Third time we have booked hope to book again

Great place to stay at.

We’ve stayed here twice now and really enjoy the quiet location of the flat. Can’t wait to return again soon.

The property is at the top of the town so not suitable for those not so fit.

We stayed here in June/July last year. The property is immaculately clean, although a little dated. The serious concern is the dehumidifier in the hallway, which runs for 12+ hours a day with instructions not to turn it off. I am asthmatic and within 24 hours became very ill, having to attend Penzance hospital to receive steroid tablets and antibiotics on top of my inhalers. We turned the dehumidifier off but within 24 hours, clothes in the wardrobe developed mildew. We then resorted to turning the dehumidifier off when we were in the apartment and on when we were out. This was reported to Aspects at the time, but there is no mention this year in the booking info. Anybody with a respiratory condition needs to aware of this information before booking.

We were sorry to hear that you became unwell while you were here in the summer, and very much hope you recovered quickly. Here in Cornwall, we experience warmer, more humid conditions, and the combination of this, the building materials commonly used here, and being so close to the sea, can make some properties susceptible to damp. We understand that some people are affected more than others and so include information within the 'your holiday' section on our website and will always add a specific note on a property on the website where we have had this reported a few times. Many owners provide a dehumidifier as a preventative measure rather than a signpost the property has a damp problem, and these generally work well at preventing an issue from arising if they are used as instructed. Having recently inspected the property and looked at all feedback from the past couple of years, and following your stay, there have been no other reports of damp, or damp smells. This is not to dismiss your experience of it, as this is something that can vary from week to week; but with just this one report, we would not usually add a note about the dehumidifier, or a specific note regarding the risk of damp at this property. Please rest assured that we will continue to monitor feedback and if this is something that is highlighted again, we will reassess this. Katy, Customer Services

Stayed here last week for 7 days. What a beautiful place, location was perfect. House is quite small with one bedroom and a sofa bed, but we got used to it 2adults 10yr old and 7yr old. Everything you need is there, nice touch with the tea, coffee and milk thank you. Very steep hill to the beach or town 10min walk away. Try to arrange your day so you don’t have to keep going back to the house. St Ives beach’s and town is beautiful! We were lucky to have such lovely weather. Have already recommended this place to friends. 9/10

We enjoyed our New Year stay at 24 Carthew Court. The property is very spacious for a couple but might be a little snug for anymore. Christine had done a marvellous job of cleaning and preparing the apartment for our arrival. We wouldn’t hesitate in returning to 24 Carthew Court.

Brilliant! Would definitely recommend

24 Carthew is a lovely spacious apartment with the added bonus of a garage parking space (spacious in comparison to most available parking spaces in St. Ives). The apartment is well equipped and we had everything we needed for a weeks stay in terms of cleaning products, toilet paper etc. Clean bedding & towels provided. On arrival the apartment was clean & tidy.

The apartment is up a very steep hill so bear this in mind for access throughout the day. We had a beach trolley & took all we needed down to the beach each day to avoid having to return before the end of the day.

We had a lovely stay at your property last week. It was extremely clean, cosy and well decorated apartment. I would highly recommend to others and I would happily stay again! Thank you for making our holiday a great experience!

A lovely quiet area of St Ives, a 5-10 minute stroll to the beach and town. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our weeks stay as a little family. An outdoor table and chairs would be a good addition - we are going to book again next year.

Accommodation adequate, location excellent, close walk to the beach

Excellent property and base. Very happy to keep rebooking.!!

24 Carthew Court is a compact appartment which is well equiped and has the added bonus of 2 smart TVs. and fairly decent WiFi. Above the town in a peaceful area of similar appartments. If on foot, the approach hills maybe a little steep for some of the less fit walkers. Fields adjoining and good access to coastpath. The appartment comes with it's own garage in a block a couple of hundred metres or so away. Good size unless it's a wider vehicle like a SUV. Manged to squeeze in an MX5 at 1735mm. The apartment was spotless on arrival. Overall a bit of a bargain!

The accommodation was very clean, spacious and comfortable. It was in a lovely quiet location and we really enjoyed our stay.

Poor property, shabby and uncomfortable, not worth the money paid for it. Wouldn't book it again.

Thank you for your review. We are very sorry to read this and from further enquiries, we understand that the main issue was with the patio doors, which had unfortunately broken, and trades had been unable to get a replacement part. We completely understand that this would have been an inconvenience and disappointing, given that it was the main access to the outside area. An appropriate refund from the owner had been organised as a result, though we appreciate that this will still not take away the disappointment of not having this facility. The owner has since had these attended too and they are back in full working order. We are sorry again, that you had experienced this issue and we hope that you still enjoyed your time here in St Ives despite this. Ben, Customer Services

Great location, great views. It is indeed a killer hill but we managed and it was good to be slightly out of the hustle and bustle. Everything you could need was provided. Lovely week away!

We had a lovely stay at 24 Carthew court. It was very clean and was in a great location meaning everything was in walking distance. We appreciated all the little touches such as a pint of milk in the fridge so we could make a cup of tea when we got there after our long journey.

15 mins to get to nearby beach but a steep walk back to accommodation, but very scenic.

A wonderful stay. Will likely use this house again!

Lovely location

Very impressed with the service from Aspects , from the ease of key collection to the little touches in the apartment.Would highly recommend.

Very light and airy property in a quiet location, within easy walk to St Ives town and beaches.

Nice apartment in quiet area, well fitted with everything you nneed. Very steep hill to beach
