We loved the space upstairs which was perfect for our family with two grandchildren. The sea views were great and the property had lovely touches to make it feel homely. It was well equipped and clean. It was also good to have an outside space. We would definitely book again.

We stayed at Greensleeves during half term. The house Is very well positioned for town and the local beaches / cliff walks right from the doorstep. Also bonus of a decent parking space. Inside the upside down setup really makes the most of the views out to Porthmeor beach so I could check the surf from the lounge! Bedrooms were nice and good quality furnishings as was the bathroom. The upstairs is a HUGE open plan space which seems a little overkill and feel more could be done with it but is nicely decorated with good furnishings. Only downside is the kitchen downstairs. It’s quite small, somewhat dated and was missing baking trays so had to improvise. Families spend a lot of time in the kitchen and this didn’t really do justice to the rest of the house - also lacks the great views from upstairs. Something to be thought about there. Overall though - it was a lovely house and we would stay again.

Thanks for your feedback. When you are spending at least a few days in a property, you get to experience the property differently than we do when we visit them, so this kind of feedback is really helpful. We will pass this on for the owner's consideration and will have a look when we next inspect the property. There should have been baking trays though; sometimes they are stored in places that aren't quite as obvious though, so we will check on this. Thanks again and hopefully see you back soon. Well maintained accommodation, with good views and nice quiet location. Walking distance to the beach and town. Great space for parking, we didn’t need to move our van all weekend.

Kitchen needed cleaning on arrival, no curtains or blinds at two of the three upstairs windows hence no privacy, six bags of rubbish and a full bin outside that we had to ask to get removed, it must of been there for at least 3 weeks, aspects promptly sorted this, long hike to the town and beaches up and down some very steep roads, would not stay in this property again or recommend due to location, On-site parking good

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to read that the location of Greensleeves means you would not look at returning or recommending it to future guests. It is up a fairly steep hill, as is much of St Ives unfortunately; but the location means that you get those stunning sea views. We know that the hill may mean that this property will not suit everyone, so we include information in the website description in the hope that guests will know what to expect when booking, so we are sorry if this was not what you were expecting. It is with these great views in mind that the owners decided to not include blinds in some windows upstairs, to really make the most of those views, but all bedrooms and bathrooms, where you would need that privacy, have blinds or curtains in place. We are very sorry that the bins had not been collected; this was an oversight with the private waste collection team, so we are glad that this was quickly resolved, and we hope that none of this spoiled your experience. This property has a lovely spacious second floor living space which is light and airy with sea views. The property is very spacious. The yard/garden doesn’t get much sun but within a 10min walk you can be on the beach.

A great base for a family holiday, easy access to the beach, great facilities in the house and parking which is a real bonus in St Ives. We would definitely come back.

lovely house, very clean and well furnished, car parking was a bonus, amazing sea views from lounge.

Lovely accommodation with easy access to the beach and town centre. The parking was an added bonus, bed and sofa very comfortable :)

The location of Greensleeves couldn't have been better. Superb views of Porthmeor beach and the Island....The walk up Porthmeor Hill ( even though it was only half way up) could be taxing for some people, but we found an easier way up, as long as you didn't have a pushchair.... Even though we went in the middle of October, with floods in our home town of Birmingham, there was beautiful blue skies in St Ives.......Can't wait to return.... Superb holiday

Perfect base to explore the beauty of St Ives.... Within walking distance of the beach and town with beautiful views of the beach.... Plenty of room for us all.... Quiet and relaxing just what we wanted for our holiday

This house is spacious in a lovely place above Porthmeor beach and has fantastic views. But, unfortunately it is very dated and I would recommend you stay somewhere else until the property is refurbished.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are sorry to hear that you felt the property to be dated. We try to offer a range of properties that will suit the very different tastes, budget and needs of individuals, so whilst this property is certainly not old fashioned in decor, if you are used to something very modern in appearance, with all the mod cons, then this property may not be best suited. The style of decor is as shown on the website photos though, so we do hope that it was all as you had expected from viewing these. The owner of this property is very proactive and responsive to feedback, so he keeps everything very well maintained and visited the property on the changeover straight after receiving this feedback to check that everything was in order. Thank you for taking the time to send in your comments. Tanya, Customer Services

A spacious, well equipped home close to porthmeor beach. Perfect base for St Ives as well as the surrounding area such as Lands End, Carbis Bay, Lelant, and Sennen. Well equipped with everything you need for a weeks stay for a family and four legged friends. Relaxing garden terrace is great for sunny breakfasts and sunsets. Comfy beds and a well laid out kitchen.

Fantastic location next to coastal path gave use the incentive to start our day with a 10,000 step walk on the path before enjoying St Ives beaches, shops and eating places not forgetting of course the Gin bars !!!

Lovely big property light and airy in the best location with stunning views .within easy reach of the Town centre and if you want to take the car has plenty of parking.we had lots of sunny weather so the outside area was just perfict

Very well equipped property, kitchen particularly well equipped. Very comfortable large SOFA in the seating area but 13 steep steps to reach. Large family bathroom with seperate very large shower cubicle. Steep concrete steps outside. Very steep hill access to South West coast path. Wouldn't recommend for anyone with mobility issues.

Thank you for your comments. We are glad to hear that you liked Greensleeves. We absolutely love those views from the sitting room; so, we hope that you didn't mind those 13 steps up to it, to enjoy hours of getting lost in those views! Being in such a fantastic location, overlooking Porthmeor Beach and making the most of those views, does involve an uphill walk back to the property after a day at one of the stunning beaches of St Ives, or the many restaurants, shops and galleries. The walk onto the coastal path or into town may not be suitable for everyone; approx 10-15 minutes for most, but we hope that you found it worth it. The property is a lovely place to return to, and the walk down into town, via Porthmeor Beach enjoys amazing views all the way into town! Tanya, Customer Services

Perfect location, excellent house, lay out brilliant. Overall a lovely way to spend new year.

A lovely homely property we would return to and recommend to anyone.

Lovely house, bright, clean and comfortable. Great view too! It was our second visit and we'll be back.

Lovely views, the house was lovely and I would come back to stay again. The house was immaculate and the bathroom was gorgeous. It would have been even better to have a propper supply of tea, coffee, sugar and condiments instead of the basic and old sachets that were supplied. Would be a bit of a walk for some people and quite a steep walk back from St ives but was in a very quiet little cul-de-sac.

Loved the spacious bungalow, loads of room for the 6 of us. Fantastic views from all windows. Percectly situated for us to be able to leave the cars parked up and walk in to St Ives within minutes.

Thank you for allowing us to spend Christmas there, we really loved it. And allowing our dogs to come too was a huge bonus.

Was a beautiful house, big open space ideal for family with small children. Ideal location, as walking distance from most rhings

Amazing property with amazing views. Very quite location but so near to the beach , shops and pubs. Please say thankyou to the owners for letting us use their lovely family home

Fabulous cottage with stunning views and good location. Very comfortable and excellent facilities - we can't wait to come back!

Great family house in a quiet cul-de-sac, close to Porthmeor Beach, perfect if you can guarantee the british weather!
