazing location for St ives centre then this is the place. It only has one parking space but there is a car park 2 minutes away where you can park for the week. The house has all the facilities you need with plenty of bedrooms and living areas too. We especially loved the courtyard and vicinity to the beaches & town. Will definitely be back!
Mrs Coates Jul 2022
We have stayed at st Nicholas cottage 3 times now. This time 8 of us stayed.
Enough room for everyone.
It has everything you need for you to have a fabulous holiday.
Very comfy beds !! Lovely interior, Parking space and car parking near by.
Close to the beaches and town.
Loved staying here
Mr Cunane May 2022
We have recently got back for a weeks stay at St Nicholas Cottage. We had such a wonderful time. The property is in a perfect location - close enough to town but without the hustle and bustle. The parking spot at the rear was a real bonus for us too. The property has everything you need. There was plenty of space for our party of 8. The property could do with a little TLC but it’s only from wear and tear from being a rental property. We will definitely be back again to stay here x
Miss Woodward Apr 2022
Recently returned from a long weekend to celebrate family members birthdays. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning. The cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly need and in a brilliant location with everything on your doorstep. Already looking for our next visit. Thankyou Aspects Team
Mrs Taylor Apr 2022
We went for my husbands 40th very pleased with the welcome pack, they left a birthday card and 2 bottles of Prosecco such a lovely gesture. Car parking space around the back was so handy, we went as a party so they used the 24 hour car park a 30 second walk from the back of the house.only cost them £15 Friday to Monday.probably because it was out of season in March but still a good price considering the location. All in all it was a fantastic break away in a stunning house with friends making memories which is what it’s all about, thank you so much.
Mrs Machen Mar 2022
Excellent location, very clean, very well stocked in the kitchen with crockery, utensils, coffee machine etc. . Bedding fresh & towels. Always hot water, good choice of TV programmes. We had a great time & couldn’t have asked for a more perfect cottage, it made our stay!
Mrs Conabeare Mar 2022
Location excellent but needs some TLC.

We are delighted that you enjoyed the amazing location of this property. Thank you for your feedback which has been promptly addressed
This cottage was spacious yet cosy with lots of character and thoughtful touches. The central location was perfect and it even had a parking space - which is like gold dust in St Ives!
Mrs Verling Dec 2021
St Nicholas cottage was an absolute delight! Located perfectly close to the beaches and harbour, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Tastefully decorated with quality, comfortable furnishings, the cottage provided a perfect bolthole for a large family gathering, spacious enough to allow everyone to eat and relax together, yet still be able to find a quiet corner to be undisturbed. The parking space and outdoor seating is the cherry on top! Immpeccably clean with every utensil or household item you will need. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us!
Mrs Jazdowska Nov 2021
We had the most lovely time staying in St Nicholas cottage. It really is a beautiful cottage . Just away from the hustle and bustle but a very short walk to get to the harbour . Stunning views , perfect location and just a beautiful property . Would highly recommend.
Miss Sugden Nov 2021
A great house in a fabulous location, with comfortable bedrooms and pleasant communal space in the lounge/diner. Service from Aspects when we reported a couple of issues was brilliant.
Mrs Branson Oct 2021
Fabulous location, perfect for early morning swim the sea at Porthgwidden. Great to have a parking space and outside seating area. The house is very spacious, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The snug was a lovely, bright and cosy place for reading during the day. We would certainly stay there again.
Mrs Crisp Oct 2021
My family and friends really enjoyed our October break in this lovely house with views, back garden and a car parking space. Would love to come back.
Mrs Thompson Oct 2021
St Nicholas Cottage… is in a quiet side street… a stones throw from Porth Gwidden beach and St Ives harbour front! A truly perfect location. It has parking for one car … which is rather tight if your car is large! However… l would recommend travelling by train! Which is what we did…It was stress free all the way and the coastal scenery from St Erth to St Ives is wonderful. Everything in the area is accessible by foot! Lovely breezy hill top walks and interesting local shops! The Cottage is well planned out with a large communal area and well equipped kitchen. The small patio is a bonus and sits 10-12 people easily! The beds are all very comfy and although some have to share a bathroom we found it no problem. X2 rooms have en-suites! .. with sea views from upstairs! All in all… we had a great holiday in a great location and would definitely stay there again!!
Ms Wellington Oct 2021
For a large family St Nicholas cottage is perfect We highly recommend it, had a fabulous week there Mike and Amy
Mr Henning Sep 2021

