Aspects Holidays helps local pupils pedal forward with outside improvements

We’re always happy to hear from members of the community, especially local groups and organisations who value our role within the community and appreciate our support. We were therefore delighted when, earlier this year, we had a surprise visit from some Early Years pupils, along with their teacher, from Bodriggy Academy in Hayle.

The children arrived, heartfelt letters in hand, eager for us to help with improvements for their outside area. As part of the Early Years curriculum, children are encouraged to spend a large portion of their time playing outside, learning through play. The staff at Bodriggy Academy work hard to ensure the outside area is as enriching as possible and have been looking for ways to enhance the space.

We were delighted to contribute £500, which was used to purchase five new trikes to replace the old worn ones. They arrived just in time for the start of the new academic year and are already getting lots of use from Nursery, Preschool and Reception classes. Trikes are often the start of a child’s journey into cycling, and are a fantastic tool for developing coordination, balance and motor skills. We’re so glad we could help the school with this new equipment, and hope that it brings many children lots of joy in the years to come.

Mrs Quick, Reception teacher at Bodriggy Academy, passed on her thanks “A huge thank you to Aspects Holidays for their generosity and incredibly kind donation — it will make a big difference to our children’s outdoor play and learning.”
