Step back in time with us as we stroll through the cobblestone streets of Falmouth with Pirate Will, our charismatic guide.
On a sunny spring morning, some of our team had the pleasure of joining the Falmouth Uncovered History Tour, a walking tour that unveils the hidden treasures of Falmouth's rich maritime history.
From interesting anecdotes to tales of swashbuckling adventures, Pirate Will captivates his audience with fascinating facts about this charming coastal town. As the tour began, we knew this wasn’t your average historical town tour! Will is a knowledgeable and passionate guide, sharing tall tales of old with much aplomb.
As we wandered along the route, Will provided an enchanting soundtrack on his accordion, and we were treated to panoramic views of the harbour, dotted with an array of watercraft.
We strolled at a gentle pace, every corner revealing a new chapter of this fascinating story.
Including a mesmerising nautical tale that leads us to the box office hit Life of Pi.... if you’ve read the book or seen the film, the name Richard Parker will be known to you but here on the streets of Falmouth you can hear his legend, which came way before the infamous tiger!
Will’s tour is an absolute must for history buffs, culture vultures and anyone interested in maritime, we learned of pirates and high society, the Spanish Armada and even a world-famous composer!
We ended our 90-minute tour feeling thoroughly entertained and all very keen to sign up for his Ghost Tour!
