Here are Cornwall’s most charming farmyard attractions.
Greeb Farm, Land’s End
A traditional farmstead, over 200 years old, Greeb Farm sits on the coastline at Land’s End. Home to a variety of small, friendly animals. Meet sheep, goats, rabbits, pigs, chickens, miniature ponies, ferrets and more! You can purchase food to feed the goats and sheep and visit the resident ducks in the quaint pond! You’ll also find the old craft workshops, where a variety of local artists and craftspeople create traditional and unique items. All set to against the backdrop of the Atlantic with far-reaching views, it’s an idyllic day out! Park at the Lands’ End car park and take the short stroll along the headland to the farm.

Trevaskis Farm, Hayle
A working produce farm, Trevaskis Farm in Hayle is well-known for its delightful farm shop, boasting an array of fresh produce and delicious cakes. It also has paddocks where you’ll meet a moorland pony, sheep, goats, and pigs! From pick your own to the mouthwatering dessert counter, a trip to Trevaskis is a real treat! Admission to the Farm Park is free!
Open from 10am, all year round, except on Christmas Day, with the shop open from 8am, restaurant at 8.30am. Dogs are welcome on the farm but not in the shop or restaurant.
Springfield Fun Park, near Newquay
On the outskirts of Newquay, Springfield Fun Park and Pony Centre’s name says it all! Offering a fun-filled day out for families with traditional fair rides, including a merry go round, dodgems and a ghost train! Plus tractor rides, rowing boats, go-karts, crazy golf, indoor play barn and of course, an array of animals! Meet the resident alpacas, llamas, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks and fish! There’s also an eight-acre woodland to explore, home to an abundance of wild animals including deer, bats, otters and rabbits! You can even feed the chickens or book a pony ride and stop by the Barnyard Café for lunch! If you fancy a picnic, bring your own to eat at one of the picnic benches dotted around the park!

Roskilly’s, Helston
Tucked away within the Cornish countryside, Roskilly’s Farm is over 60 years old and home to the famous Roskilly’s Ice Cream! Not only can you explore the working farm and meet the animals, but you can also tuck into an indulgent Cornish ice cream too. Meet the herd of Jersey cows, who are milked on site to make the rich and creamy flavours of Roskilly’s. Plus, there are Tamworth pigs (and piglets if you time your visit right), cheeky goats and free-range chickens! Animal feed is available to buy from the shop so you can hand feed the friendly residents! There are also miles of meadows, woodland and ponds to explore before heading to the on-site restaurant and ice cream parlour. You may find your biggest dilemma will be which flavour to choose!

Lost Gardens of Heligan, near Mevagissey
Known for its stunning gardens, the Lost Gardens of Heligan is one of Cornwall's most popular scenic attractions. With the iconic mud maid, rope bridge and spectacular night gardens at Christmas, it’s not just the gardens that are worth a visit. A very proud Rare Breed Farm Park, it is the first in the UK managing their land with traditional breeds of farm animals and sustainable techniques! Rare breeds you can see up close include Royal Golden Guernsey Goats, Donkeys, a Shire Horse and Exmoor Pony, cows, geese, ducks and a variety of chickens from the Barred Sussex to the Silver Spangled Hamburg, Buff Orpington, and Bantams!
Open from 10am daily with plenty of parking available on site. Dogs on lead are welcome!
Healey’s Cyder Farm, near Perranporth
An award-winning cider maker, Healey’s Cyder Farm is home to shire horses, pygmy goats, pigs, donkeys and the roaming peacocks! After a stroll down to the courtyard, marvel at the vast Rattler Cyder Tanks, pop into the shop and tasting room, then relax in the tearoom with a quintessential cream tea. If you fancy finding out a bit more about the history of cider making at Healey’s, you can book a guided tour or take a vintage tractor ride through the orchards.
Open from 9am daily, closing times vary throughout the year and closed on Christmas & Boxing Day. You can explore the farm for free, with plenty of parking on site. Dogs on lead are welcome!
Castle Brea Farm, Penzance
Get up and close with the animals at Castle Brea Farm, a quaint, rare-breed farm, home to sheep, pigs, goats, ponies, guinea pigs, rabbits and even an emu! Alongside chickens, ducks and geese! Established by a young couple in 2022, their dream small holding allows them to inspire and educate members of the public, sharing their love of animals with others. The well-loved animals can be fed by hand with their unique feeding experiences. If you visit at the right time of the year, you can book a lamb feeding session too.
