Our second stay at Victory Cottage. So wonderful. Cosy, extremely well equipped in a great location. The upper room is such a bonus with sea views and a delightful window seat. We stayed in November and appreciated that it was warm and welcoming. It’s so nice to stay in a cottage which retains so many original features. For us it was quaint, beautiful and perfect … added bonus dog friendly.

November 2023

We had a fantastic time staying here from the moment we arrived it was very clean and inviting - we felt right at home! The beds are very comfortable and my daughter loved the loft bedroom! We found the bakery just across the path absolutely delicious - the smells wafting over every day were amazing.

Right in the heart of the Digey,Victory cottage is in a great location for all the beaches and facilities that St Ives has to offer. The property is welcoming and extremely comfortable. To us it felt more like an apartment than a cottage….. A little bit noisy in the evenings over the weekend, but during the week fine.

You couldn't ask for a more central property in St Ives than Victory Cottage, with beaches, shops, cafes and restaurants all right on your doorstep. Unfortunately, being so close to all the action of the town can result in noise being heard occasionally - especially during peak times - so we do our best to advertise this as clearly as possible on the website, but we hope you agree that the hustle and bustle of the working town adds to the atmosphere! Amazing location and beautiful property. Loads more space than expected

Thank you aspect as well, communication was great when needed

Lovely cottage, good location, good size and well decorated xx

Perfect place to stay. So close to everything

Loved our week at Victory Cottage. Great location. Handy for all the beaches. Fresh, clean and interesting interior, comfortable and cosy. Can't wait to come back.

A lovely quirky cottage in the middle of St Ives. It was convenient for everything. All shops , harbour, beaches, walks and restaurants were right on the doorstep. There's a gorgeous bakery literally opposite the cottage, slightly pricey but delicious bread and cakes. No parking available, we parked in the local carparks which were quite reasonable. The loft bedroom has beautiful views and is so quaint and cosy, however the bed settee is not at all comfortable. We reported it and Aspects Holidays kindly brought a mattress topper round. It was better but still not ideal. My adult son slept on it and he was uncomfortable. It's a double bed but absolutely not suitable for two people to sleep on. I felt bad my son had to put up with it when our double beds were comfortable. We had a couple of hygiene issues which I've reported to Aspects Holidays. I'm waiting upon a response.

It's great to hear that you enjoyed being in the centre of St Ives, as you have said there are so many restaurants, cafes, beaches, and shops right on your doorstep! We are also pleased that you found the carparks in the area to be helpful; parking is a highly sought after feature in St Ives, so finding a space in a long-stay car park is very beneficial.

It can be incredibly difficult to find a bed/sofa bed that is suitable for all preferences, but whenever possible we always do our best to rectify comfort issues if it isn't to someone's liking, so we are pleased the mattress topper did help with this. Since your stay, we also spoke to the property's housekeeper to ensure that the areas of concern that you brought up to us were sorted, but we are sorry if this was not communicated back to you. We hope we can welcome you back to Cornwall again soon. Katy, Customer Services.

‘ Victory Cottage’ is a gem of a property. Snuggled into the corner of Fore Street and The Digey, its position is superb - just seconds from the harbour and a 1 minute stroll to Porthmeor beach. The cottage is superbly equipped and furnished with a wonderful attic room snug with a sea view. Loved every minute there!

Really comfortable cottage. You can hear the passers by and some noise from the shops.

Would recommend for the central location and very warm and cosy. Lovely peaceful room at the top looking out to the harbour.

Great location, gorgeous property, clean & comfy. Have booked with Aspects for the last 5 years & in the past we have been greated with beautiful hampers & prosecco. This year however, we got out of date milk & cheap mince pies....we don't book for that reason alone, but it definitely felt like they had stopped making an effort this year....shame as the property was lovely, just not the level of service we expected from Aspects...

