We found this was a lovely place to stay good for walking into town & also good for walking around the coastal path. Only down side was with the covid 19 going on its was very hard to find any restaurants with any spare places to book.

Properties in Barnoon/Carthew are fantastic for those bringing a car to St Ives. Three quarters of our properties here come with private parking and there is opportunity to use the Barnoon car park. Apartments such as those in the Carthew Court development are located in residential areas and have superb, elevated views.
Although you are still well located between Porthmeor and the town, self catering in Barnoon/Carthew allows you a lot more room to relax, with amenities such as WiFi and luxuries like sea views. Walk down the hill in one direction and you can visit the Tate and Porthmeor beach, or head right and you'll find yourself in the centre of town.

Lovely apartment, lovely view, would definitely stay again.

Could not fault the property and view. The only negative was no reserved parking space at the car park directly opposite the property. Would have been so much easier to park there and pay extra for the apartment.

We were delighted to see that you liked the property and that you enjoyed the beautiful view overlooking Porthmeor, we think you will agree that 'Sunset View' is the perfect name for this apartment! Thank you for your feedback regarding the parking situation, with parking being such a premium in St Ives we do understand that having parking so close would be an added bonus, but unfortunately permits for spaces are so limited and in such high demand, that the waiting lists are just too long. For properties without parking, there are a few options that can help, including council rover tickets and private parking options that we would be happy to advise on if you would like to get in touch. We do hope to welcome you back again soon. Ben, Customer Services

Very good accommodation.
Bigger bed needed

We are glad to read that you liked Sunset View; it's a great little place. Thanks for your suggestion about the bed. As a standard double, we appreciate this may feel a little small if you are used to a larger size bed at home, so we will certainly pass on your feedback to the owner for their consideration, when they are at a point of looking for a replacement. Thank you again for your comments and we hope to see you back here again soon. Tanya, Customer Services
Great views, charming village and locals
Mr Mcnaughton Jul 2020
As usual we very much enjoyed using this property and the service Aspects provide, and this is why we return to it and other Aspects properties regularly and will do so again.

Sunset view has stunning views over Porthmeor, bi-fold doors enhance the view. As you’re so high it’s quite a hike up hills and steps so not suit everyone, well worth the climb up a variety of routes though- apartment is well equipped and comfortable, bedroom furniture a bit cheap & cheerful and even the bedroom has good views the other direction. Thorough enjoyed our stay and would deffo stay again. ??

There is a bit of a steep climb back up to the property at the end of the day, no matter which route you take, but what amazing views to stop and look at while you take a breather on your way back up to this lovely apartment, and stunning views from the apartment itself! We are glad that you liked it! We hope to see you back again soon. Tanya, Customer Services
We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset View. The view is amazing and the location is ideal: you're a two minute walk from amazing Porthmeor beach, and a five minute walk into town. There is no car parking but the Barnoon long stay car park is just outside. This does fill up a lot during the day (a lot of surfers come to Porthmeor, even in the middle of winter) so if you plan on going lots of places this is something worth considering. The place itself is lovely and well looked after although it could do with some 'finishing touches'.

It is great to hear that you really enjoyed your stay at Sunset View and that the location was ideal for you. When it comes to parking, there are a few alternatives such as St Ives secure parking and the Rugby Club if you ever find yourself unable to get a space close to the property, and a shuttle bus is in place to drop guests back into town. Please do get in touch if you would like any advice. We will be inspecting the property soon and will have a look into your suggestion of additional finishing touches, and pass on any recommendations to the property owners. Thanks for your helpful comments and we hope that we will be seeing you again soon. Lucy, Customer Services
Had a great week in sunset view st ives, a lovely apartment with high quality fixtures and fittings. A fantastic view from the floor to ceiling window! Would definitely revisit.
Mrs Morgan Nov 2019
Just returned from a long weekend staying at Sunset View and what an amazing second floor apartment this is. Amazing views across Porthmeor Beach with a balcony to soak up the rays or from behind the huge patio windows if the weather isn't too great. Fab location with just a 10 minute walk into the heart of St Ives. While it doesn't offer parking (not many places in St Ives do) the apartment is very close to a public car park making it easy and convenient. If you book this apartment you won't be disappointed!!!
Mrs Tork Sep 2019
sunset view is a spectacular location, ideally placed between beach & town so long as you don't mind walking uphill. ideal location for a self contained break for singletons/couples. all is as decribed & all utilities work perfectly, not always the case with holiday rentals.
Mr Hawes Sep 2019
The actual apartment is beautiful, with stunning views and fantastic location. But overall value for money is very much lacking. (For example, no toilet roll or hair-dryer provided). Please also be aware, parking is nearly non-existent in St Ives, so you might want to re-consider driving to this property.

We are so sorry to hear that you felt that you did not get value for money at this property. We try to ensure that properties are priced accordingly, taking into account many factors. And whilst this apartment does not have the benefit of parking, something that is high demand here in St Ives; you get the benefit of those beautiful views and a good amount of space for a 1 bedroom apartment. We do take comments very seriously though, and will closely monitor further feedback on this. We are always happy to help advise on options for parking, such as the private facilities, park and ride options, and of course, if you would prefer to arrive by public transport, we can offer advice on this also. You should have had a toilet roll provided, to get you started, so we are very sorry if that had been missed, and whilst not all properties provide a hairdryer, it is often worth contacting us in case we have a spare that we could have lent to you for the week. We are glad that you enjoyed those views and fantastic location; thank you for sending in your feedback. Tanya, Customer Services
