Great property in the perfect location. In the middle of everything but quiet. It was great to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean breaking on the rocks and watching the seagulls soar by the window. Brilliant having a little beach right outside which was really quiet and the added bonus of parking. Totally love this place and have just re-booked. It was so peaceful x

August 2021

A stunning penthouse with genuinely breathtaking views, we enjoyed the sound of the sea and often the laughter of people and excited barking of dogs on the beach below. The stairs were no problem and we had a very comfortable and enjoyable week.

St Ives Harbour

The Wharf, otherwise known as St Ives harbour, is a hive of activity throughout the year. With a continual hustle and bustle on the water and along the harbour front, there is always plenty to do and see while self catering at the Wharf, even at the quieter times of the year.  It’s an ever changing scene so perfect for those artists among you. Don’t forget about the very sheltered, sandy Harbour Beach, a perfect sun-trap in the heart of town and a great place to find seaglass and sea pottery! As night falls at the end of another perfect day, St Ives comes alive with a selection of bars, restaurants and cafés to suit every pocket and every taste in a truly cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Things to do at the Wharf

Boat Trips

Why not enjoy the scenery by boat and explore the coastline with an excursion with St Ives Boat Trips. Fishing trips are available for those looking for a bit of adventure, or for a more relaxing experience, a visit to seal island lets you see seals basking on the rocks at certain times of year.

Eating and Drinking

The Wharf is home to a wide selection of restaurants and cafes, serving up fresh fish and chips to gourmet burgers, with something to suit everyone. Enjoy an ice cream or Cornish pasty and watch the world go by on the harbour front, but remember to keep your wits about you; seagulls in St Ives are renowned for swooping in and stealing food right from your hands!

Smeaton's Pier

From here you'll get a stunning view of the harbour, and an up close view of the crystal clear waters. At the entrance to the pier you'll find St Leonard's Chapel; originally dedicated for local fisherman, it is now a museum and memorial for the fisherman of St Ives.

Lifeboat station

Home to the new £1.5 million lifeboat, the RNLI lifeboat station is a popular attraction for visitors to St Ives. The gift shop next door sells souvenirs where all profits go towards helping to save lives at sea.

A stunning penthouse with genuinely breathtaking views, we enjoyed the sound of the sea and often the laughter of people and excited barking of dogs on the beach below. The stairs were no problem and we had a very comfortable and enjoyable week.

The views from the apartment are amazing and is very comfortable. Being able to park around the corner is an enormous bonus, particularly in St Ives. We will be back.

A special place, views and the sound of the sea below unmatched. Easy comfortable living, attractive decor, plenty of storage, spacious, all that you need. A fantastic location, great to have nearby parking space, although as advised not for a large car. Three flights of stairs to penthouse but it is worth it.

This is a gem of an apartment. We felt very privileged to have a week of its stunning views from every window - and falling asleep each night to the sound of the waves was really special. The apartment itself is beautiful- well kitted out and comfortable. Couldn’t ask for more. Very memorable.

Perhaps one of the best views in St Ives of both the harbour and the bay.. We've been there in the winter months when there has been a huge sea right outside below...just spectacular.

Very useful parking space nearby although a challenge to access the first time.

Three flights of stairs will keep you fit.

We have been staying in properties in Sea View place for many years and hopefully will continue too.

Completely hassle free booking, picking up and dropping off of keys - couldn't be simpler.

The views from the Penthouse were fantastic and it was lovely to sit and watch the sunrise in the morning and the world go by through the day. The apartment had everything we needed for a quiet break, was spotless and comfortably furnished. We were prepared for the stairs from other reviews and the views made the 3 flights worthwhile :) The parking space is really for a small car; we were lucky the spaces to either side were unoccupied. We would definitely return. The booking process through Aspects was seamless. Pete & Suzanne

Fantastic views. Great waking up and going to sleep with sound of sea. Good description of property and stairs are steep as stated. Would definitely come again.

