A week from now, the Truro City of Lights will transform Cornwall’s capital city. Baffled about the potential wow-factor of lighted tissue lanterns? Discard all of your predisposed ideas – the City of Lights is a spectacular procession of grand creations that wouldn’t be thought possible.
There are creations by local schools, universities, charities and artistic individuals, all in silent competition to build the best, and most unique construction.
This year, the festival has teamed up with local wildlife charity Cornwall Wildlife Trust, to celebrate the Trust’s 50th Anniversary. Stampeding through Truro City Centre will be a range of wondrous creations encompassing the wildlife theme. As well as the main procession, there will be a selection of hot food and drinks to warm your stomach and hands!
