Beautiful cottage in a terrific location. Enjoy!
Mr Holmes Jul 2023
Compact and comfortable cottage in a great location. The views from the upstairs room are great and that is a stunning room with loads of space and double aspect looking out onto two different beaches. It very close to everything but set back so it was incredibly quiet when we were there. The design and decor is lovely and the sofas are really comfortable making the living room really relaxing.
Mrs Huntsman Jan 2023
Mea cottage was the most beautiful calm peaceful little house. So pretty so welcoming and basically just really good for the soul.
Miss Carmichael Dec 2022
We had the most wonderful stay at Mea Cottage. We holiday to St Ives several times a year & Aspects were so helpful with choosing our accommodation, it was a special holiday as my Birthday & Aspects really made it special for us. Such a beautiful place to stay, the owners really thought of everything, even the dvd choice & all the lovely homely treats & beautiful decor, such lovely attention to detail, I particularly like the shell collections. We had a tiny issue that was no ones fault & Aspects went above & beyond to rectify immediately. The location was incredible, the views from top bedroom are fabulous, the photos don't do it justice, really can't fault this gorgeous place, the parking isn't right outside but closer than we thought, was really easy to quickly unload from Godrevy Terrace
Miss Hicks Nov 2022
Another lovely holiday in St Ives, can't fault the place. Lovely cosy home and great location for everything you need. We'll be back again next year!
Mr Christie Sep 2022
Recently stayed at Mea Cottage and would recommend this as a must stay in St Ives. Beautiful location, beautiful property. We go to St Ives annually as a family and we would stay at Mea Cottage again.
Mr Sealy Aug 2022
A beautifully furnished cottage in an excellent location so close to the beaches and town, but very quiet. The views from the top bedroom were amazing. We’ll be back.
Mrs Reynolds Aug 2022
Lovely quaint little cottage in a great location
Mrs Rush Jun 2022
We stayed at Mea Cottage for a few nights for my wife's birthday and have to say that the place was immaculately clean with a lovely gift and card from the owner. We have stayed at this property several times in the past and therefore knew that it was in a prime location and was well equipped to suit our needs. Once again, we had a fantastic stay at this property and would recommend this without reservation.
Mr Hoyle Jan 2022
Best of the cottages we have stayed in in St Ives. Has the character of a fisherman’s cottage but is still an easy, liveable space. Feels loved and well set out, very well located, would return.
Ms Offer Jan 2022
We have booked many cottages with Aspects and have stayed at Mea Cottage on 4 previous occasions. We arrived 1 day late, on 21st December and advised Aspects of the same. On arrival, we noted that the previous occupants' dirty linen was in 3 large bags in the living area. The "welcome pack" from the owner of property consisted of 4 tea bags, some sugar packets, a black bag and a sponge. Also, there was some out of date milk in the fridge. The milk was dated 18th December and was therefore out of date prior to our original date of arrival. I have to say that the standards of Aspects have really taken a nosedive since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic and now, almost 2 years into the same, it would seem more of an excuse for bad service than an acceptable slip. I have booked another cottage with Aspects for September 2022 but am seriously considering a cancellation due to the service received on this, and my previous 2 occasions.

We were so sorry to hear this and would like to assure you that this is not what you should expect at any time, pandemic or no pandemic. We have since spoken on the phone and I hope that after everything that we have discussed you know how genuinely disappointed ourselves and the property owner are to hear this. The housekeeping company are a third-party cleaning company who are contracted to the owners, as opposed to being Aspects employees, but please rest assured that we are following this up with them and taking your comments very seriously, as both the owners and we would hate for this to be a continuing pattern that anybody experiences. Thank you so much for letting us know and we will look forward to seeing you back here in September and hopefully back at Mea Cottage in the future, where we are certain that you will find everything to the high standards that you would expect. Lovely compact cottage with modern decoration. Well appointed, everything we needed for our stay. Very close to the shops and beaches. We had a great holiday and I would highly recommend Mea Cottage.
Mrs Dennison Oct 2021
Delightful stay at Mea Cottage, beautiful interior and stunning views from the top bedroom. Excellent location for the town and beaches. Great to have a parking space included also, even though a few mins walk away, makes a huge difference! Thank you for a wonderful week.
Mrs Burridge Jun 2021
We had a really comfortable time at Mea Cottage, great to be so close to Harbour & Porthmeor Beach. Would definitely stay there again
Mr Oxley Oct 2020
Lovely, comfortable cottage in a central location which is handy for everything in St Ives. It's generally well equipped for self catering, good quality kitchen knives too! We would definitely consider staying here again. The only downside we found is you may need to take some recycling bags, as there's no extra ones supplied. There are no spare bulbs for the lamps if they fail either (we had 3 go in the fortnight!). Just so you are aware, you are expected to purchase the bulbs and they will reimburse you at some point if this happens.