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your thoughts following your stay at Victory Cottage. We are so sorry to hear that your welcome pack contained some milk that was out of date. This is certainly not what we would expect, and we apologise for this oversight. Welcome packs are arranged by individual owners and their housekeepers, which is why the contents may vary from property to property, but your feedback has automatically been passed along to the property owner for their consideration. We hope to see you in Cornwall again soon! Katy, Customer Services.

Lovely clean cottage, great location.

Victory cottage is absolutely beautiful, in a perfect location for shopping and the beaches and right opposite a bakery for breakfast in the Mornings. We loved the lay out of the cottage and it felt quite spacious, the attic room has beautiful views. We will definitely be booking to stay again. You can hear people late at night walking past but I quite liked hearing that, makes you feel more on holiday hearing people chatting and laughing, with the windows shut it’s not a problem if you don’t like that sort of thing. Aspects were brilliant and can’t do enough for you. Thank you for letting us stay for two weeks and making the best memories with our family.

Great location just off Fore Street, a perfect view of the “Green Door” a well laid out, pleasant space and the bonus of a sea view from the top floor. Perfect for a morning cuppa!

Loved the downstairs space for beach stuff-and having a few bits and bobs to use was lovely and welcoming! Will definitely be keeping it in mind for future visits to St Ives!

Very clean and well presented. Other than the stairs to the artic room, the stairs will not too steep inside the property, excellent for my elderly parents

5* this is an amazing cottage! We have already booked for next year! Location is BANG ON! Perfectly located opposite a small bakery (yum) Car park is a 5 minute walk (if you can get a space!) Decor in the cottage is brilliant, very basic but also very homely We stayed with our 7, 10 and 12 year old and dog. Kids absolutely loved it! My 12 year old had his own room in the attic with the BEST view Beds are very comfy 2 sofas to relax Dining table to eat at together ALL the necessities you need for a beach day (even in Feb!) body boards, buckets, spades, nets etc Our dog has loved being here too. A lot of walking and being on the beach. 5 minute walk to the Co-op Various amounts of restaurants, bars and coffee shops within a 2 minute walk Victory Cottage is amazing, we literally had the best holiday ever!

Make sure you visit Carbis Bay (via the train, think we paid 75p each!)

We also visited Lands End, St Michaels Mount and Coast to Coast Karting!

Cannot recommend this cottage enough! And the location.

St Ives you are just a beauty 5*

This is a lovely, well furnished property. We hope all guests treat it with the care and respect that it deserves. We had a lovely stay here.

Home from a lovely week in St Ives. We are a family of 5, 3 children aged 12, 9 & 6. Cottage was so cosy and had everything we needed. My 12 year old daughter slept on the sofa bed in the loft room which she found really comfortable and it was nice for her to have her own space! Really clean cottage, kitchen well equipped. Washer/dryer, which we made use of! Modern bathroom and shower. Large hallway area downstairs to leave sandy shoes and surf boards and storage room with stuff for the beach. Excellent location 5 minutes one way to the harbour, 5 minutes the other direction to the beach. Close to all the shops and restaurants. Literally 2 steps to the bakery. Co-op short walk away for the essentials or if you wanted to drive and get more shopping there is a Tesco not too far. Also 2 different car parks 5 minute walk, when we arrived we walked from the car with our cases to the cottage. Roads are quite small and lots of pedestrians but you can drive the car down to unload/ load up which we did on the way home. St Ives was still really busy even in October. Would definitely return to this cottage.

Not for anybody with mobility problems.

Thanks for your review. As with many of the characterful, traditional Cornish cottages in the heart of this old fishing village; stairs and layouts in these kinds of properties may not suit all party members. With this property being set over 3 floors, the granite steps to the front door, and the stairs up to the attic room being very steep, it may not suit those with limited mobility, but for those who can manage these, we hope you will agree, it is well worth it to experience the fantastic character, charm and hard to beat location of this property. Please do not hesitate to contact us to check on the suitability of any property before booking. Tanya, Customer Services

Had a wonderful weeks stay at Victory Cottage, I loved to sit on the kitchen window seat and watch the world go by. It was bigger than we expected and my son loved the attic room to get away from his sister! The beach storage room was brilliant for storingo your paddle boards etc.

