Nice little property in a good location, could do with a good clean, comfortable beds, smart tv and lovely hamper provided. More suited to a couple than a family.

Also the staff from the bakery down the alley should consider an alternative location for their cigarette breaks!

St Ives Harbour

The Wharf, otherwise known as St Ives harbour, is a hive of activity throughout the year. With a continual hustle and bustle on the water and along the harbour front, there is always plenty to do and see while self catering at the Wharf, even at the quieter times of the year.  It’s an ever changing scene so perfect for those artists among you. Don’t forget about the very sheltered, sandy Harbour Beach, a perfect sun-trap in the heart of town and a great place to find seaglass and sea pottery! As night falls at the end of another perfect day, St Ives comes alive with a selection of bars, restaurants and cafés to suit every pocket and every taste in a truly cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Things to do at the Wharf

Boat Trips

Why not enjoy the scenery by boat and explore the coastline with an excursion with St Ives Boat Trips. Fishing trips are available for those looking for a bit of adventure, or for a more relaxing experience, a visit to seal island lets you see seals basking on the rocks at certain times of year.

Eating and Drinking

The Wharf is home to a wide selection of restaurants and cafes, serving up fresh fish and chips to gourmet burgers, with something to suit everyone. Enjoy an ice cream or Cornish pasty and watch the world go by on the harbour front, but remember to keep your wits about you; seagulls in St Ives are renowned for swooping in and stealing food right from your hands!

Smeaton's Pier

From here you'll get a stunning view of the harbour, and an up close view of the crystal clear waters. At the entrance to the pier you'll find St Leonard's Chapel; originally dedicated for local fisherman, it is now a museum and memorial for the fisherman of St Ives.

Lifeboat station

Home to the new £1.5 million lifeboat, the RNLI lifeboat station is a popular attraction for visitors to St Ives. The gift shop next door sells souvenirs where all profits go towards helping to save lives at sea.

Lovely cottage very modern with everything you need

Nice little property in a good location, could do with a good clean, comfortable beds, smart tv and lovely hamper provided. More suited to a couple than a family.

Also the staff from the bakery down the alley should consider an alternative location for their cigarette breaks!

Brilliant location!

Lovely property close to all amenities and good for someone with accessibility issue. The property has everything you need for your holiday.

The Nook is a very clean property in an excellent location, however there is very little natural light, so it feels as though you are living in a basement.

The bedrooms are well appointed and the beds comfortable, however the whole "cottage" is not really suitable for 4 adults, due to the limited space.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you very much for your review. We were so pleased to see that you found the beds to be nice and comfortable and the bedrooms themselves to be well appointed. We were sorry to hear that you felt the property was too small for your party and lacked the level of natural light that you would want. It is a small property that is tucked away in an enviable location within the heart of St Ives. With a twin bedroom and double bedroom, it can comfortably sleep 4 but the size of the living space may not suit everybody, so we try to show this as clearly as we can with photos and the video. While the space did not work for your party, we do hope that you agree, it provides a great base for exploring all St Ives has to offer, with everything quite literally a few steps away from your doorstep. Thanks again for your comments, we do hope to see you again soon. Ben, Customer Services

We have always enjoyed holidays booked through Aspects Holidays and this one was no exception. We love St. Ives and 'The Nook' was a perfect little holiday home for the 2 of us in the centre of the town. It was comfortable and had all the facilities and equipment that we could need. Aspects make sure that all arrangements are clear and easy to follow and the same was true of the guidance and instructions for the use of the venue. The dedicated parking space was a real bonus. Knowing that Aspects are in charge of the management and administration of the holiday makes a real difference for us because we can be confident that everything will run smoothly and any queries will be dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner.

Clean the apartment up it was filthy

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are so sorry to hear that you had felt that the cleanliness was not to the high standards that you would have expected. That is certainly is not what we would want for your arrival and we are sorry that we were not aware at the time of your stay so that we could send the housekeeper back immediately. We completely appreciate that you would expect the property to be 100% for your arrival and you may not want to be disturbed, but we would have loved to have rectified any concerns so that you could fully enjoy your chosen property. At this point, it is difficult for us to fully assess the standard that the housekeeper left the property, with further cleans having now taken place, but please rest assured that your comments have been passed on and we will closely monitor further feedback, so thank you for bringing it to our attention. Tanya, Customer Services

The Nook is a perfect little apartment very close to the harbour and shops, with the added bonus of a parking space. More suited for a young family or a couple, as living space was a little cramped. The washing machine (which was located at the end of the alleyway) was a god send but when airer was up, there was not much room.

