Holidays in Mevagissey

Stay in Mevagissey and you’ll be perfectly placed to explore all that the south coast of Cornwall has to offer. Take a ferry trip to Fowey, visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan or spend a day at the beach at the nearby Pentewan Sands.

Best known for its harbour and fishing boats, Mevagissey still boasts as being part of Cornwall’s thriving fishing industry. Fresh fish can even be bought from the hut on the harbour wall, located a short stroll from the village aquarium, once the lifeboat station. Wander around the harbour area, with its narrow streets, fascinating shops and galleries and recall its smuggling history, or just relax in the bars and restaurants and coves and on nearby beaches.

There is a ferry boat which runs from end of April to beginning of October from Mevagissey to Fowey three or four times a day (don’t miss the return journey!) – journey time about 35 minutes. You may be lucky and spot some playful dolphins!

Lovely apartment with stunning views of the harbour.

A comfortable appt in a lovely location right on the edge of the harbour, well equipped with good heating if needed. Visitors should be aware that as its up 2 flight of stairs, smaller cases are far easier to carry!

We are glad that you liked it here and felt it was very comfortable for you. The views of the harbour really are quite lovely, aren't they? We do try to be as open and honest on our website description to highlight this property is on the third floor and so it may not be suitable for everyone if they have mobility issues although, we are glad to hear you did not struggle with this at all. We hope we will be able to welcome you back for another stay very soon. Phoebe, Customer Services

Very confortable stay. Always something happening in the harbour to watch. Had a great day trip to Fowey using the ferry service from Meva harbour. We will be back.

Absolutely beautiful apartment perfect location with everything you need on your doorstep beautiful views from all rooms loved everything about mevigissey and will be back soon

We had the most wonderful weeks holiday in the Sharksfin apartment and we honestly couldn’t fault it. From the moment we walked in, we loved the space, the welcome pack and mostly, the views! Being in the heart of Mevagissey meant that we could just pop out for a quick walk or a pasty, knowing we wouldn’t have far too walk to get back home or even if we just to drop things off before heading out again, it was so convenient. Our 8yr bulldog did struggle with the stairs and it was a bit of a bind when we had to take her out for a walk which is why I wouldn’t recommend Sharksfin for any human or animal with mobility issues but apart from that, we had a brilliant time and will be booking the place again

We are glad that you enjoyed it. It certainly sounds like you had a lovely time! We hope that the stairs were what you had expected from our website description. Being a third-floor loft apartment, the access to the property may not suit everyone, but for those who are ok with the stairs, this property is a fantastic base for exploring the area, if you can tear yourself away from the views and people watching from inside the property of course ;-) Tanya, Customer Services

Just returned from a very relaxing stay at Sharksfin. Wonderful apartment; incredibly comfortable and great for watching the busy working harbour life. Mevagissey is lovely, 2 very old pubs and independent restaurants. Walking along the coastal path in both directions resulted in glorious views. Michelle, from Aspects was incredibly helpful when there was a slight issue with the WiFi. I really hope I can visit again.

Excellent place,,, couldnt fault it at all.

We've stayed in several apartments in Mevagissey over the years and this is by far the loveliest. Everything we needed (& more) had been thought about. It was very clean and spacious. There were only 2 of us in our party but 4 adults would still have plenty of space.

The location for us was perfect as we love to be in the midst of this beautiful working village but that will come with some noise - mostly the fisherman going about their daily duties. This didn't bother us in the slightest as we knew what to expect. We will definitely stay here again - stepping out straight on to the harbour is perfect for us.

Lovely location, well appointed for a comfortable and relaxing stay in a great town.
