St Ives is such a beautiful place to come to visit and the place we stayed in had the most spectacular views. I’d definitely holiday again with aspects.

St Ives Harbour

The Wharf, otherwise known as St Ives harbour, is a hive of activity throughout the year. With a continual hustle and bustle on the water and along the harbour front, there is always plenty to do and see while self catering at the Wharf, even at the quieter times of the year.  It’s an ever changing scene so perfect for those artists among you. Don’t forget about the very sheltered, sandy Harbour Beach, a perfect sun-trap in the heart of town and a great place to find seaglass and sea pottery! As night falls at the end of another perfect day, St Ives comes alive with a selection of bars, restaurants and cafés to suit every pocket and every taste in a truly cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Things to do at the Wharf

Boat Trips

Why not enjoy the scenery by boat and explore the coastline with an excursion with St Ives Boat Trips. Fishing trips are available for those looking for a bit of adventure, or for a more relaxing experience, a visit to seal island lets you see seals basking on the rocks at certain times of year.

Eating and Drinking

The Wharf is home to a wide selection of restaurants and cafes, serving up fresh fish and chips to gourmet burgers, with something to suit everyone. Enjoy an ice cream or Cornish pasty and watch the world go by on the harbour front, but remember to keep your wits about you; seagulls in St Ives are renowned for swooping in and stealing food right from your hands!

Smeaton's Pier

From here you'll get a stunning view of the harbour, and an up close view of the crystal clear waters. At the entrance to the pier you'll find St Leonard's Chapel; originally dedicated for local fisherman, it is now a museum and memorial for the fisherman of St Ives.

Lifeboat station

Home to the new £1.5 million lifeboat, the RNLI lifeboat station is a popular attraction for visitors to St Ives. The gift shop next door sells souvenirs where all profits go towards helping to save lives at sea.

St Ives is such a beautiful place to come to visit and the place we stayed in had the most spectacular views. I’d definitely holiday again with aspects.

This apartment has one of the best locations in St Ives right on the Wharf in between Cafe Pasta Pizza and the Gin Bar. The view looking out the window is stunning and the balcony is large and sheltered from the wind making it perfectly enjoyable to sit outside during mid December. I do however feel the property is in need some some modernising and significant money spent on it to bring it up to a higher standard; the bathroom has no heating so in order to keep it somewhat warm the door has to be left open to the hallway, the bathroom fixtures also could do with a refresh, the televisions are very small and of poor quality, although mattress was nice and comfy the bed could do with being replaced as could the rugs in and sofas in the property. The kitchen / lounge has no heating apart from an electric log burner so if you want to use the lounge when you wake up you have to pre warm it as I wouldn’t want to leave an electric heater on whilst out or asleep. Lastly the door lock could do with changing as sticks. Overall we had a great time and the view / location does make up for a lot of it but feel this property could be amazing with some money spent on it. Aspects - great service as always. Matt & Jen

Thank you for your helpful feedback. We try to offer a wide range of properties that will suit the differing styles, tastes and budgets of individuals, so some will have more modern appearances than others, and the style of décor may not suit everyone. However, they are all priced accordingly, to take into account many factors including location, number of bedrooms, sea views, parking and so on, and they should always be well maintained. We will check on all your comments on the next property inspection and send on our thoughts and suggestions to the property owners. In the meantime, we have passed on all your feedback to the owners, for their consideration, so thank you for this. When you are staying in a property, fully using all the facilities there, you get to experience and view them in a very different way than we do when we visit them, so it is really helpful. We are glad that you enjoyed the amazing location there; the views really are fantastic aren't they? Hopefully see you again soon. Tanya, Customer Services

Fantastic apartment in an amazing location overlooking the harbour and close to the heart of all that St Ives has to offer.

