An Attractive cottage, with easy access to the main day time and night time attractions of St Ives. We were both old and infirm, and enjoyed the short walk to the Sloop Inn where there was live music and real ale. Maybe our choice of September Festival time was advantageous.

Great location for restaurants and beaches

Another fantastic stay with Aspects. Harbour View cottage is in a superb location between Harbour beach and Porthmeor beach. Seconds from Fore street and the quayside too.

The rooms are larger than most other cottages we've stayed in around Downalong and were all very well presented. Very comfortable beds, lovely towels and a big, walk in shower. A lovely, cosy cottage.

Perfect location for ease of beaches and town. Compact living area, small for family of 4. Comfy beds. Nice window view from top.

Lovely cottage with great location.

Unfortunately we had to waste time complaining about a leaky kitchen tap which flooded the kitchen floor and which clearly was known about before our stay and not dealt with before or during our stay despite our many complaints. Only at the end of the stay after multiple complaints did we even get an apology. This was the fault of Aspect they can and should have properly dealt with this much earlier.

Also despite saying the essentials were included, the lack of soap, shower gel, washing-up liquid, toilet paper (only one roll), cooking oil, salt and pepper meant that we had to waste time and money buying these things. Arriving at a property with no soap is not something we expected.

We are sorry if there has been some kind of misunderstanding and if any of the team had not responded to your complaint in the most appropriate way. We understood there to be water dripping from the draining board onto the floor due to the style/size of the drainage tray, rather than a leak from the tap. As there was no fault, all we could do was acknowledge your feedback and pass it to the owner, so they could consider an additional/different drainage tray. We would like to reassure you that there was no previous knowledge of a leak/drip and we have since checked the taps to ensure they work as they should. We are also sorry if there was any confusion over what you should expect to arrive to. We try to make this clear within our literature, but if you are ever booking a property through us again, it is worth being aware that as the properties are self-catered, owners only provide tea, coffee, milk, sugar, tea towels, and enough toilet rolls, dishcloths, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and washing detergent to get you started so you don't need to go straight to the shops as soon as you arrive. Some of our owners choose to provide little extras for your enjoyment too, but these can vary from property to property and are not guaranteed, so things like soap, shower gel, cooking oil, salt and pepper would not usually be provided. We had a very enjoyable stay at Harbour View Cottage. Whilst it is a small cottage it was fine for the 3 of us and the location was spot on being very near to the beaches and harbour. We found it was a quiet location too, just away from the hustle and bustle of Fore St & The Digey. It was clean and comfortable and had everything that we needed.

Very comfortable accommodation, perfect location next to harbour, beaches, shops and restaurants - but still quiet and peaceful. The cottage also had body boards, wind break, umbrella, which was so handy, when travelling from Edinburgh to St Ives, this saved lots of space in the car!

Lovely cottage in an excellent location for easy access to town and beaches. Very well equipped for your stay. Aspect Holidays were very quick to resolve an issue with the shower do cannot fault their service. Travel light as there is no parking but great availability at the rugby club which you can book for the week.

The location of Harbour View Cottage is brilliant. It's great for the beaches, harbour and shops. It does sleep four at a push but, to be honest, it's more suitable for two. Good TV.

Had an amazing week at Harbour View Cottage. The location is brilliant everything is in walking distance. The cottage had everything in it you would need. Loved our stay here would book again

lovely warm clean cottage in a perfect location and great service from Aspect Holidays, but we found the noise from the kitchen floor and paper thin walls both sides was too much to enjoy a nice quiet holiday that we had looked forward to .

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We were sorry to hear this, especially as these are not things that we were previously aware of causing any concern for guests. Being in an older cottage, it is more common to come across a few squeaky floorboards, but we will pass on the feedback to the property owners, in case there is anything that can be done to improve that. Hopefully the noise that you mentioned from neighbours was just a bit of a one-off, with many properties around there being holiday lets and having different people in each week, however, again, this is always something that can be a risk with any attached, terraced cottage or any apartment. If you are used to either more modern homes or detached properties, this can be something that you may notice more. We hope that you still enjoyed your time there despite this. Lovely cottage, very clean, well furnished and equipped. Very convenient location and lovely harbour view from top floor bedroom. As always excellent service from Aspects staff and would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location and beautiful decor.

Harbour View Cottage is ideal for a break in St Ives. It's a stone's throw from both beautiful Porthmeor Beach, the harbour and the top shops of Fore Street. Also there's a dozen restaurants and bars just minutes away. Some facilities in the cottage aren't perfect (for example lack of a dishwasher) but the location outweighs the few disadvantages. TV is very good.

Harbour View Cottage is in a great location and it is very welcoming, clean and well equipped. The beds are so comfortable too. We had a lovely holiday and would highly recommend. St Ives is such a beautiful place once you are there you dont want to go anywhere else. Will be back again!!

Fantastic location with a beautiful view from the top floor across the harbour. Well equipped and clean. Great stay!

We have a lovely stay in this cottage, it was clean, tidy and well equipped. The beds were super comfy and we slept very well.

This is a lovely cottage in a superb location. Ideal for a couple or young family. Very close to both the harbour and Porthmeor beach.

The staff at Aspects were lovely - so helpful and nice and I loved that they checked in with us the next day so see if everything was ok and when we mentioned a small maintenance issue it was fixed straight away - that was brilliant service! The cottage was in a perfect position, 10 seconds from the wonderful bakery which was not good for our waistlines(!) and just one min to the beach the other way, in fact the beach was so close we could return to the cottage for the loo, snacks etc if we wanted to without taking all our beach stuff back. The cottage was clean and the bedrooms were really nice, it was very quiet at night, bed was comfy and the bathroom had a lovely large shower with plenty of hot water. It also had a wind break and chairs which was nice and buckets and spades and a body board -we didn't try the body board but we did build sandcastles.... We parked at Island car park which was no more than a 5 or 6 min walk away which was fine. We would def come back to this lovely little find in St Ives and def use Aspects again. Thank you for having us.

