We are incredibly proud to announce that we have been recognised as one of the Best Workplaces in Travel in the UK!
Last week, our Marketing Manager, Doug Howard, and Communications & PR Manager, Gemma Taylor, travelled to London to attend the Best Workplaces in Travel awards ceremony. They were delighted to discover that, not only had we been recognised as one of the Best Workplaces in Travel, but we’d also won the Best Newcomer Award in the Small Business category. This award recognises a company that has entered for the first time and ranked highest on the hotlist!
Designed to showcase the travel industry as a brilliant sector to work in, the awards officially recognise and celebrate travel brands across the UK who excel in employee engagement and demonstrate exceptional workplace culture.
To participate in the awards, businesses invite their employees to complete the Best Workplaces in Travel’s unique survey, which not only celebrates the best of the best, but also offers insights into key issues and drivers for people working in the travel industry. Once closed, the surveys are summarised and made available to employers, alongside industry-wide comparisons and benchmarks, ensuring they can create a working environment their employees really do love.
Aspects Holidays Director, Mandy Spencer, said: "This is our first year taking part and we've found the feedback and insights incredibly valuable. It's been particularly rewarding to see so many positive comments from colleagues about the culture we've built at Aspects Holidays, with one colleague describing it as ‘the first place I have ever worked where I genuinely love coming to work’ and another calling it ‘the best company I have worked for’. The survey has also given us valuable guidance on where we can continue to improve and invest in our people."
We are delighted with our award, which is now proudly on display at our head office. With people at the heart of what we do, it really means a lot to have received such a special accolade.
