We have stayed at this apartment twice, the first time during the busy summer months and the second during winter. Both times we found it to be such a relaxing place to return to after days out and walks along the coastline. We loved sitting on the balcony and looking out over the sea. The apartment itself is finished to a high standard with under floor heating and fully equipped kitchen if you fancy an evening in, and it was so clean too, with super comfy beds. There are lots of places to go out to eat nearby as well. We really enjoyed the walk along to coast to Watergate bay (about 30mins) for a snack at the Beach Hut. Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant is in the same bay. We also went to Padstow a few times as it was so lovely. Newquay is also just a walk in the other direction, with lots of options for bars and restaurants. We had 2 wonderful stays here and will definitely be returning soon!

The apartment is lovely and exactly as pictured. It was a stones throw from Porth Beach and is located next to lots of amenities. We would definitely stay here again!

The sandy, sheltered Porth beach is one of Newquay's finest, and with a vast expanse of sand and plenty of rock pools at low tide, it's perfect for a family day at the beach. It's also lifeguarded between 10am and 6pm during the summer months. To the east of the beach you'll find Porth Island, featuring evidence of an iron age settement, and accessible only via a narrow foot bridge!

Whipsiderry is great for exploring, with plenty of rock pools to keep you busy. Although the steps down to the beach are a little tricky to negotiate, it's well worth the journey. Plus - this beach is dog friendly all year!

Things to do

One of the best walks is the coastal path, you can follow this to Watergate Bay, and if you're up to it, all the way to Mawgan Porth. You'll experience breathtaking views, and if you're lucky, you may even see some sea life!

Roo's Beach, in Porth, is a high-end fashion and lifestyle shop where you'll find stylish clothes, shoes, make-up, stationary, candles, crockery, blankets and more.

Further afield, Newquay high street has a range of shops where you'll find everything you need from food, to toiletries, to gifts.

Other activities

If you're looking for something more active to do, you can try out zorbing at Cornwall Zorbing Park

Alternatively, if relaxation is what you're looking for, the spa at Sands resort is open to the public.
