The Nook was an excellent choice for us and as we wanted close proximity to beaches, shops and the harbour, the location was fantastic. A cosy cottage with lovely decor. Felt very much at home.

St Ives Harbour

The Wharf, otherwise known as St Ives harbour, is a hive of activity throughout the year. With a continual hustle and bustle on the water and along the harbour front, there is always plenty to do and see while self catering at the Wharf, even at the quieter times of the year.  It’s an ever changing scene so perfect for those artists among you. Don’t forget about the very sheltered, sandy Harbour Beach, a perfect sun-trap in the heart of town and a great place to find seaglass and sea pottery! As night falls at the end of another perfect day, St Ives comes alive with a selection of bars, restaurants and cafés to suit every pocket and every taste in a truly cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Things to do at the Wharf

Boat Trips

Why not enjoy the scenery by boat and explore the coastline with an excursion with St Ives Boat Trips. Fishing trips are available for those looking for a bit of adventure, or for a more relaxing experience, a visit to seal island lets you see seals basking on the rocks at certain times of year.

Eating and Drinking

The Wharf is home to a wide selection of restaurants and cafes, serving up fresh fish and chips to gourmet burgers, with something to suit everyone. Enjoy an ice cream or Cornish pasty and watch the world go by on the harbour front, but remember to keep your wits about you; seagulls in St Ives are renowned for swooping in and stealing food right from your hands!

Smeaton's Pier

From here you'll get a stunning view of the harbour, and an up close view of the crystal clear waters. At the entrance to the pier you'll find St Leonard's Chapel; originally dedicated for local fisherman, it is now a museum and memorial for the fisherman of St Ives.

Lifeboat station

Home to the new £1.5 million lifeboat, the RNLI lifeboat station is a popular attraction for visitors to St Ives. The gift shop next door sells souvenirs where all profits go towards helping to save lives at sea.

Great location right by the harbour. This property provides everything you need for a hassle free holiday. Lovely and cosy too. A little noisy at night and early morning, which may put some people off.

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time at The Nook. With its fantastic location right between Fore Street and the harbour, you really do get the best of both worlds. With its fantastic location in the heart of St Ives, there is occasionally some associated noise from the restaurants and the volume of people in that location, though the local businesses try to be as considerate as possible to minimise this. We appreciate that this may not suit everyone, but we are glad that you agreed that it is a fantastic spot for really getting to experience all that St Ives has to offer. Tanya, Customer Services

This is a lovely little property, right in the heart of town, so only a short distance from anywhere within St. Ives. it has everything you may need.

Jan 2019

A charming little cottage in an excellent location, although not big, it was large enough for 4 adults, we had a November booking and the cottage was really warm and comfortable, would highly recommend and hope to return soon.

Nov 2018

We had a lovely stay. The Nook was very comfortable and had everything we could want. A very well decorated and furnished cottage in an excellent location.

Nov 2018

The nook is a fantastic location but you do get a lot of noise from the surrounding businesses ie bin emptying and deliveries very early in the morning and late at night so please be aware . It did not affect our holiday at all and earplugs would do the trick x

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the fantastic convenient location of The Nook. Being tucked away down a cobbled street in the centre of St Ives, just a few steps from the harbour in one direction, and Fore Street in the other, which is lined with nice restaurants, cafes and independent retailers; you really do get the best of both worlds. There can be some associated noise from the restaurants and the volume of people in that location at times. We are glad that you really enjoyed it there, and all the benefits of being in the heart of it all. Tanya, Customer Services.

The Nook was a beautiful property in the most perfect location. The extras were very much appreciated, will definitely be staying again. Aspects customer service is wonderful too, thank you all around from this family!

May 2017

Very close to all amenities - well equipped and perfect for those who like to be in the heart of the hustle and bustle of St Ives.

Aug 2016

Cosy clean furnished lovely

May 2016

NOT suitable for elderly/disabled. Constant deliveries up side of property. Very claustrophobic and would only be okay if you were literally only sleeping in there.

Thank you for your very useful feedback. The Nook is a fantastic base for exploring St Ives, being just a few steps away from both the harbour front and Fore Street. With such a fantastic, central location, there are a few restuarants in close proximity and some noise may be experienced; our description has now been amended to state this. As The Nook is on the ground floor and level throughout, we list this as accessible, though there are a couple of steps into the property itself. Our website has the option of selecting 'accessible' properties, which are described as this due to having level/ground floor access (though there may be a step or two into the property), or lift access; some are fully wheelchair accessible. If accessibility is a consideration, please do get in contact with our sales team before booking so that we can advise on the suitability. Tanya, Customer Services.

Great location, well furnished and equipped with everything you could need. Needs an outside bin and the noise from.nearby bars and restaurants was a problem for us so we'd stay a little more out of the way next time but this is a great little apartment.
