We are proud to announce our new sponsorship with Helston Under 14’s girls football team for the 2021/22 season. The Helston AFC Under 14’s Halos is made up of girls who mostly go to school in Helston or Mullion and are between the ages of 12 and 14 years. Aspects Holidays Property Manager for Mullion, Rosina Perry, popped down to see them play recently. The photo above shows team members left to right Macy, Lois, Leah, Chloe, Martin, Rosina (Aspects Holidays), Mark, Isabel, Neve, Rhiannon, Edie, Pandora, Miriam, Bonnie, Immy, Maya and Mabel. Particularly since Covid, the Halos has been an excellent opportunity for young people to engage socially, outdoors with others not necessarily from their usual peer group.
Here’s what Commercial Director, Mandy Spencer, has to say:
“We are always keen to support local young people, especially when it involves sport and outdoor activities. Keeping active and socialising with each other is so important for young people’s physical and mental health, which as we all know, has been impacted greatly by the pandemic, so we hope that our donation will help the girls of Helston AFC and their supporters feel even more proud of their team and their achievements”
Assistant Coach Mark Swift said the following:
“They are an outstanding group of resilient young adults who impress me every week with their grit and determination and are brilliant role models for their peer group.” He also praised his colleague, Head Coach Martin Northcott, “Martin is the lead coach and I assist him, without Martin and all the other volunteer coaches around the country then all grassroots sports wouldn’t be possible.”
