Amazing stay at Ebb Tide. Cozy, traditional feels, parking space amazing as if you know St Ives then you realise how precious this is. Location is fabulous! The Cornish bakery is less than 20 steps one way, Porthmeor Beach is about 30 steps in the other direction. Lovely and quite even though you’re right in town. The cottage is located in The Digey which is one of the oldest streets and transports you back in time. Being able to park outside to load and unload is brilliant. It has everything you need for a wonderful stay. The beds are so comfy and slept well every night as it was so quiet. The shower is also amazing. Would definitely stay there again. We come to St Ives each year and has been one of the best cottages we’ve stayed in, just lovely. Lisa Jennings Lancashire

Would highly recommend Aspects Holidays as they are very local (2 min walk from the property we stayed in). We had a couple of issues (internet went down and minor leak under sink) which were resolved very quickly. The property itself was lovely, living area was spacious. The stairs to the first floor are steep and narrow.

Booked with Aspects a while ago and regular updates was made by them on the booking. Very good and clear instructions received prior to occupancy. Ideally located in centre of town with all shops and restaurants within a short walk. Accommodation is on three floors with narrow twisty stairs but didn’t phase us at all.

Ebb Tide, fantastic location and with the parking just around the back and up the hill, that’s a bonus. I would describe Ebb Tide as Shabby Chic. Would I stay there again, yes I think so and would I use Aspects again, definitely without a doubt……

Ebb Tide - great location close to Porthmeor beach and to town centre, cosy quaint cottage but steep tightly bending staircases x2 , first flight are awkward. Sofas uncomfortable . Would stay again for the location . Aspects provided a great service as usual .

We are glad you enjoyed the fantastic location of Ebb Tide. Being a traditional Cornish fisherman's cottage, they tend to have more quirky layouts, steeper, narrower stairs, and often lower ceiling heights than many of us are used to, but it is all part of their charm, and something that many people love. We have tried to show the stairs as best as we can in the photos and included a note on the website, and following your feedback, we have also sent this on to the owners, for their consideration regarding a new sofa. Sofas can be very subjective, but when you are using facilities like this fully, in a way that we don't in the limited time that we spend in properties, thoughts from guests on things like this, is always really helpful. Ebb tide comes with an amazing location. A few steps away from Fore Street and again from the beach as you turn left. You can walk in your wet suit to the beach. It has a parking space which is a massive bonus in St Ives. The period features make for a characterful cottage. The bedrooms are comfortable and main bathroom is updated. The stairs are extremely steep though and need carpeting. My dog refused to use them after he fell down them. Small children and people with mobility issues couldn’t use them with ease. The kitchen has a very low beam so be careful with your heads ! The sofas are a bit hard. Overall a convenient cottage.

Thanks for your review. As with many of the characterful, traditional Cornish cottages; stairs and layouts in these kinds of properties are often steeper and narrower than what we are used to in more modern buildings, so may not suit all party members. But for those who can manage these, we hope you will agree is worth it for the lovely character, charm, and amazing location. We try to warn of the steepness of the steps, so that guests can make an informed choice on their suitability, but please do not hesitate to contact us to check on the suitability of any property before booking. Ebb Tide Is Situated In A Great Location Close Beaches, Shops & Restaurants! Added Bonus Also That The Parking Space Provided With The Property Is Ideal Situated At Bar-noon Carpark. Stairs Slightly Steep From The Kitchen Up To The Living Area If Your Brining Your Grandparents Bear This In Mind!! :)

Thanks

Lovely cottage which was perfect for family of 3 adults and 2 children. Great location right in the heart of town. Have stayed here twice now and would recommend to anyone and happily stay again - which I’m sure we will!

Excellent location. Parking a real bonus. Property has everything you need and comfortably accommodates six people. Outside space great for windbreaks and beach gear. Great weeks holiday.

The location is perfect for exploring the shops, harbour and beaches - all are at most a couple of minutes walk away. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, and the first floor is a lovely airy, light space to sit in. The upstairs bath/shower and supply of hot water was excellent, although the downstairs ensuite was a bit cramped (not a problem for us as there were only three of us). We had some rain, but the central heating worked and was easy to use. The decor is very sympathetic to the original features, which I liked, but that does mean the stairs are steep and tight (you need to be steady on your feet). The car parking space was an added benefit, as plans to arrive by train were cancelled by the strikes, and we had to bring our car at the last minute.

Apart from the location and crockery/equipment at Ebb Tide I was very disappointed

Great location and handy having a car space. The beds were so comfortable. Loved it the dog did too.

Great accommodation for 6 people, prime location. Aspects fabulous company to book through

Great property in a great location, couldn't be more convenient - 1 min to the beach and 1 min to the harbour! Having reserved parking is also a great plus.

A cottage in a great location right in the heart of St Ives A quiet lane with mainly only pedestrians very few vehicles King size bed super comfy and twin beds Double bedroom really a little tight on space and really en-suite is available but not really fit for purpose due to space and lack of privacy Top floor great with excellent shower over bath House warm and cosy Would stay again but not really fit for ageing parents due to steep stairs which were described but perhaps more precarious than described

Lovely fisherman’s cottage in great location.Accommodation over three floors accessed by quite steep, narrow stairs so may not be suitable for all. Comfortable, well equipped cottage. We enjoyed our stay.

Quaint cottage in an excellent location. Minutes from the beach and seconds from the high street. Although full of character it's very much in need of TLC. Property needs updating and repairing. After staying in many Aspects properties unfortunately this one for us didn't meet their usual high standards.

