Ideally situated for the beach and coastal path. The Rail Station is next door but don't be put off as the noise is extremely limited and it allows for easy, cheap access to St.Ives.

The tradition of Tom Bawcock comes from the feast or famine lifestyle of Cornwall. The story goes that it was just before Christmas; there had been no fish for weeks, the boats couldn’t get out into the raging storm, the village was starving. One man, Tom Bawcock, dared to take his boat out of the harbour’s safety. He returned with enough fish to make fish pie for the whole village.
Today, a festival takes place each year to celebrate Tom Bawcock's bravery. During the festival, Star Gazey pies are eaten in memory of this famous event.

Thank you for your review. The views over Carbis Bay beach are incredible from 3 Carrack Gladden; we are glad you enjoyed them. We are sorry to read though, that you felt the apartment was tired and dated. Throughout our portfolio, we do our very best to offer a variety of properties that will suit everyone's needs and budgets. Along with this, we also include as many photos as we can to the website so that guests are aware of what to expect when arriving. The properties should however always be well maintained, so we do hope that everything was as you had expected from the photos provided. We will however check everything on our next inspection and pass on any suggestions that we have, including guests' feedback, to the property owners, for their consideration. Thank you for taking the time to send in your comments and we hope that we will see you back in Cornwall soon. Ben, Customer Services
Excellent position with stunning views also parking was excellent at the back of the apartment will definitely be back!
Mr Lumber Aug 2020
Lovely apartment in excellent location. Home from home comforts. Train service into St Ives so no need for car. £2 return excellent value. Lovely walks both ways.
Mrs Tootell Jan 2020
Amazing view, comfortable bed, can be noisy from apartment above, could do with upgrading in the kitchen cutlery/crockery department.

Thank you for your helpful comments. We just wanted to try and reassure you as much as possible, that the kind of noise that you experienced is not the norm. We understand that a carpet was being fitted upstairs, causing some noise for 1 day that was above what would be expected from being in an apartment. The housekeeper has also been in touch to inform us that she was chatting with the property owner about your comments on the kitchen cutlery and crockery so that any necessary replacements could be organised. Thanks again and we're glad that you otherwise enjoyed your time here. Tanya, Customer Services
A great little place to stop close to everything you need.
Mr Barnett Oct 2019
Our second visit to this apartment and have already booked again for next year. Lovely view across Carbis Bay. Well equipped and quiet.
Mr Tann Sep 2019
Beautiful location . Views over Carbis Bay spectacular. Unfortunately there were comfort issues with the property. The bed we found had little support and was lumpy. The couch in the sitting area also did not offer good support. Aspect did however help by providing 2 mattress toppers for the duration of our stay and replaced the clapped out pillows. The bathroom area was damp and the smell lingered in the hall and was only helped by opening bedroom and sitting room windows. We also had a problem with the fridge as the door seal was not good and the freeze box desperately needed defrosted.
Mr Pritchard Sep 2019

We were sorry to hear that you had not found the comfort of the sofa and mattress to your liking. These can be very dependent on personal preference and with only a couple of mentions of the mattress in previous feedback and no previous mention of the sofa being uncomfortable, the owner was not looking to replace either of those items at that time. We are glad to hear that the mattress toppers and new pillows helped, and we will continue to monitor for further feedback and discuss it with the owner again if we start to receive more comments on these areas. We will inform the owner of the issue that you had with the fridge so that this can be investigated and addressed if there is an issue with the seal. Thank you for letting us know. Lovely views, comfortable apartment. Parking can be a problem. Patio is north facing hence usually in shade. Very steep hill down to beach. No pub close to property.

We are so sorry that there was some confusion with the parking. Having been able to look fully in to your comments and the phone conversation that you had with a member of staff, it was communicated that the parking is across from the garages as opposed to park across the garages; we are so sorry if this had not come across clearly on the phone call, and in hindsight, we should have stated 'park along the wall' to make it clearer, as is stated within the printed arrival information. We just wanted to try and reassure you that parking is not ordinarily a problem here, there is only 1 permit allocated per property, and parking is monitored there. We have kept a close eye on this since then, with no further reports of a lack of parking, so we can only apologise if there had for any reason, been too many cars parking along there the week that you stayed. We do hope that you still had a great time here. Tanya, Customer Services
A lovely apartment superb views close to St Ives train very useful to travel on only £2 return and prompt service. If you do not want to be bothered by seagulls banging on the window then do not feed them.
Mr Lamb Jul 2019
Our stay at this Carbis Bay apartment has been most enjoyable. The fantastic view across Carbis Bay to St Ives, is wonderful, quite the best we've ever experienced.. The railway station is 4 minutes' walk away and the journey to St Ives takes 3 minutes and costs £1 each way!
We have no hesitation in recommending this property. HOWEVER, it must be stressed that this property is situated on VERY STEEP hill and in our opinion is quite unsuitable for elderly or disabled people. There is no 'evening stroll' without the car!
Mrs Watts Jun 2019
Reply from Aspects Holidays
We are delighted to hear how much you enjoyed this property. There is a bit of a steep downhill walk to get down to the beach and a short but uphill walk to get to the train station which can take you into St Ives, or in the opposite direction of St Erth so that you can explore areas further afield. As with many properties in St Ives and Carbis Bay, due to their hilly nature, it is worth chatting to our team before booking, to check on suitability if you have any mobility issues or just struggle with hills. We are glad that you agreed that the views more than make up for this though and we hope to see you back here soon. Tanya, Customer Services
Enjoyed it so much that we have booked again for next year