The property exceeded our expectations in many ways. We would certainly recommend St Nicholas Cottage and hope to return to very soon.
M Silvester Jul 2021
We have stayed at St Nicholas Cottage twice and looking to book again for next year.
The property is in a good location, only a short walk away from the town, beaches & additional parking on the Island Carpark (if needed). One is provided at the Cottage.
The beds are very comfy and well furnished. Everything you need for a great holiday.
Aspects Holidays also provided good customer service.
Mr Cunane May 2021
We had a brilliant week at St Nicholas Cottage. The location was perfect, with 3 beaches literally only a few steps away, and the parking space was a real bonus.
Miss Batstone Apr 2021
A lovely cottage which is well furnished and located close to all beaches and the town. Aspects were very responsive and helpful and provided great customer service. We were very impressed.
Mr Phillips Nov 2020
Had a lovely holiday in St Ives despite the awful weather (Storm Alex). The cottage is in a good location for beaches and town and the parking is an added bonus. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay although it was a little bit too big for just the two of us! During these difficult times I would suggest you plan ahead and book restaurants in advance as we struggled on a couple of occasions to find anywhere with availability - some places were booked up for the whole week.
Mrs Lynn Oct 2020
St Nicholas Cottage suited my family holiday perfectly . Its like a tardis inside and we were very impressed. Home from Home. Very close to all beaches and parking close by if needed, though it does have parking for 1 car. A lovely furnished cottage. Very comfy beds. Eating area outside (weather permitting). We would and will be staying there again.
Mr Cunane Sep 2020
St. Nicholas Cottage is the perfect property for a family holiday catering, in our case, for 3 generations. We have just completed our 7th year in the cottage and have booked to stay there again next year!
Mrs O'Donnell Jul 2020
Superb cottage within easy walking distance of the main street and the Island. Our group would definitely go again.

Mr Wearmouth Aug 2019
St Nicholas Cottage is perfect in everyway, the property is ideally positioned, always immaculate in everyway - just a perfect holiday home. Shipsey Family Salisbury.
Ms Shipsey Aug 2019
St Nicholas Cottage was simply a fantastic find after a couple of years of not quite getting it right this one was brilliant! Big enough for 10 with space enough to spread out and have games in one area and a debate going on in another and tv in another! Beautifully appointed, modern yet quirky layout two stairways led to much confusion and kids saying they were going to bed to reappear in another part of the house and not in bed at all! Close enough to Porthmeor to pop to beach in bare feet, or set up camp not far to cart gear; parking space for one made it easier to ferry gear from other cars parked up by the Tate or fire station. All mod cons in kitchen, BBQ outside, place for beach boards and dry kit as well as sit out and enjoy a glass of bubbly! Great for ages 12 to 85, we will be back!
Mrs Everall Aug 2019
St Nicholas is amazing - we’ve stayed more than once, new owners have improved things even more. Space for everyone, incredibly clean and well maintained. Fabbest location and parking - can’t beat it ????
Mrs Jackson Aug 2019
This well furnished cottage is an excellent location for a family beach holiday.
Mr Clarke Jul 2019
Another lovely family holiday in St. Nicholas Cottage which provides excellent and very comfortable accomodation for three generations ranging from the ages of 5 to 81! Everything that anyone could possibly want is within easy walking distance, especially Porthgwidden Beach and the beach cafe, the Norway Stores for morning croissants and the Mermaid Restaurant (the granchildren's favourite place to eat!)
Mrs O'Donnell Jul 2019
Really enjoyed our stay at St Nicholas cottage. Just a short walk to beaches & town. Would like to return if downstairs toilet was installed.
Mrs Wood Jun 2019
St Nicholas cottage was the perfect place to stay as a large group of us. The cottage was lovely and clean, well equipped and had everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. The outside courtyard was a great addition for evening meals in the sunshine. The cottage was in the perfect location. With the added bonus of a parking space.
Mr Carter Jun 2019
This is a beautiful cottage on three levels. It is situated in a lovely quiet area but just a few minutes walk from Porthgwidden Beach and The Island and a few more minutes to Porthmeor for the Tate and the beach. The parking space was big enough for an estate car and for extra guests it is only a short walk from the Island car park. Norway Stores is only a few minutes walk away for extra supplies.. .
Mrs Pomeroy May 2019
Fantastic property, close to the centre of St.Ives and near to all of the beaches. Very luxurious with great fittings and equipment. Added bonus of a parking space!
Mr Smith May 2019
Stunning property which I would recommend to anyone.

You have to go through the front door of St Nicholas Cottage to really appreciate what a true holiday treasure it is.
Ms Shipsey Aug 2018
This is a wonderful property, the best we have stayed in in St Ives (this was our 8th visit). Proximity to the beach, parking, gorgeous house AND an outdoor space makes this property pretty perfect!!
Mrs Morgan Aug 2018
St Nicholas Cottage is wonderful. Beautifully decorated, comfy beds and the whole family loved it. The location is brilliant, we had a 2 min. walk to our favourite beach and not much longer to get down to the harbour.
