There are dozens of bonfire events and fantastic fireworks displays taking place all over Cornwall in 2025, ensuring we all remember remember the 5th of November! From small community gatherings to big and bold bobby-dazzlers, whatever your preference, you’re sure of an ooh-ahh-mazing time.
So wrap up warm and head out under the stars to watch explosions of colour light up the night skies, eat toffee apples, and write messages with a sparkler (oh yes, sparklers are for adults too!).

St Ives

Wednesday 5th November
Porthminster Beach
Head to St Ives on Guy Fawkes night to experience Porthminster's annual fireworks display. What could be more magical than fireworks exploding over the glistening sea on an autumnal night? Watching with a mug of steaming hot chocolate! A series of food stalls and hot drinks from local businesses will be at the event to cater for the firework evening. So, wrap up warm and be sure to bring some change for the donation pots to keep this fabulous event going each year. Facilities, including the public toilets, will remain open until 9pm.
Lelant
Friday the 31st of October
The Badger Inn, Fore Street, Lelant, St Ives TR26 3JT
Combining the spooktacular fun of Halloween with the dizzying delights of bonfire night, this seasonal extravaganza at The Badger Inn is set to thrill every ghoul and guest. Dance away to DJ Phil Greet’s boogie-worthy tunes and make sure the kids are dressed up in their frightful best as the fancy dress competition is always a good show. A crackling bonfire to help remember gunpowder, treason, and plot will be lit around 7pm with the whoosh and bang of fireworks following shortly after. Burgers, hot dogs, and mulled cider will ensure your insides stay nice and toasty, while the outside bottle bar will keep you feeling refreshed.
Hayle
Saturday 8th November, gates open 6pm
Hayle Cricket Club, Riviere Towans Phillack, Hayle, TR27 5AF
Hayle Cricket Club’s annual Firework Extravaganza will light up the skies on Saturday 8th November this year. With gates open from 6pm, arrive before the display begins, which is set to take place at 8pm, to soak up the autumnal vibes. There will be a selection of local food sellers serving BBQ food, street food, drinks, ice creams and more! Parking is limited, so it’s best to park at North Quay car park (free of charge for the evening) and walk to the club. Donations are expected on arrival to keep the evet running each year.
Looe
Saturday the 8th of November, 7.30pm
Tencreek Holiday Park, Polperro Road, Looe PL13 2JR
Head over to Tencreek Holiday Park in Looe for an evening of bright lights, good food, and oodles of excellent entertainment, from cabaret to bingo. Watch the fireworks light up the night sky and the kids’ faces, and chow down on a delicious hog roast that will warm you from the inside out. The kids will love meeting Deano the Dolphin and Sparky the Sharky, and everyone will enjoy basking in the colourful glow of the fireworks display. Kids under 16 go free, and adults are £7 a ticket.
Lappa Valley Railway
Friday the 31st of October and Saturday the 1st of November, 5.30pm
Lappa Valley Railway, St Newlyn East, Newquay TR8 5LX
There aren’t many fireworks displays in Cornwall where you can arrive by steam train, making Lappa Valley Railway a wonderfully unique experience. Once you step off the train at the historic engine house, you can take the kids into the soft play area before heading outside to enjoy the dramatic and dazzling display of fireworks at around 7.30pm. Hot food, snacks, and drinks can be found at the Engine Shed Café, and glow sticks, glasses, and headbands are available too for the little (and fully grown) ones to play with. Make sure to book your spot ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
Bodmin

Wednesday the 5th of November

Throwing even more awe into an already awesome night, the Bodmin bonfire night boasts big fires, grand fireworks, and lasers! A fair will keep the kids thoroughly entertained while the food and drink stalls keep everyone wonderfully well-fed. Gates open at 5pm, with the show kicking off around 7pm - warm coats recommended! Tickets are usually around £5 for adults and £3 for children in advance (you can pick them up at Morrisons, the Spa shop in Lanivet, and Bricknells in Wadebridge) or you can pick them up at the gate.
Newquay
Saturday the 1st of November
NQY Sports Centre, Tretherras Road, Yeoman Way, Newquay TR7 2SL
Newquay’s biggest bonfire night bash, NQY Fireworks is set to be the grandest yet! Eight bars will keep every guest topped up, while 12+ food vendors offer a smorgasbord of tasty treats. The kids will love the inflatable fun fair and the 40ft cinema screen, while the adults can get stuck into the afterparty – not to mention the beer festival during the day! Tickets are £3.50 for adults, and children go free, so make sure to book your ticket ahead of time.
The Lizard
Saturday the 1st of November
The Lizard Recreation Ground
Fancy attending the most southerly fireworks show in the UK? This year, the Lizard is putting on a whopping display of fireworks in celebration of Bonfire night, with the gates opening at 5.30pm and the show starting at 7pm on the dot. Hot food and drinks will be available throughout the evening, with donations gratefully accepted to help fund the event.