It is great to hear that you enjoyed Mea Cottage, so much so, that you would consider staying again! You should have had adequate bags left for your stay and spare bulbs, so we are really sorry that this was not the case. Ordinarily, if there had been a shortage of bulbs in a property, you would not have been asked to replace them yourselves, but unfortunately, in the current climate, we have had to minimise contact between staff, guests, trades and housekeepers, so we are sorry that we have not been able to offer our normal level of service as a result and we hope that this wasn't too much of an inconvenience. Thanks for getting in touch and we hope to see you back soon. Lucy, Customer Services
Lovely relaxing stay at Mea cottage. Location to the beaches and harbour was second to none.
Mrs Bell Aug 2020
Gorgeous place! I would defiantly recommend it. The views are stunning from the upper floor, and it was very comfortable for a family of 4. Perfect location as well!
Mrs Gasparini Jan 2020
We had a lovely stay in Mea cottage, great location - only 1 minutes to Fore Street but still very quiet and 5 minutes to the beach. The cottage was very cosy, beautifully decorated, with comfy beds, well equipped and felt like home from home.
Mr Hawkins Nov 2019
mea cottage Is well appointed equipment wise and comfortable, as 3 adults we had plenty of space, however larger groups of just adults may find it cramped. Location is great very short walking distance to harbour, restaurants, beaches, Tate etc, and views from attic room lovely. Access to cottage is down a steep cobbled street with steps and parking is a good 10 minutes away so bear that in mind!
Ms Pritchard Sep 2019
Lovely sea views from loft bedroom. Great location. Small property for a party of 6 and inconvenient having to access the loft bedroom via the twin room.

We are sorry to hear that the size and layout didn't quite work for you. It may not suit everyone, but many enjoy returning year after year to these quirky and characterful fisherman's cottages, that boast such an amazing location, right in the heart this lovely town. You are literally a short stroll from all the unique shops, restaurants, cafes, galleries and beaches. These fisherman's cottages do not offer loads of open space, but there are enough beds here to sleep 6, and enough dining and living room seating as well. We try to show and describe everything as clearly as we can on the website so that customers will have a good idea of what to expect but we will monitor for any further feedback in case we need to make anything clearer. We hope that despite the layout and size not quite working for you, you still enjoyed the charm of this cottage and the thoughtful touches provided by the owners and enjoyed exploring all the amazing sights around here. Iv been coming to stives now for over 24 years.. I would highly recommend aspects property’s .. I wouldn’t go with any other holiday agents as iv found these are the best.. my family have tried different agents in the past & had some bad experiences..aspects have been brilliant ??
Mrs Harrison Jul 2019
Wonderful relaxing time. Nice to be so close to all St. Ives has to offer. Excellent well equipped cottage.
Mr Ogden Apr 2019
I can highly recommend this well located and beautifully decorated and equipped cottage. Although small, space is well used with layout thoughtfully designed to optimise functionality and comfort including 3 very comfortable sofas and a spacious wet room. Double aspect top floor bedroom with views over 2 beaches quite exceptional and made up for fact that bathroom servicing this bedroom was located on ground floor.
Ms MacCallum Feb 2019
Fantastic location, nicely decorated cottage but very dark and would be too cramped for six adults.

Thank you for your comments and it is great to hear how much you liked it at Mea Cottage. A large number of properties within the heart of St Ives are traditional fishermans cottages. They are packed full of character inside and out, but often a little smaller and layouts more quirky than in more modern buildings. We always try to be as open and honest as possible, so whilst it can accommodate 6, with 2 double bedrooms and a twin bedroom, and there is seating for 6 in the dining and sitting area, we try to give an accurate representation of the size and layout of all properties within our photos and descriptions, so hope that we have achieved that in this case, but we will continue to monitor feedback. We hope that it suited all members of your party, and hope that you enjoyed everything that St Ives had to offer. Tanya, Customer Services

Amazing views and great location, very tastefully decorated, comfortable cottage.
Mrs Bird Sep 2017
Spotlessly clean and a great location for all St Ives has to offer as right in the heart of the town. Access to the cottage is a little steep so maybe not the best for people who have difficulty walking