Just returned from a great stay at Ebb Tide plus we were very lucky with the weather! The property is of good size (we were 5 adults) and in a perfect location. This is the second time we’ve booked with Aspect and once again they provided a great and helpful service. We love St Ives and it’s beaches, whilst busy you’re still able to find a place away from the crowds, we hope to return again soon. James & Ruth Pritchard

We had a lovely stay at Ebb Tide. This property is in a lovely location, in the hustle and bustle of St Ives, with a lovely vibe and atmosphere. We had everything that we needed in the property and the added parking space was great.

We always book with Aspects when going to St Ives and have never had any problems with any of the properties we have stayed in. This time Ebb Tide, excellent location, well equipped with comfortable beds and immaculate linen and towels, wouldn’t hesitate to book again. ( we were a family of three and a small dog) but plenty of room for a few more people. We ate at some excellent restaurants Porthminster Beach Cafe, Porthmeor Beach cafe and Porthwidden Beach cafe all excellent with great Vegan choices also ate at The Hub and local fish and chips. Miss Beautiful St Ives already and cannot wait to return. Look out for the friendly seal that we saw every day!

Great stay at Ebb Tide. In a fantastic location which I believe it the best selling point. The cottage has good sized rooms. Bedrooms are clean comfortable. kitchen well equipped with a washing machine and wet clothes hanging space. Great to have a car parking permit for the carpark. A real plus. Stairs are steep to both floors. Personally I feel unsuitable to People who are unsteady on their feet and young children (Toddler age). Unable to use en-suite shower. All to tall to fit under. On the whole we loved our stay, Ebb Tide Is in a great location. We would happily book again.

Thank you very much for your review. We were so happy to see that you had a great stay at Ebb Tide and that you enjoyed the amazing location of the property, it is such a great hub for exploring all St Ives has to offer. Parking in St Ives really is a premium, so we were pleased to see that you found the carparking permit and space to be useful. These traditional cottages are packed full of character and charm but with that, you do often have some quirky layouts, lower ceiling heights and steeper, narrower stairs than in more modern properties. We try to make this as clear as we can within the description, so we do hope you found this to be accurately represented. We hope that the height of the en suite shower wasn't too much of an inconvenience for you during your stay, with the use of the additional shower in the main bathroom. Thanks again for your comments, we look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Ben, Customer Services

Wonderful place to stay with three double bedrooms. Good size kitchen with a good range of utensils. Stayed during new year and the position was amazing by only being a few steps from fire street and the harbour.

Perfect simply perfect, bonus as the beach and the high street is less than a minute walkies.

Property well equipped and comfortable but the stairs between the 1st floor lounge and the kitchen on the ground are very steep. Very conveniently situated for access to shops and harbour.

Perfect location in September, right in the middle of everything. Ebb Tide was wonderfully fitted out with excellent quality kitchen goods. We loved our week here!

We really enjoyed our stay at Ebb Tide. Its in a perfect location in the centre of St Ives, very short walk to lovely beaches, shops and restaurants. The cottage is charming and comfortable, and had everything we needed.

A delightful and well furnished cottage, well placed for all beaches and amenities. Our party of 5 adults stayed there comfortably for a week Airy, light and picturesque (watch out for a low beam in the kitchen though!) a great cottage to experience St Ives on.

Ebb Tide is in a great location for the town. Shame I can't say the about the parking space, which may well have been located in the next county!

Unfortunately the space that came with this property when you had stayed here previously, was made unavailable due to changes by the council, so we were very sorry to have to contact you and inform you of the changed location. Parking is in such high demand in St Ives that many properties do not have this facility at all, but the owners were really keen to still be able to offer something that gave guests a guaranteed space and secured a space that is approx. 5 minutes' walk from Ebb Tide, though we appreciate that the hills can make this feel like a very long 5 minutes at times! We hope that having that guaranteed space proved useful still. Tanya, Customer Services

This cottage is very dated, access from floor to floor not brilliant for older guests, very dated in décor and facilities you get what you pay for.

We are sorry to hear that this property did not meet all of your expectations when comparing it to other properties that you have stayed in. Traditional fishermans Cottages in the heart of St Ives are packed full of character inside and out, but often a little smaller and have layouts/stairs more quirky and steeper than in more modern buildings, so it is definitely an important consideration when booking a property like this. We have since been in contact to discuss your comments further. Thank you very much for letting us know your thoughts, so that we could discuss them with the property owner; and we are glad to hear that you still had a great time here and liked all of the facilities in the kitchen. Tanya, Customer Services.

A lovely pet-friendly property that has been beautifully renovated and is ideally situated for visitors who want to be less than a minute's walk from the shops and beaches. Ebb Tide is comfortable, practical and has plenty of appliances/amenities... our new favourite!

Enjoyed a chilled November break at Ebb Tide, cottage has a relaxed feel & decorated to a high standard. Location is great, quiet, but just 2 minutes walk to Fore Street and beaches. My 3 year old girl appreciated to cupboard full of beach equipment. The car park pass is a great benefit, no worrying about getting a parking space, we hardly ventured anywhere as St.Ives has so much to offer & we cold just pop back to the cottage so easily.

Perfect location for exploring St Ives.

Perfect location and very comfortable accommodation. Highly recommended.

Ebbtide is a beautiful traditional Cornish cottage. The location on the Digey is just perfect, we were in the heart of St Ives just far enough away from the madness of forestreet. Our three children adored the cottage as much as us, we will definitely be back. Thanks Aspects for the most amazing holiday. We also celebrated our first anniversary there too so even more special. ?? St Ives so much x

Just back from an excellent break at ebb tide, great property, perfectly furnished with all creature comforts, exceptionally comfy beds. Would recommend to any family, although not ideal for older people or very young children as stairs were very very narrow and slippy. Will definitely be back