A beautiful and comfortable apartment with the most amazing views. Central location for town and beaches etc and undercover parking within close proximity. Love this apartment, already booked for next year!

We had a great 2 weeks stay at this apartment. The views are amazing and even in the bad weather it was great to watch the sea from your own chair. The apartment is really comfortable and well equipped. Getting our stuff up the 3 flights of stairs was a challenge at our age, but worth it for the views.

The apartment is comfortable, compact yet spacious . The views are to die for! Thoroughly enjoyed

An excellent apartment. Very comfortable and perfect location.

A superb base for a holiday in St Ives. Accommodation was clean and comfy. The steps up to the apartment are a little tiring but nothing that presented a challenge. We will be back!

The pent=house at Smeatons apartments was lovely, The views were to die for, the furnishings were good The only thing I would say is that you need to be fit to climb the stairs. WE are 80 years old and pretty fit but I will say they were a challenge!

Those views really are spectacular, aren't they? One of my favourite views in St Ives! To get those great views, there are a number of steps to negotiate, which may not be suitable everyone. If this is something that is an important consideration if returning to the area, please do not hesitate to get in contact so that we can help advise you before booking. We hope to see you back again soon. Tanya, Customer Services

We loved this apartment! The location was wonderful. The double views are to do die for- one of the sea and one of the harbor out separate windows. Parking space is as outlined- for a small/medium sized car. We had a wonderful week thanks to this apartment! We hope to come back next year.

Beautiful apartment with fantastic views, very comfortable and well equipped. Great location.

Fantastic penthouse apartment, first class panoramic views. Parking space very handy. Plenty of restaurants and pubs in St Ives. Good spot for a base to explore the peninsula. Beautiful part of the world. Ps, keep your eyes pealed for seals...

Stayed here on holiday for the last 5 years or more. Love the place. The only disapiontment is the side window overlooking the harbour has now been sealed closed.

It is lovely to hear just how much you love this place. We are really pleased to report that the owners have changed this back to an opening window, so you can look forward to that when you next return. It was lovely to welcome you back here again and we hope to see you back here for many more years to come. Lucy, Customer Services

Another happy week in St Ives. Smeatons Pier is a lovely apartment with great views. The parking space just around the corner is a valuable thing in St Ives. Close to the town and all amenities.

We have stayed in many holiday lets in St Ives and this is by far the best. There can't be many places with such amazing views. We spent an entire afternoon mesmerised by the rough sea below from our cosy third floor window overlooking the entire bay. We will definitely return at the earliest opportunity.

I have found aspects a very efficient company to deal with, their staff are very helpful

Our holiday was great and everything was as described in the accommodation. The 3 flights of stairs were a challenge but wouldn't put us off booking again!

Lovely apartment fantastic views really clean and comfortable. Service from the Aspects staff was excellent.

Our 2nd year in this apartment, well equipped and stunning views. Probably the best you can get.

Our 3rd visit to this excellent apartment with wonderful views. You need to be quite fit for the 3 flights of stairs, but well worth it. The car parking facility is very handy as there is problems finding spaces in st.Ives. Hope to be back next year.

The location cannot be bettered, the views are fantastic and you are right in the heart of St Ives with plenty of restaurants and drinking establishments close by and the added bonus of a parking space.

Fabulous apartment, great location, fantastic views. Everything you need for a relaxing break.

We really enjoyed our stay at Smeatons Pier Penthouse. It was our second stay here and would recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful place to stay with amazing views and very good facilities, especially the comfy bed. There are 3 flights of stairs which may cause a problem for some but for those that can manage it you won't be disappointed. We really appreciated the flowers, wine, tea, coffee etc that were provided for our stay. I'm sure we will visit again.

A beautiful apartment. Very comfortable with stunning views.

If i give the great reviews it deserves then it might get more people staying there at the time we want to stay lol. Lets keep this great place a secret. Ha ha

Childhood holidays relived in this gorgeous little gem of an apartment! Loved it!

