If you love pasties and you love Cornwall you’re going to be as excited as we are about the launch of the first ever World Pasty Championships. Backed by the Cornish Pasty Association, the event is being held in celebration of the traditional pasty, as well as some more unusual savoury variations!
Taking place at the famous Eden Project in North Cornwall, the World Pasty Championships will be accepting entries from all over the world and from both individuals and businesses. There will be four categories, Cornish Pasty – Professional, Cornish Pasty – Amateur, Open Savoury Pasty – Professional and Open Savoury Pasty – Amateur, giving people of all abilities the chance to win the championship title!
In aid of the event, Aspects will be holding their very own mini pasty championships. Staff members from the Hayle and St Ives offices have been welcomed to enter their own amateur creations under the ‘savoury pasty’ category. Whichever pasty receives the most votes from staff (whichever is the yummiest!) will be put forward to enter the real championships at the Eden Project on the 3rd March 2012.