This is our second stay at Balcony On The Wharf and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is very clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated and is well equipped. Nice white towels and bed linen and has a good shower. What makes this apartment extra special is the spectacular view over the harbour beach and the balcony which we spent many an hour sitting out on with a drink or two. Hopefully we will be coming back here again soon to our favourite St Ives. Thank you Aspects Holidays.

Who ever has this accommodation will I’m sure have a wonderful time especially sat out on the balcony with a cuppa and watching the world go by.

A bijou apartment with unrivalled, unobstructed views of the harbour and fabulous central location. The balcony really ‘‘brings the outside in’

We found balcony on the wharf to be perfectly positioned for a great stay in St Ives and it lived up to our expectations. As you open the lounge door you are treated to a fabulous view of the harbour and beach and as the name suggests there is the balcony to relax and enjoy the ever changing scene. It was very clean and comfortable with a lovely kitchen. We were the first to visit after lockdown and everything went smoothly.

Excellent location and stunning views via a very large bay window and lovely balcony. Even when it rained we could sit and look at the harbour. Comfy beds, cosy lounge plus a very friendly seagull who kept popping on the kitchen windowsill, it was all just lovely!

Excellent location, book your car park rover ticket for the Island car park

We loved the location and views and we would happily return - including in the winter - if a heater is installed in the bathroom. Jonathan seagull seems to be a regular visitor to the kitchen window!

Our second visit to this superb apartment. Glorious views from the living room and what a treat to have a balcony overlooking the sea. Well equipped kitchen and supplies of dishwasher tablets and other basic cleaning products. Great that it's dog friendly too.

Balcony on the Wharf is a little gem!

Superb views from a cosy flat in an excellent location.

The service from the Aspects team is brilliant.

Our stay was amazing in spite of the very mixed weather.
Beautiful view from this apartment.
Very comfortable and well equipped.
Would love to stay again.

Amazing location. Lovely balcony. Best sea view in St Ives! We have visited St Ives every year for 13 years and this is the best location for us as we love being right in the middle.

We have been to the Balcony on the Wharf twice now and neither time has it let us down, so much so, we have rebooked for two more visits in 2020!

Love flat Love location Love atmosphere

What an excellent property Balcony On The Wharf proved to be just like the website described. Amazing harbour view and beyond to the other beaches from a very roomy balcony . We could have just sat and watched the world move by. Facilities in the property are excellent and would thoroughly recommend staying in this location location .

Balcony on the Wharf has glorious panoramic views of the harbour from the living room, main bedroom and spacious balcony. This Compact but stylish accommodation sits in an enviably central location and it’s charms made our holiday in St Ives one of our best yet!

The flat is well equipped and has a world class view from the large bay window. The wi-fi is quite good.

Beautiful location and very comfortable apartment. We had a lovely relaxing week with the bonus of fab weather. St Ives never disappoints!

We had a lovely time here. Great location, very comfortable and all you need. Would highly recommend

This is an absolute gem right on the harbour with not only amazing views from the picture window but an outside terrace. It's great to have so much kitchen equipment and enough cleaning and washing products to allow us to keep everything clean and tidy. Really comfortable and spacious. The only downside is that there are two sets of steep stairs up to the second floor, not suitable for anyone with health problems.

To take full advantage of those amazing harbour views, Balcony on The Wharf is accessed via 2 flights of stairs from the communal entrance hall; they are fairly standard in terms of the steepness, but certainly still something to consider for those that prefer to avoid too many steps into a property. We always try to be as open and honest as possible and try to give an accurate representation of properties within our photos and descriptions, so hope that we have achieved that in this case. We are delighted to hear that you liked Balcony on The Wharf and its fantastic location and views, and thank you for taking the time to send in your comments. Tanya, Customer Services

Absolutely lovely week in this property with a view so perfect it didn't look real !! , the location was amazing so close to everything! , nice and cozy in the apartment !! really clean and a perfect week !

The apartment has a fantastic position on the wharf and the views are outstanding. The apartment was spotlessly clean and even in November the heating kept it nice and warm.