We really enjoyed our stay at Victory Cottage. The location is fantastic. It’s a comfy stay and has all you need.

Victory Cottage is centrally located, perfect for all aspects of your holiday. So good, booked to visit again later in the year.

Victory cottage is a delightful little gem. Nestling inconspicuously on the corner of Fore Street and The Digey, it’s in the perfect location that combines closeness to the beaches with being in the centre of the hustle and bustle of the shops, which are right on its doorstep. The furnishings and fittings are first class, and there is some beautiful local artwork to enjoy too. The piece de resistance is the delightful little top floor sitting room which has a beautiful picture- window view of the harbour. We loved it!

Lovely place, photos really don’t do it justice !!!

Perfect location right in the centre even though it was busy we was never disturbed by any noise. The top room had fantastic sea views a really nice room just to have a relax in. The beds are very comfortable and a good size Bathroom was a good size and loved the underfloor heating. The apartment was very clean ( really important in the current climate) sad no welcome basket but totally understand with COVID and there was plenty of cleaning essentials . We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic holiday again in st ives at Victory Cottage. Brilliant location with very comfortable beds. Thanks Aspects team

Aspects are an excellent company. There were issues regarding booking which were beyond their control but they dealt with them very professionally.

The cottage was clean , comfortable and homely and although some of the rooms were small good use was made of the space, the beds were extremely comfortable, and although in the middle of the hustle and bustle We weren’t particularly disturbed by noise. The room on the top floor has fabulous views of the harbour and the Porthminster beach , lovely Spot for a glass of wine in the evening Watching the sunset. For us the only negative was the shower door very very small if your over a size 14 or a male with a sizeable chest !! Thank you for the lovely welcome pack, we will definitely return to this cottage

The cottage is really well located and the kitchen and bathroom are lovely. The rest unfortunately is a little tired and could do with a bit of attention. We found everything we needed in there.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your comments, and we are very sorry to hear that you had felt that there were some areas needing a bit of attention. Victory Cottage had met all required standards, with any necessary/routine maintenance being carried out as expected when we had last inspected this property; however, a lot can happen to a property in a short space of time, so thank you for bringing this to our attention, so that we can investigate your comments and pass the feedback on to the property owners. It sounds like you still had a fantastic time here and we're glad that you liked the great location. Thanks again for your feedback. Tanya, Customer Services

Fantastic location to shops and all beaches. Don’t be put off by central location, the seagulls are noisier than people. It’s suitable for 2 couples or 2 adults and 2 kids. Sofa bed not suitable to sleep on. Very well equipped, oven, microwave washer dryer. No dishwasher. No outside space to dry things but there’s an airer and space downstairs. Not suitable for people who struggle with stairs. Considering location, property is spacious.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your comments; the location really is great, being so close to all the great things on offer in St Ives. We're glad that you liked it! We are sorry to hear that you found the sofa bed uncomfortable for sleeping on. It can be quite tricky to find one that works equally as well for seating and sleeping, and with everyone having different preferences on mattresses as well, so we are sorry to hear that it was not to your preference. For now, we will monitor comments to keep an eye on guest’s preferences over the coming months. The stairs are certainly something to consider, with the property being set over 3 floors and the stairs to bedroom 3 being quite steep, but with so much space for a cottage in such a central location, we hope that you found that it still worked well for all of your family. Thanks again. Tanya, Customer Services

Excellent location , friendly and speedy service from all at aspects. House was ideal for our holiday and it allowed us to make the most of very moment, nearly claimed squatters rights as didn’t want to leave

We were delighted by the house and by everything in it. We had a wonderful week and would love to go back and stay at Victory Cottage.

Lovely decorated cottage just off Fore Street. The location was fantastic. I was worried about noise from Fore Street but we hardly heard anything. The views from the upstairs room was lovely. Well presented cottage and the dog loved it too.

An amazing cottage, wonderful holiday.
