Arvor, Cornish for coast, is a stunning double fronted four bedroom property with excellent sea views in one of the most sought after terraces in St Ives, with the distinct advantage of two off-road parking spaces. This spacious, light and airy house is a five minute walk from the surfing paradise of Porthmeor beach and St Ives harbour. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the lively town which, especially in high season, is a real advantage. With bags of space for eight people this house provides a true St Ives experience.

Fancy a hot shower in the wet room after a fun day on the beach? Care for an al fresco aperitif on the terrace in the warm evening sunshine? Arvor could be the place for you! Based over three floors, the kitchen, utility area, sitting room and outside areas are on the ground floor with a few steps up to the front door. The second floor has three bedrooms and the main family bathroom and then the pièce de résistance lies on the third floor with the king size bedroom commanding stunning views towards Godrevy Lighthouse.

Parking in Barnoon

Properties in Barnoon/Carthew are fantastic for those bringing a car to St Ives. Three quarters of our properties here come with private parking and there is opportunity to use the Barnoon car park. Apartments such as those in the Carthew Court development are located in residential areas and have superb, elevated views.

Self catering in Barnoon

Although you are still well located between Porthmeor and the town, self catering in Barnoon/Carthew allows you a lot more room to relax, with amenities such as WiFi and luxuries like sea views. Walk down the hill in one direction and you can visit the Tate and Porthmeor beach, or head right and you'll find yourself in the centre of town.

New Year's Eve in St Ives

Spend New Year's Eve in St Ives for an unforgettable evening at the largest fancy dress party in the county. Ring in the New Year with an unbeatable fireworks display by the sea.

St Ives Feast Day

Held on the anniversary of the consecration of the Parish Church of St Eia in 1434 AD, Feast Day offers visitors to witness - and even join in with - some centuries-old traditions. A morning precesison led by the Mayor to bless the Well of St Eia. Following this, the Mayor will 'Hurls the Silver Ball' into a crowd of children who assemble on the beach below. The one who returns the ball to the Guildhall steps by midday receives a silver coin. In the afternoon the Mayor then throw pennies from the balcony of the Guildhall for children to collect.

We had an enjoyable stay at Arvor other than for some maintainance issues, the wet room is not really for use as a bathroom and so bathroom facilities are a bit limited at full occupancy. Parking was a bonus but is a bit of a squeeze for two cars

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry that you seem to have had some maintenance issues while you were there. We have since been in contact with you to discuss further and will get these investigated and attended to now that we are aware of them. We are also sorry to hear that you found the bathroom facilities limited. The wetroom is in the courtyard to the back of the property and serves as an additional facility to the main bathroom and en-suite shower room that are situated in the house. It makes for a great space to use when returning from the beach, with space for hanging wetsuits, but like you say, may not be best suited to use as a main bathroom facility. We are glad to hear that you had an enjoyable stay, and hopefully see you back here in St Ives again soon. Tanya, Customer Services.
