Earlier this year, we contributed to the Porthleven Public Hall fundraiser to help with its ongoing refurbishment and running costs. The hall plays a vital role in the community, hosting several clubs, groups and organisations. It is also home to the Porthleven Women’s Institute. 

When we visited the hall, we had the pleasure of meeting some of the WI members. The WI provides a welcoming space for women in Porthleven, a place to form friendships, try new activities, and be a part of the wider community. Unfortunately, the ladies in Porthleven were struggling with their old gazebo they use for events, so we were delighted to step in and purchase a new one for them. 

The Publicity Officer for Porthleven Women’s Institute, Kath Pavitt, expressed her gratitude following the Gazebo’s first outing:

“The gazebo was an absolute godsend, it provided much-needed shelter from both the sunshine and the wind, keeping our homemade cakes safe and offering shade and comfort to our volunteers working on the stall. 

We had so many lovely comments from passers-by, and it truly made a difference to the success of our day. We are incredibly grateful for Aspects Holidays’ support. The proceeds from our sales will go towards our chosen charities.

Thank you once again for your amazing support, it truly means a great deal to us all.”

The gazebo is yet to have the WI logo added, and will include ‘Kindly donated by Aspects Holidays’. Be sure to look out for the lovely ladies at local events!
