The Garden Flat
Mevagissey

£358 - £730 per week
Book

The Garden Flat has recently been refurbished into a modern, ground-floor property that is situated in an elevated location within Mevagissey. The property is ideal for couples and has the added benefit of being all on one level. The property hosts one bedroom, sleeping a total of two guests with a king size bed. There is an open-plan living area with a kitchen, dining and sitting area completing the interior. After a day of exploring Mevagissey and surrounding areas, why not take your dining experiences outside and sit at the patio table and chairs, here you can take in the beautiful garden and views.

Just a few minutes' walk from the coastal path, Polstreath Beach and from the harbour, you are spoilt for choice. Take a walk along the beautiful coastline towards Pentewan, Gorran Haven, or further afield if you're feeling more adventurous. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery along the cliff tops, sea-gazing and seal-spotting, or walk through beautiful countryside, perhaps at the nearby Lost Gardens of Heligan. After a busy day exploring, stroll on down to the village where you can sit at one of the harbour front restaurants and enjoy local produce, or head into one of the traditional pubs.

September 2024

We had a wonderful week in the Garden Flat in Mevagissey. The sun shone and so we were able to make use of the garden area and the furniture, as well as the excellent indoor accommodation. We couldn't have been in a better location - 10 minutes walk from the centre of Mevagissey and just a few minutes away from the coastal path. We heartily recommend this holiday accommodation.

Holidays in Mevagissey

Stay in Mevagissey and you’ll be perfectly placed to explore all that the south coast of Cornwall has to offer. Take a ferry trip to Fowey, visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan or spend a day at the beach at the nearby Pentewan Sands.

Best known for its harbour and fishing boats, Mevagissey still boasts as being part of Cornwall’s thriving fishing industry. Fresh fish can even be bought from the hut on the harbour wall, located a short stroll from the village aquarium, once the lifeboat station. Wander around the harbour area, with its narrow streets, fascinating shops and galleries and recall its smuggling history, or just relax in the bars and restaurants and coves and on nearby beaches.

There is a ferry boat which runs from end of April to beginning of October from Mevagissey to Fowey three or four times a day (don’t miss the return journey!) – journey time about 35 minutes. You may be lucky and spot some playful dolphins!

Unfortunately the weather was not so good. So therefore it was so nice to go back to the garden flat. It had everything you needed. The hosts Sandra & Paul were so helpful, lovely people. The view from from the garden was wonderful , with great sun loungers and patio furniture.

We stayed in the Garden Flat for a week in September 2023. We received a warm welcome from the owners Paul and Sandra who are just lovely and showed us around, which helped us settle in quickly without having to read instruction booklets. We only had to unpack. The property is absolutely immaculate and has everything you would need, and the garden that the property overlooks is beautiful. It is located close to the coastal path and a short scenic walk into Mevagissey. It also has parking and only a few steps down to the property, which was heaven. We would definitely return and would recommend.

Perfect in Every Way. Will be a difficult call to find any other apartment, and hosts to match this one!

Lucrezia, Wiltshire.

We had a wonderful stay at the garden flat. The flat was beautifully decorated with high quality furnishings and had everything we needed. The garden was a perfect place to relax after a day out. Sandra & Paul were perfect hosts. It was lovely to have them to greet us on our arrival and show us around the flat and also be on hand for any queries we had.

Great accommodation. Spotlessly clean. Lovely garden. Great hosts. Short walk to Mevagissey harbour but down a steep hill and steps if walking. Highly Recommended.

would definitely recommend the Garden Flat as a fabulous base to explore Mevagissey, the nearby beaches and stunning coastal walks. Paul and Sandra were so welcoming and so keen to ensure that their guests have a very comfortable and enjoyable holiday. Beautiful apartment, everything is new and great quality, with a gorgeous garden to sun bathe, eat and relax in, and parking is so easy. It is a climb up from Mevagissey harbour, under 10 min, but with the most glorious sea views, so might be tricky for someone with mobility issues.

An immaculate flat, clean, well furnished and equipped, overlooking a lovely garden with views beyond. We found plenty to do in the area. Would recommend.

Beautiful flat furnished to a high standard, the bed was super comfy, seating was excellent, everything you need they have thought about, super shower, Beautiful garden the hosts were so helpful we had a wonderful stay would recommend

Sandra and Paul were very welcoming and the flat was to a very high specification; in regard to decoration, appliances and general all round convenience. There were heaters to be used for cold days and when drying was required on wet days, although Paul had supplied some hooks in the porchway for drying the worst off should it be needed. There is also a lovely view across the valley from the window.

The flat is located above Mevagissey itself so there was no need to take the car into the narrow lanes of Mevagissey.

The coastal walk can be accessed from nearby, which is a bonus; and there are many lovely beaches nearby, as well as Heligan Gardens and the Eden Project.
