This is our second visit to 5 Beach Court this year and have already booked for next year so this should speak for itself! If you love the beach this is the place for you. Accommodation has everything you could want and then some!

September 2023

This was our first time in Cornwall and St Ives was an ideal place for us with two children aged 9 and 12 who loved how close we were to beaches, shops and cafes.

The house is small but I think all the houses in St Ives are small! The location couldn't be better and it was very tastefully furnished and decorated.

We appreciated the outside tap for hosing down after a session body boarding.

The car park was very busy but we hardly left St Ives and were lucky to get a space when we had been out. My advice would be to ignore the sign advising that it's full and wait for a space - that's what most people seem to do and there isn't much alternative without parking quite far away.

Great position, quiet property and very nicely decorated, but please be aware of the hard to open inner door handles (for anyone that has grip issues/arthritis) and please check with Aspects if a DVD player is fully connected/operational before taking DVDs with you, as although there is one, its not suitable for connecting to the current TV.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are sorry to hear that some of your party had issues with the door handles in the property, this isn't something that we have had reported before, but we will certainly keep an eye on this moving forward. Since your stay we have updated the property description to remove mention of the DVD player, and we are ever so sorry for any inconvenience caused. We hope we can welcome you back to St Ives again soon. Katy, Customer Services.

Stylish and comfortable accommodation a minute away from the beach! A lovely stay with good food, great views and wonderful sunsets on your doorstep. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent property in a fabulous location. We had a lovely stay as a family of 3 with young child and dog - plenty of space for us all. Very comfortable and well equipped with easy access to beaches and harbour. Good for accessibility as easy street-level access and wide staircase up to bedrooms and bathroom. Kitchen well-equipped but compact - we generally eat out on holiday so this wasn't a problem for us. Lovely decor and bright, sunny rooms.

Proximity to beaches is fabulous and outside courtyard with wash off facility was great for morning swims. Accommodation was of a very high standard, immaculate and comfortable. Would book again.

Excellent location, stylish house with some added bits of luxury but cheap shower and sofas let it down for us and the bathroom needed a deep clean.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are sorry to hear that the sofas were not to your preference. It can be very difficult to find things like sofas and mattresses that will suit everyone, with everyone's tastes and preferences being so different, but we will monitor further feedback on this. We will pass on the feedback about the bathroom to this owner's housekeeper, thank you for letting us know and we are sorry if anything was not to the high standards that we would expect for guests. This property only has electric for its power/heating source, so the shower is an electric one. They are generally not as powerful as other types of showers and often look quite basic no matter how expensive they are. Your feedback is automatically passed on to the owners though, for their consideration. Tanya, Customer Services

Octopus House is perfect ideal location and so glad it is Pet Friendly and with easy walks to the town and beaches. We have used Aspect Holidays for over 20 years and will continue to do so We love Cornwall especially St Ives it’s magical Many thanks Tony and Louise Wright

A very peaceful stay, Would recommend this property totally, Just wonderful

Great location. Comfortable accommodation.

A very clean and comfortable property (the cleanest holiday property we have ever stayed in!) which was convenient for the Island car park. The welcome pack of milk in the fridge and a cream tea was much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Octopus House is very well presented with Porthgwidden beach on your doorstep a perfect location.

Brillant holiday home, everything you could need, absolutely amazing

We had a fantastic week at Octopus House. Excellent location, right beside the beach. The house was very comfortable with everything we needed. Small, but perfectly formed.

Octopus house is a cosy, well equipped, modern property next to the Island. A wonderfully light and clean house with everything you'll need. Beds are very comfortable. One of the best properties I've stayed in!

Our first experience with Aspects Holidays and it was all great. We wouldn't hesitate to book through them again. Octopus House was fabulous - such a great location for Porthgwidden/Porthmeor beaches and within minutes walk of the wharf/fore street too! The house was immaculate, had everything that we needed for a very comfortable stay. The 2nd bedroom is cosy but it is only for sleeping in so was fine. The beds in both rooms were very comfortable.Good to have bed linen and towels provided as other companies we've used in St Ives don't so you either have to pay more to rent them or bring your own with you. Kitchen seemed well equipped but to be honest we didn't do any cooking...ate out/takeaways for us!

Great location, excellent facilities 100% stay again!!

We had a lovely Autumn holiday using Octopus House as our base. The location couldn't be better, with a beautiful beach almost at the front door and a 5-minute walk to the harbour, but also really quiet being off the busy one-way thoroughfare through Downalong. The house has been finished to a high spec, with comfortable beds, big TV and WiFi, a good kitchen, classy furniture and smart bathroom, and the decor is refreshingly free of that driftwood/shell clutter you can often get in Cornish holiday lets. Particular thanks to the Aspects Team (Tabitha and Nicole) who retrieved and returned something I left behind: great service all round! Highly recommend.

Fantastic modern, well equipped cottage, close to the amenities and the Island. Very quiet on an evening so no disturbed sleep. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Octopus House in St Ives. Everything about it was perfect - the location, the comfort, cleanliness, high spec of finish all led to a great stay and the service from Aspect holidays was great too - very smooth and easy, from booking through to after service. Thankyou for our lovely holiday.

Beautiful holiday home with modern interior and appliances. Well located next to 2 stunning beaches and very close to the town centre. Would recommend to friends and family.

Excellent property & location Can’t wait to stay there again Fantastic week . Thank you Aspects

Great location especially if you have any children. Steps from the beach and shops. Beautifully decorated Only negative is the lack of any designated adjacent parking.

It's great to hear how much you enjoyed Octopus House. Parking is unfortunately at a premium in St Ives with many of the properties that are in the best central locations not having this facility. For those without parking, it is always worth looking into options beforehand on the local council website and private parking availability, particularly for peak weeks. There is also a park and ride facility which some find useful. Please feel free to contact the team for any advice. Thanks for your comments, and we hope to see you back here soon. Octopus House exceeded all our expectations! A cute little 2 bed right in between two of St Ives best beaches.

The property has an open plan set up on the ground floor with a modern bathroom plus two bedrooms. Down stairs is decorated and spected to a lovely standard with BOSH appliances in the kitchen and a Siemens washing machine.

The master bedroom has sea views, the bathroom and second bedroom are to the rear over looking the courtyard.

All in all an excellent place to stay in the world's best place.
