We had a lovely stay at Sunnyside. Great location and easily accessible for the pub, beach and cafes and also the surrounding areas. Would definitely stay here again :-)

June 2023

Lovely cottage with lovely views and easy access to the beach. Well equipped and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches. The only minor quibble is that the third bedroom is quite small. Loved being able to sit at the end of the garden and look out over the sea. We ate in the local pub and both cafes and can recommend them all. Would definitely come back.

Holidays in Perranuthnoe

Just a stone's throw from the stunning St Michael's Mount, Perranuthnoe is the neighbouring village to the old market town of Marazion. With a beautiful beach, and rocky headlands with many coves and rock pools to explore, Perranuthnoe is the perfect place to relax in a peaceful area of Cornwall.

Located in Mount's Bay, Perranuthnoe is perfect for those looking to escape the crowds and enjoy the serenity that Cornwall has to offer. Described as a countryside village by the sea, Peranuthnoe is secluded enough to ensure a peaceful stay, but close enough to the bustling town of Marazion if you fancy a more lively atmosphere. With the Lizard Peninsula within easy reach, Perranuthnoe is perfect for walking holidays and exploring the rugged coastline.

Did you know...

when the conditions are right, Perranuthnoe is a great place to surf!

Things to do in Perranuthnoe

Dating back to the 12th century, Perranuthnoe's village pub named the 'Victoria Inn' is thought to be the oldest recorded Inn in Cornwall. Full of charm and character, this award winning pub is well worth a visit.

A short walk from the pub is the picturesque Perranuthnoe Church, which is dedicated to Cornwall's patron saint, St Piran. The church stands on the site of a former church dating back to 1160, and includes features from the original church, such as a Norman font.

Perranuthnoe beach, (also known as Perran Sands) offers good surfing when the conditions are right, and is ideal for beach-goers with its golden sands, cafe and car park. Be sure to visit at low tide however as there is very little left of the beach when the tide comes in! The Cabin Cafe offers stunning views and is featured in our blog: The best beach-front cafes in West Cornwall.

A popular fishing spot, even at low tide, Perranuthnoe is a favoured spot with the locals for seabass and dogfish.

The 'Village Crafts' centre located in a converted barn in the heart of the village offers an extensive range of local artwork, crafts, gifts, jewellery, and country clothing.

The Perranuthnoe Circular walk follows part of the South West Coast Path, which offers great views of St Michael's Mount, before cutting inland and back to Perranuthnoe via fields and villages.

The nearby Prussia Cove is a small and secluded rocky cove, surrounded by organic farmland and woodland has a famous history of smuggling!

Very spacious house and downstairs bedroom with walk in shower was ideal for my elderly mum. The house was spotless and very tastefully decorated, plenty of comfortable seating and kitchen well equipped. The views were fantastic, cafes, pub and beach within a few minutes walk. Make sure to park up against the wall opposite front door, this wasn’t clear on our welcome instructions.

Lovely break at sunnyside location fantastic and view from the property outstanding. Lovely garden with views over the sea . Would recommend

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunnyside. Pothnathnoe is a lovely village with two great cafes!

Sunnyside is a lovely property just 5 minutes walk from a beautiful family friendly beach. We loved Perranuthnoe. The two cafes and the pub were all excellent and sold delicious food. We look forward to coming back soon!

Ticks every box for the perfect Cornish holiday by the beach.

A blooming brilliant cottage, right in the heart of a lovely quiet Cornish village. Sunnyside has everything for a quiet stay, and is perfectly placed for access to Penzance, Marazion, the Lizard & the A30 for other more distant locations. The beach is literally a 5 minute walk & so is the Coast Path - you can be in Marazion for coffee & breakfast in under an hour (or 10 minutes by car).

We stayed during the last week of March and had fantastic weather all week, though the early part of the week was rather chilly. However this didn't stop us from enjoying a cuppa in the garden, where you can overlook the local beach & simply watch the time tick by if you want to.

Oh, and we also had a nightly visit from a very friendly fox (bless!). He really made us smile!!

Lovely house in a great location. We have always enjoyed our stay at Sunnyside

Sunnyside is a welcome haven in a beautiful village. Very comfortable and the perfect base from which to visit all the delights of south Cornwall. A lovely beach, art gallery, pub & 2 cafes a short stroll away. Thank you

Spacious cottage with lovely garden and sea view. Spotlessly clean. Excellent location for exploring the surrounding area and easy walk to wonderful local beach.

My family and I had a wonderful holiday at sunnyside in perranuthnoe . The quiet little village location is perfect and so near to the little beach . Recommend the pizza fridays overlooking the sea. Great place !!

We loved Sunnyside and will come back . Perranuthnoe is a lovely peaceful village . Surprisingly spacious cottage - very well equipped - with delightful flower filled garden and views of South West Coast path and sea . Beach 3 minutes walk so location perfect Wouldn't hesitate to recommend .

What a beautiful property, with the most incredible views, the photos really do not do it justice. Perfect base for exploring the lizard and a great house for anyone who enjoys swimming in the sea with the added bonus of an outside shower. Property was immaculate, spacious and bright with some really thoughtful touches. We will return!

Sunnyside is in a great location, it was lovely having a sea view, we never got tired of seeing it. It’s about a three minute walk to the beach and Perranuthnoe has two cafes and a pub, that we knew of. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, with all the facilities and kitchen equipment you need. I would stay again.
