We had an excellent and cosy 5 night stay in Carne Farm Studio with our 5 month old puppy. Upon arrival, the cottage was spotless and we were very impressed with the cleanliness and spaciousness of the property. The cottage is nice and warm with the central heating and the log burner is an added bonus. We loved the rural farm location being only 3 miles to St Ives and just over 4 miles to Penzance. Although the cottage is off the beaten track, it’s only a very short drive to the main road into St Ives. The cottage had excellent kitchen facilities and the most wonderful shower. We can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I have just returned from a 4 night midweek break at Carne Studio. It was absolutely perfect, just rural enough to be completely peaceful, but close enough to St ives, Penzance, Mousehole and Newlyn for trips out. The property was absolutely spotless, credit to the owners, who had also thoughtfully left plenty of hand gel, disinfectant wipes, plus every other cleaning product you could think of!!! The studio had everything you could imagine to make it a home from home, even down to a garlic press!! A wonderful break, and we look forward to our next visit.

Warm and welcoming property.
Great location outside of the hustle and bustle of St Ives.
Cleanest holiday property we have ever stayed in.
Friendly property owner.
Mr Cox Sep 2020
Lovely property in a great location. It is unusual to have a cottage which is dog friendly and so beautiful inside with comfy furnishings and very well equipped. Great beaches within 10 minutes drive including Porth Kidney beach which allows dogs to enjoy the sandy beach all season. The cottage was all we needed for a perfect break and I would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.
Mrs Shearwood Sep 2020
Carne Farm Studio was soo comfortable and cosy. Log burner was fab on a few wet and windy nights. The owners were soo friendly and helpful and left some local farm milk and brownies and some fresh eggs from her chickens which was a lovely touch. Would not hesitate to stay there again x
Mrs Weale Oct 2019
Carne Barn is a lovely, rural place to stay. The night sky is fantastic for star gazing, the house is well equipped, so it’s a great place to be away from the hustle but close enough to the surrounding beaches. It was perfect for us.
Mrs Wilkins Sep 2019
We stayed at carne farm studio for one week at the start of the summer holidays with a baby and a 7 year old. The studio was absolutely perfect for our needs- good size bedrooms and storage facilities, well equipped kitchen, comfy lounge and dining area. Location wise it’s in a nice quiet rural area but close enough by car to st ives and Penzance. The owners are very responsive should you need them- and the welcome brownies are to die for! All in all we had a perfect little family holiday - I imagine this place would be equally wonderful in the cooler months too. Thanks for having us!
Mrs Haynes Jul 2019
We loved it here. The cottage is very comfortable with everything you need. It’s in a beautiful rural setting, very tranquil but within easy access to the coast and all it has to offer
Mrs Cooper Jul 2019
Great place. Really helpful, friendly owners but in no way intrusive. The local pub was disappointing but perhaps will improve as there were new owners there.
Mrs Wain Jul 2019
A lovely , welcoming cottage. Very clean , well -equipped and comfortable. We also liked the eggs, milk , fruit and delicious chocolate brownies that the owner provided !
Ms Imamura Jun 2019
Great holiday property. Owner close by but not intrusive. Lovely accommodation in an isolated rural place but convenient to both Penzance and St Ives. Had a great time. Booking with Aspect Holidays was a good experience. Thanks.
Mrs Hodges May 2019
Really pretty barn that has been lovingly restored it is tastefully decorated and furnished to a good standard. Its very comfortable and the lovely woodburner is a lovely focus in the middle of the room and really cosy on a winters evening. The lady that owns the property is next door in the farmhouse. But not at all intrusive. She had thoughtfully put a small tree and lights up for us even though we had booked last minute on christmas eve morning and travelled that afternoon she had also put milk and eggs in the fridge for us. We had a lovely break over the Christmas holidays thankyou
Mrs Wigley Jan 2019
Nice comfortable cottage which came with everything we needed. Handy for St Ives and Penzance area but in a peaceful rural location - really felt like we got away from it all.