Lovely location out of season, busy in season. Small but homely.

Ideal location in the heart of St. Ives. Unfortunately we wouldn’t stay again as the property could do with a re-fresh.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your comments, though we are very sorry to hear that you would not return to this property having felt that it could do with a re-fresh. A lot can happen to a property in a short space of time, so thank you for bringing this to our attention so that we can investigate your comments and pass the feedback on to the property owners. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the great location; it certainly is in a perfect spot for exploring St Ives. Thanks again for your feedback. Tanya, Customer Services

Booking with Aspect holidays was easy, the Nook was aptly named. It is located a few steps from the harbour and so easy to get to everything. The majority of the pubs and cafes are dog friendly, our Schnoodle loved it.

The Nook was an excellent choice for us and as we wanted close proximity to beaches, shops and the harbour, the location was fantastic. A cosy cottage with lovely decor. Felt very much at home.

Initial presentation was excellent. Superb location, lovely decorations, everything you need in the kitchen. Smart TV and Bose system need i say more. Also the welcome pack of cream tea and wine and the added Tea coffee milk and sugar which hit the nail on the head after a 7hr journey. We really had a great stay, our party included 5 23,54 and 85yr old wheelchair user (could walk up the step and about The Nook)

Thought the property was over priced for where it was situated up an alley with a view of a brick wall through every window

Reply from Aspects Holidays

The Nook is tucked away off one of the little cobbled streets that runs in between the harbour front and Fore Street, where you will find all the lovely little shops and restaurants. Whilst you do not get nice sea views or town views from this property, we feel that it is priced accordingly, taking into account its amazing location, number of rooms, facilities and so on, and when compared to other properties, but we will certainly continue to monitor this for further feedback and pass on your feedback to the property owners. We hope that you still enjoyed the property and your time here in St Ives. Tanya, Customer Services

Great little accommodation, in a brilliant location. The Photos make it look bigger than it actually is, but still a great little apartment. That said, it could have been a little cleaner, but detailed standards, certainly wouldn't class it as dirty. Biggest issue is the parking space. Its a 15 minute walk, up a very steep incline and certainly not for the older Guests, or physically challenged. The property description doesn't tell you that, so be aware. If you want to get out and about, every day, as we did, then it becomes an issue , getting to the car each day.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are sorry to hear that the parking arrangement was a bit of a struggle. Parking is at a premium in St Ives, so whilst the allocated space is a little walk away (and uphill when walking from the property to the car), the owners had hoped that taking away that struggle of finding a space every day, often ending up in one of the car parks at the top of town and uphill anyway, would make guests stay here as stress-free as possible. The walk to the parking, especially if you are likely to use it every day, or have limited mobility, is certainly something to bear in mind when booking this property. We hope that you still found the space useful and that you had a fantastic week here. Tanya, Customer Services

Beautiful Little cottage, perfect location, very well equipped

Great location

This tiny Nook is close to the harbour and the busy main shopping street. It's in the heart of St Ives and great for being close to the bars and cafes...and beach. However with little natural light and no mobile signal, some may find it claustrophobic. But we enjoyed being close to everything and spent most of our time out & about. When things went wrong both Aspects and the owner went out of their way to rectify things and make sure our holiday was one to remember.

This property is in an excellent location. The owners have clearly taken time to add lots of homely details and furnishing. However there is no natural light coming in to the living area. The living area is very small and not very comfortable for more than 2 people. The bathroom is incredibly small. The bedrooms are a good size.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are sorry to hear that found the living area to be darker than expected and not big enough for more than 2 people. Many of the older properties within St Ives are often packed full of character, with quirky layouts but often a lot smaller than in more modern buildings. We always try to be as open and honest as possible, so whilst The Nook can accommodate 4, with a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, there is just the 2 seater sofa and dining table with 2 chairs in the sitting/dining/kitchen area. It may not work for everyone but provides a great little base right in the heart of the extremely popular St Ives. We try to give an accurate representation of the size and layout of all properties within our photos and descriptions, and with the addition of a video for this particular property, we hope that we have achieved this. Thanks for your helpful comments, and we hope that you enjoyed everything that St Ives had to offer. Tanya, Customer Services

