Upon arrival at Linden Lea, guests are welcomed with a stunning exterior and inside the grand entrance, with spacious and contemporary design, is sure to impress. This certainly is a holiday home where magical memories can be made with the large kitchen at the heart of the home, white walls, parquet flooring and windows all looking out onto the lovely garden, which make this light, bright space, feel welcoming and relaxing and ideal for family get-togethers. A large wooden kitchen table is ready and waiting to be laden with delicious, local fare and bottles of wine, while the marble island/breakfast bar provides additional space for food preparation or simply somewhere to interact with the chef in your party, while they prepare dinner. The master bedroom boasts a super kingsize bed and comes with a stunning en suite, where fluffy towels await after your shower, and a stylish walk in dressing room gives the wow factor. The private office space, accessed from the garden, will provide the perfect spot for those looking to stay in touch with work. Step outside onto the decked balcony, which makes for a great social space on those summer days, and in the evenings, gather around the fire pit, toast some marshmallows and enjoy a hot chocolate or an after-dinner drink as the sun sets. On warm summer days, you can take a stroll down to the stream with a good book and while away the hours, while younger guests will love the climbing frame and your four legged friends will have fun exploring the large garden.

For the more energetic, the picturesque Camel cycle and walking trail is just minutes away, where you can hire some bicycles for the day and enjoy the stunning trail, which has picture-postcard views along the sandy estuary to Padstow; the perfect place to stop off for pub lunch. Head the other way and you’ll find the Camel Valley vineyard and Bodmin’s 18th century Jail (as seen in Poldark) – just don’t forget to look out for the steam train as you approach Bodmin! Tennis courts, a childrens play park and Wadebridge Regal Cinema are all within walking distance, and Rock beach, which is dog friendly, is just six miles away. A short walk will take you to a selection of shops, eateries and public houses in Wadebridge.

Holidays in Wadebridge

The charming market town of Wadebridge is located in a picturesque location on the River Camel estuary. This scenic town is popular with walkers and cyclists, with idyllic coastal and countryside walking routes and the Camel Trail cycle route on the doorstep. With some of Cornwall's most beautiful beaches just a short drive away and a fantastic selection of independent boutiques, art galleries and eateries in the town itself, Wadebridge has everything you need for a memorable holiday in Cornwall.

Perched on the edge of the River Camel estuary, this pretty market town in North Cornwall is great for walking, cycling and foodie holidays, and perfect for discovering beautiful beaches and trying out some watersports.

Things to do in Wadebridge

The Camel Trail

Connecting Wadebridge, Padstow and Bodmin, this scenic cycling trail has been created on the old railway line. The whole trail is 18 miles long and it's all traffic-free and quite level. Hire bikes in Wadebridge and cycle 5.5 miles alongside the estuary to Padstow, or 5.75 miles through countryside and woodland to Bodmin. From Bodmin, you can then cycle just over 6 miles to Wenfordbridge.

Walking

Wadebridge is home to Saints Way, a 16 mile cross country walking route, forged in ancient times by Celtic saints between Padstow and Fowey. The walk takes you past pretty creeks and villages, and through the ancient town of Lostwithiel. Bodmin Moor is also nearby which is fantastic for walking and there are numerous coastal paths near Wadebridge to discover as well.

Boat trips & watersports

The River Camel estuary is a playground for activities on the water, with boat trips running between Padstow and Rock, speedboat tours and watersport lessons and hire. You could have a go at stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, water-skiing or banana boating.

The Regal Cinema

The Regal cinema in Wadebridge first opened in 1931 and has a retro vibe. It's the perfect place to chill out with some popcorn and a movie when you've had a bit too much sun.

Shopping

Wander the streets of Wadebridge and you'll be spoilt for choice with independent shops, boutiques and galleries, as well as numerous cafes and pubs where you can refuel. Head into nearby Padstow for a plethora of art galleries and seaside gift shops.

The Royal Cornwall Show

Taking place every June, the Royal Cornwall Show is the biggest agricultural show in Cornwall. The showground comes to life with horse jumping, judging of cattle and other animals, live music, crafts, falconry, trade and food stalls, a fairground and much more.

Dining out in Wadebridge

Warne's Bar and Restaurant

Located in the heart of Wadebridge, this family-friendly restaurant has some mouth-watering menu choices including burgers, steaks and seafood dishes, with a separate gluten free menu too.

The Stepping Stone

Serving a selection of modern British cuisine, made from local Cornish produce, this hidden gem is not to be missed. Enjoy a relaxing dining experience and choose from a fantastic selection of delicious dishes.

The Tiny Thai

Situated in a riverside location, this authentic Thai restaurant serves food that is packed full of flavour. Expect a a welcoming and informal setting with a street food feel.

Malcolm Barnecutt Bakery

No trip to Cornwall would be complete without sampling a Cornish pasty. Malcolm Barnecutt's are arguably the best pasty-makers in this part of Cornwall, and sell a delicious range of sandwiches and cakes too.

Further afield, there's Rick Stein's, Paul Ainsworth at Number 6 and Rojano's Italian restaurant in Padstow, as well as a fabulous range of seafood restaurants in Rock and Port Isaac.