Superb location with stunning sea views of all around the harbour, very comfortable penthouse apartment with the added bonus of a parking space which is perfect in high season would definitely recommend and will be returning again. Mr & Mrs Stoneley Leicestershire.

Stunning views whichever window you looked out from.

Stunning apartment with unrivaled views of the bay and harbour. The apartment made a good holiday into our best visit to St Ives yet over 10 years. Will definitely be back next year.

The apartment is perfectly located for all of St Ives high spots. The harbour, the beaches, the shops and the restaurants. The views of the sea and the harbour are truly amazing. Watching the sun rise was an unexpected bonus. If you love St Ives don’t miss out on this apartment.

A lovely penthouse flat with wonderful views. Well appointed and a parking space. It is not suitable for older or infirm because of all the stairs. Our 2nd visit and we hope to return next year.

This apartment has the best views of the harbour and sea. We had our honeymoon here and fell in love all over again. We loved to sit in the bay window and watch the sea and world go by. Added to this having a parking space close by was a huge bonus We were impressed by Aspects Holidays professionalism and communication during our stay. Highly recommended

Unbeatable views from the penthouse. Ideal location and public areas ie the entrance and stairs were beautifully carpeted and freshly painted. Everything you could want in the apartment was there and very good quality

This is a wonderful apartment situated in a prime location to explore St Ives and enjoy harbourside views when eating any meals in. Close the windows for a peaceful rest or open up and let the sea air and seaside noises enter the space.
Watch the daytime activities and people transform with the illuminations of the night lights on the harbour whether the tide is in or out.

Our second stay at the Penthouse apartment and not disappointed. The light living space with beautiful views over the sea, harbour and rooves, sitting in the bay window reading, knitting or watching the surfers and seals. Absolutely worth the walk up the 3 flights of stairs and the sloping roof in the bedroom! Will be back!

A real gem, a place to relax and enjoy

superb place views second to none.

Absolutely stunning views in a lovely, spotlessly clean and well positioned property.

Wonderful panoramic sea views from all windows in this Penthouse Apartment. We had everything we needed & more....lovely little touches, wine, biscuits, milk in fridge & flowers on table.Comfy sofa &'s in each room.......perfect peace...just the sound of the waves rocking us to sleep each night!!

Beautiful apartment with beautiful views. Brilliant location; close to the town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Will definitely stay again!

Second to none views, excellent location, parking and stairs to property could be an issue for some people.

Thank you for your review, it's great to hear that you loved the views from there as much as we all do! Being up on the third floor involves a number of stairs which we refer to in the description. The parking is only suitable for a small to medium size car, so may take a little manoeuvring, but a great additon, we hope you will agree, in a town where parking can be quite limited; we hope that you found it useful to have the parking so close by. For anyone interested in this property, if you are concerned with number of steps or parking size, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us to check on its suitability before booking. Tanya, Customer Services.

The property is in a very good location excellent views and will defiantly book again

Fantastic location, brilliant views. Recommended for under 40s as the bed was awful!

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your comments; those views really are spectacular from there, so we are very glad to hear that you enjoyed them. We are sorry that you found the bed uncomfortable; it can be very difficult to find a mattress that will suit everyone and it is dissapointing to hear that it was not to your preference. For now, we will monitor comments to keep an eye on guests preferences over the coming months. Thanks again. Tanya, Customer Services.

Fantastic & amazing views all round

The views from this property are amazing. I doubt there is anything to match them anywhere in St Ives. If anything the brochure undersells how fantastic this apartment is!

This penthouse has one the finest positions in St Ives anthe views are stupendous

Top location apart from 3 flights of steep stairs, and tight parking.

Thank you for your review, we were glad to hear from the feedback, that you enjoyed Smeatons Pier Penthouse and its fantastic location. Being up on the third floor and right by Smeatons Pier, it benefits from amazing views, though does involve a number of stairs which we refer to in the description.