Parking is an absolute nightmare. Ensure your holiday home comes with a reserved parking space.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Parking is unfortunately at a premium in St Ives with many of the properties that are in the best central locations not having this facility. For those without parking, it is always worth looking into options beforehand on the local council website and private parking availability, particularly for peak weeks. There is also a park and ride facility which some find useful. Please feel free to contact the team for any advice. Thanks for your comments, and we hope to see you back here soon. Super cottage in an ideal location. Well laid out and surprisingly spacious.

We enjoyed Harbour View Cottage, its very well situated with St Ives town and harbour a stones throw away. Porthmeor Beach just a minute or two walk up the road. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable.

Perfect location for exploring St Ives. The high street literally seconds away. We found a lovely local Deli, Norway Stores, open early on Sunday to buy fresh pastries. The cottage was very comfy and the beds were wonderful- slept well every night. We didn’t cook in but there were very good facilities if you wanted to. Shower was huge and powerful.

Another fantastic stay in St Ives, I only use Aspects now as their service is second to none. Nothing but helpful and the girls who work in the offices are lovely. Thanks you once again! See you in Feb!

Really lovely cottage, excellent location. Well equipped.

Perfect cottage in the centre of St Ives , loved our stay here and would definitely use again. Well equipped and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Just a 2 min walk to our favourite restaurants and pubs and the beaches but still found it to be very quiet place to stay. Highly recommended.

Harbour View Cottage is in a wonderful location yet was very quiet in the evenings. The equipment and furnishings are of a high standard and the beds were super comfy. Will definitely return.

Fantastic location, yards from the harbour in one direction then to Porthmeor beach in the other. Cottage is small downstairs but perfectly adequate, plenty of space upstairs. Cottage has beach chairs, windbreaks and body boards, we didn't need these during storm Dennis! Even though this cottage is located directly in the centre it was surprisingly quiet. We would have no hesitation in returning.

The harbour view cottage was very central and perfectly located.

A super property ideally located close to the centre....we enjoyed a lovely week here.

Amazing location, clean and well equipped. Lots of nice touches like the use of beach equipment available for guests and dvd collection. Beautifully decorated throughout, close to everything and reasonably quiet.

Fantastic cottage in an ideal location. One minute walk to Porthmeor or the harbour front. More than enough room for 4 adults. Everything was clean and washer/dryer handy. And the windbreaks useful. Would happily stay again.

Fantastic cottage, so well equipped. Very well looked after and a pleasure to stay. Brilliant location So pleased and will book again

The location is what Harbour View Cottage has really got going for it - a couple of minutes in one direction is the harbour and main shopping street while a couple of minutes in the other is the magnificent Porthmeor beach. The smart TV proved too smart for us but this was quickly sorted by the housekeeper. Overall a homely base for a relaxing holiday.

Second year we have stayed here, it is an ideal location for town centre and Porthmeor beach. Everywhere is within easy walking distance. The cottage is nicely presented and comfortable. Well equipped with little extras like body boards, wind breaks and beach games as well as board games for the house. Ample kitchen equipment if cooking, but restaurants so good in St Ives we tend to eat out.

Absolutely fantastic stay in harbour view cottage. This is the second time we have stayed on this property. It was made even better by the fact the windows and blinds had been replaced on the top floor to make our stay even more comfortable. It’s fabulous that in this cottage there are chairs and windbreaks to take on the beach. Also the body boards and games for the beach come in handy. Everything you need for St Ives is provided on this cottage! We would have come back next year but we have another person coming with us so I’m afraid we have had to get a cottage with another bedroom which is a shame as the location is great. It’s situated in the perfect spot but it’s still nice and quiet at night!

We loved our week at Harbour View. The cottage was comfortable, very cosy and really well equipped. It was fabulously located for all that St Ives has to offer. We will definitely revisit.

Lovely house and location we would stay again

Harbour View cottage is exactly as described and what is required for a perfect holiday : excellent location, central but not noisy, very well equipped with all modern facilities, spotlessly clean, light, airy and comfortable. Definately winner for best in class !

This was our second year at Harbour View and we will definitely be returning. It is so well appointed in a very quiet street and has everything that makes a holiday special. Careful thought has been given to the provision of music, games and water sports. Aspects area great company, all the staff are very friendly and professional.

Very thoughtfully kitted out, even had body boards & an IT tablet. Contender for best in class. Very good & quiet location yet seconds away from the bustle of Fore street & 1.5 minutes walk from standing on the sands of porthmeor beach at a steady walking pace. Equidistant from the Island & Barnoon car parks. What’s not to like? Hope to see you next year!

Absolutely fantastic cottage which is situated right in the heart of the bustling busy st Ives town. Even though we were in the heart of St Ives it was so quiet at night. The cottage was well equipped with everything you needed for a fantastic stay, especially loved all the things needed for the beach which included body boards and beach games. Would definitely recommend this cottage. We have already booked again for next year!!

The cottage is ideally situated in a very quiet cobbled street. We have stayed in several St Ives properties over the years, some of which were very noisy at night. Harbour View is perfect, we had a very restful, enjoyable holiday there and didn't want to come home!

Comfortable well equipped cottage, excellently positioned for beaches, shops and restaurants.

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location!
