This is a superb apartment, it has everything and I mean everything we needed for our stay. It’s a real home from home. We even came away with a shopping list of things we need to buy for our house! Location is great, not in the town so avoiding any noise, but close enough to walk into the shops and to both beaches. the car is parked safely outside so no looking for spaces when you arrive. Our dog loved the beach and the walks around town, and along the cliffs to sandy mouth and wide mouth bays. Bude and the surrounding area has lots of dog friendly shops and cafes, we were even invited in! We are planning to go back as this was a great week - remember to try out the surf school for some fun, and that you do not need to bring the kitchen sink with you as its all there. Thanks

Beaches in Bude

Crooklets Beach

At low tide, a large expanse of golden sand is exposed, along with rocky outcrops which are great for rock pooling. The beach can be reached by a short walk over Summerleaze Down or down the hill from the town centre. Crooklets is very popular with surfers, but also perfect for families, with great facilities including a large car park, beach café, skate park, showers, and pubs close by.

Summerleaze Beach

Home of the famous Bude Sea Pool, and only a five minute walk from the centre of Bude, this is a firm favourite among locals and visitors. It’s also great for surfing!

Things to do in Bude

Bude Castle

A castle built on sand! Built around 1830, the castle was formally the home of Victorian inventor Sir Goldsworthy Gurney. It is now a heritage centre with exhibitions about Bude and Sir Goldsworthy Gurney.

Bude Bike Hire

Explore the surroundings of Bude on two wheels. A good selection of bikes are available for hire which suit all ages and most abilities.

Bude Sea Pool

Opened in 1930, this partially man-made tidal swimming pool in the rocks of Summerleaze Beach provides a lovely, safe place to swim when the sea is rough, or when it’s calm! The pool is open all year round, but of course depends on the state of the tide! www.budeseapool.org

Red Elk Archery

Lots of fun with the kids!