Great location right by the harbour. This property provides everything you need for a hassle free holiday. Lovely and cosy too. A little noisy at night and early morning, which may put some people off.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time at The Nook. With its fantastic location right between Fore Street and the harbour, you really do get the best of both worlds. With its fantastic location in the heart of St Ives, there is occasionally some associated noise from the restaurants and the volume of people in that location, though the local businesses try to be as considerate as possible to minimise this. We appreciate that this may not suit everyone, but we are glad that you agreed that it is a fantastic spot for really getting to experience all that St Ives has to offer. Tanya, Customer Services

This is a lovely little property, right in the heart of town, so only a short distance from anywhere within St. Ives. it has everything you may need.

A charming little cottage in an excellent location, although not big, it was large enough for 4 adults, we had a November booking and the cottage was really warm and comfortable, would highly recommend and hope to return soon.

We had a lovely stay. The Nook was very comfortable and had everything we could want. A very well decorated and furnished cottage in an excellent location.

The nook is a fantastic location but you do get a lot of noise from the surrounding businesses ie bin emptying and deliveries very early in the morning and late at night so please be aware . It did not affect our holiday at all and earplugs would do the trick x

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the fantastic convenient location of The Nook. Being tucked away down a cobbled street in the centre of St Ives, just a few steps from the harbour in one direction, and Fore Street in the other, which is lined with nice restaurants, cafes and independent retailers; you really do get the best of both worlds. There can be some associated noise from the restaurants and the volume of people in that location at times. We are glad that you really enjoyed it there, and all the benefits of being in the heart of it all. Tanya, Customer Services.

Beautiful cottage has everything you will need for your stay , cottage was clean no sign of any dogs and prefect location , unfortunately bathroom was a little big small for a family , internet was excellent but No phone signal , just what your 12 year needs

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your review. It is great to read that you enjoyed your stay at The Nook and that the property had everything you needed, whilst also being in the perfect location! It's certainly not a generous sized bathroom, but the owners have tried to ensure that there is everything there that guests should need. Unfortunately there are quite a few areas within St Ives that have poor phone signal, so if this is an important consideration, it may be worth giving us a call when you are looking to book in future. Thanks again for your review and we hope to see you back again soon. Tanya, Customer Services

The Nook was a beautiful property in the most perfect location. The extras were very much appreciated, will definitely be staying again. Aspects customer service is wonderful too, thank you all around from this family!

Lovely cottage, excellent location close to the harbour and the shops

Lovely cottage, fantastic location, wonderful decor, comfortable and cosy.

A fabulously quirky little cottage in a brilliantly convenient, central (but secret!) location. It is full of character, but will surprise you with all it's modern technology.

Very convenient for beach, shops etc and very cosy when visiting in colder weather

Although without views, this lovely little cottage is superbly based in the hub of the town.

Cute little cottage & well positioned in the town.

Perfect location. Steps away from harbour front. Lovely welcome hamper.

Very close to all amenities - well equipped and perfect for those who like to be in the heart of the hustle and bustle of St Ives.

Cosy clean furnished lovely

NOT suitable for elderly/disabled. Constant deliveries up side of property. Very claustrophobic and would only be okay if you were literally only sleeping in there.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your very useful feedback. The Nook is a fantastic base for exploring St Ives, being just a few steps away from both the harbour front and Fore Street. With such a fantastic, central location, there are a few restuarants in close proximity and some noise may be experienced; our description has now been amended to state this. As The Nook is on the ground floor and level throughout, we list this as accessible, though there are a couple of steps into the property itself. Our website has the option of selecting 'accessible' properties, which are described as this due to having level/ground floor access (though there may be a step or two into the property), or lift access; some are fully wheelchair accessible. If accessibility is a consideration, please do get in contact with our sales team before booking so that we can advise on the suitability. Tanya, Customer Services.

Great location, well furnished and equipped with everything you could need. Needs an outside bin and the noise from.nearby bars and restaurants was a problem for us so we'd stay a little more out of the way next time but this is a great little apartment.

Quirky cottage but very noisy location
