Great location to St ives centre, and a great size for 2 people. Kitchen had everything you needed if planning on cooking/ staying in some nights. Definitely listen to the advise about car size, we were in a VW Polo and it was tight. Would stay there again if we had the chance.

St Ives Town

Many of our larger town houses are situated just a couple of minutes’ walk from the centre and these offer ideal family accommodation, many with gardens, something of a rarity in St Ives. If all that shopping and socialising gets too much, you can always get away from it all and relax in the tranquil setting of Trewyn Gardens, a real little haven, tucked away in the heart of the town.

So, for self catering holidays in St Ives with everything on your doorstep, the town is the place to be.

Step and Sea was exactly as described. Perhaps not ideal if you wanted to sit on the front decking to enjoy the view, but exactly as described, a view of the sea across the roof tops. Bedroom very comfortable and facilities great to cook a dinner, if you didn't fancy going out to eat. Less than a 5 minute walk to the sea-front restaurants and 10 minutes to the best beaches in St Ives. Return to property via some steep steps both up and down so not suitable if you are not good with steps. As suggested on the website access to parking space very tight through a very narrow entrance, but once this is negotiated, parking at the property was actually more spacious than the website suggests. It was easy to reverse out of the parking space and turn around in the wider part of the approach, but that does rely on some of the other parking spaces of adjacent properties being empty. I would not have liked to reverse all the way onto the main access road, about 100 metres, as the final 20 metres is just so narrow. All in all, highly recommended.

It was great to hear how well Step n Sea worked for you. It certainly is in such a fantastic location where you can easily access all the best bits of St Ives. The steps up to and down from the property may not suit everyone, so those with limited mobility may want to check with a member of the team before booking. We try to show these as clearly as we can within the website photos to give a good idea though, so we hope that this was what you had expected. We were glad to hear that our description of the parking gave you a good idea of what it was like before you arrived. It is possible to reverse all the way back down the lane onto the road, but some may not feel as confident with doing that, and whilst the space will fit a larger car, it would make manoeuvring very difficult, so we would only recommend a small car. It sounds like you had a fantastic time; we hope that we will see you back in St Ives again someday! Tanya, Customer Services

Our second holiday at Step n Sea, having visited after our wedding in 2019. We've stayed in a fair few holiday cottages in St Ives over the years, and have found this to be the perfect spot for the 2 of us. Highlights include: - Spotlessly clean - The parking space (absolute gold dust) - The location, lovely and quiet but under a 5 minute walk to all of the action - Gorgeous little sun room at the front, perfect spot to read a book with a glass of wine (whatever the weather!) Thank you Aspects, we'll be back.

Very comfortable and clean, and we had a sea view albeit small but very nice to see from the conservatory.

It was very clean and tidy but I wouldn't book this place again or recommend it to friends and family

We are sorry to hear that this is not somewhere that you would return to. We have since been in contact to go over your feedback and whilst sofa comfort and TV size can be very subjective things, we appreciate that if they are not to your preference this will understandably affect you wanting to re-book. Whilst these haven't been commented upon before, we have passed on your feedback to the property owners and we will closely monitor other guests feedback on this so that we can discuss it further with the property owner if necessary. Thanks for taking the time to send in your comments and we hope that you still had a great time here. Lucy, Customer Services

We had a lovely stay at Step n Sea for New Years, a great private location only a short walk to the main streets and harbour of St Ives. Cosy little apartment perfect for the two of us with a parking space right outside, my VW Polo fitted perfectly but anything bigger it could be a struggle as it is a narrow street. Smooth booking with Aspects, they couldn’t do enough for us. 10/10.

Apartment was fine for a couple of days - walking distance to the harbour but no longer. No view and steps run right alongside the Windows which have no blinds. Spotlessly clean.

Our holiday was really good and we cannot fault the customer service of Aspects Holidays but we do feel that parking is a particular issue on this property. The apartment was clean, and contained all equipment needed to enhance our stay. It was only a 5 minute walk into the centre of St Ives and wonderful beaches to choose from. Well done!

We are sorry to hear that you had struggled with the parking; we try to make it as clear as we can within the description, so we do hope that it was what you had expected. The parking area really is only suitable for a small car and will require careful manoeuvring, so if you are ever looking to return and would like information on other parking options in the town, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are glad to hear how much you had enjoyed your time here, making the most of the fantastic location of Step n Sea. Tanya, Customer Services

The property was just lovely, such a great location and perfect size for two. Added bonus of the sun room (for overcast days), the outdoor terrace...and a parking space! The bed was very comfortable and - as bath lovers - the gorgeous natural light in the bathroom added to the joy of long soaks. It couldn't have been more perfect for our honeymoon. Thank you.

Feels like home from home, peaceful and only 5 minutes from the harbour. Couldn’t ask for more!

Great location for a couple to set up base in Cornwall. Having never been to St. Ives, we weren’t sure what to expect. We very much enjoyed our stay in Step N Sea. Very comfortable bed.

If you are not looking for a view but parking space this is the place. You need to be fit to be able to walk up and down the steps to the town. Good location for the town.

Thank you for your comments, we were glad to hear that you enjoyed your time here, and found that having the convenience of a parking space (a bit of a luxury in St Ives), and being in such a handy location for the town, made up for the lack of views that you have from this property. It makes for a great base for exploring the town and getting out and about in West Cornwall, so we are glad that you liked it. Hopefully see you back here soon. Tanya, Customer Services

Good central location, short walk to town & beaches. Clean & well set up for self catering. Comfy bed!

A very comfortable apartment for two in a very convenient location. We would happily book it again.

Excellent apartment in a great location, accessible to all the local amenities.

Not as good as I hoped

A perfect quiet cosy apartment for two and ideal for a long weekend away. Well equipped with everything you would need and just an easy quick 3 minute walk into town. Lovely little touches from the owners including a little hand written book of information. Would definitely like to come back again!
