We had an amazing week at Pip House. It was the first time we have stayed or visited the Mevagissy/Portmellon area and were not disappointed. The house is well situated, well equipped and a wonderful place to relax and make memories with family. The beach at the bottom of the hill was a short walk and perfect for the dog with the added bonus of The Rising Sun Inn and a little coffee shack just across the road. Even though the weather was very stormy, Pip House felt warm and comfortable with everything you needed. The hot tub and swimming pool were lovely even on the colder days. Having the hills close by and hearing the sheep and lambs also added to the experience, particularly when sitting with a coffee on the balcony. We as a family would absolutely recommend this property to families and would return in the future without question.

April 2024

We had a fabulous stay at Pip House. The house is exactly as it looks on the photos, although nothing can quite prepare you for the view from the balcony. The pool, hot tub and BBQ area are great, sadly we unfortunately didn't get to use any of them very much, thanks to the good old British weather! It's a 10 minute walk in to Mevagissey (bit longer on the way back!) for meals etc. The house is really close to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, where we enjoyed a great day out and also The Eden Project, Fowey and Lanhydrock.

The house is probably better suited to slightly older children - ours are 2 & 7 and the numerous stairs in the property were a bit of a worry, but overall we had a really lovely holiday.

Aspects as always were really helpful, informative and accommodating and we will definitely be booking with them again.

Holidays in Mevagissey

Stay in Mevagissey and you’ll be perfectly placed to explore all that the south coast of Cornwall has to offer. Take a ferry trip to Fowey, visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan or spend a day at the beach at the nearby Pentewan Sands.

Best known for its harbour and fishing boats, Mevagissey still boasts as being part of Cornwall’s thriving fishing industry. Fresh fish can even be bought from the hut on the harbour wall, located a short stroll from the village aquarium, once the lifeboat station. Wander around the harbour area, with its narrow streets, fascinating shops and galleries and recall its smuggling history, or just relax in the bars and restaurants and coves and on nearby beaches.

There is a ferry boat which runs from end of April to beginning of October from Mevagissey to Fowey three or four times a day (don’t miss the return journey!) – journey time about 35 minutes. You may be lucky and spot some playful dolphins!

A fabulous home in a stunning location. A very peaceful setting with amazing views. All equipment and decor are to a very high standard. The facilities indoors and outdoors added the luxury to our family week away, the heated pool and hot tub were the icing on the cake We would highly recommend Pip House.

Pip House is first class in every possibly way. The accommodation is even better than the photos suggest and the location is perfect for a relaxing week away.

Even if the weather isn’t perfect (it rained a fair bit when we were there) the local pubs are great and only a short walk away or the heated pool and hot tub a great way to unwind come rain or shine!

Staying at Pip House was like staying in a luxury holiday villa in an exotic location. The views from the lounge and balcony were spectacular. The house was comprehensively and thoughtfully equipped. The pool area was brilliant. We had a fantastic holiday.
