Old Court Cottage has been lovingly refurbished with a homely cottage feel, full of books and local artwork. The cottage is central to both the North and South Coasts, ideal for exploring the numerous beaches and coves during the warmer months. When the Cornish weather isn't being so kind, you can return to the property after a bracing walk and curl up infront of the woodburner, with a hot chocolate or favourite tipple. The character, country, kitchen is a cosy hub for those who like to create their own feasts, but if you don't fancy cooking, then Lelant has well renowned restaurants and public houses, offering good food and entertainment on your doorstep, including The Old Forge, Birdies Bistro, The Badger Pub, and The Watermill, all less than a 10-minute walk away. Sleeping six over two floors, the mezzanine makes the ideal hideout for teenagers, with two further bedrooms for the rest of the family. The cottage boasts a large mature garden, with three separate areas to sit, relax, and soak up the Cornish sun, before, or after, a day of exploring the coastline.

Lelant is the perfect location for those who love both St Ives and Carbis Bay, and with parking right outside your door Hayle is only a short drive away, with its miles of sandy beaches, eateries, and supermarket. However, if you wish to leave the car behind, then the bus stop is less than a ten-minute stroll away, with regular buses running to nearby St Ives or further afield.

March 2024

Old Court Cottage was a lovely place to stay for Christmas, we all, including Freddie the dog, enjoyed our stay very much despite a couple of hiccups on the first day which were sorted by Aspects quickly and efficiently. It’s an ideal spot to stay for easy access to St Ives, many beaches and a couple of very good local pubs!

Old Court Cottage in Lelant was lovely. We chose Lelant because we were bringing our dog in August 2023 and Porth Kidney Sands was dog friendly all year round. My wife was also working so we set up her laptop etc on the small desk in the dining area. She had no issues with the WiFi and it was nice for her to down tools at the end of the day and we'd all go for a walk down to the beach and made sure we stopped off at the Badger pub on the way back. We had great weather, so sat in the pub garden. Our youngest daughter of 11 also came down and was very pleased with the cottage, garden, surrounding countryside and beaches.

The cottage itself was very nice and we were very comfortable. It was nice being out of the way as St Ives was so busy in August. We did venture in and having the train station nearby was really handy. Very cheap too.The road was always busy, but the cottage seemed to blot out most of the noise, so no issues.

Over-all, a great week and stay.

I would not stay here again, the cottage on arrival had not been cleaned properly, dirty floors, sticky surfaces, mouldy grapes in the bottom of the bin, food residue in the fridge. A pungent smell of wet dog constantly, dirty, smelly, full of dog hair blankets in the lounge area, someone else's underwear on the floor at the side of the downstairs toilet. The mop in the utility was falling apart and was full of dirt, not something you could use. Someone else's hair in the shower and the sink. The shower was mouldy. The parking was not clear, making if very difficult to park every time you left the space.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We were so sorry to hear that you arrived to these issues. It is not what we would expect for guests to arrive to. Please rest assured that your feedback was immediately passed on to that property owners' housekeeper and we will very closely monitor this. We can understand why such a first impression would be off-putting, but we are sorry to hear that this would put you off returning there. We have asked that these areas are addressed and so they should not be something that you would expect to arrive to again. Your feedback has also been passed on to the St Ives team so that they can discuss the parking with the owner, and how that could be made clearer. Thanks for the feedback and we hope that you still enjoyed this lovely area. Tanya, Customer Services

Service from Aspect Holidays was easy, efficient and quality. Cottage was certainly a home from home in which the family could properly relax in whilst highly functional. Great location as well to explore the south of Cornwall.

A lovely cottage in a great location. We loved the fact we could walk to Lelant station and get the train into St Ives, which we did on several occasions. The walk to St Ives is also beautiful. A great base to see the sites, such as St Michael's Mount and Minack Theatre, which are only a short drive away.

Well equipped and very comfortable with plenty of room and a pretty garden.

Lovely cottage in a good location. It was great for walking the dog, to the train station and the two pubs.

Lovely quaint old cottage, well equipped and clean, with pretty garden. Beware of height of mezzanine floor! Parking quite tight and unmarked. Would definitely stay here again.
