You will most certainly feel at home here and we are sure many won't want to leave! With a lovely little garden to the front and an enclosed patio area at the back of the property, there are plenty of places to chill on an evening with friends and family. St Ives town is a few minutes' walk away with a variety of shops, cosy pubs and fabulous restaurants. Five minutes in the other direction, you'll be on Porthmeor beach ready to hit the surf, or should you wish to explore further afield the property has the added bonus of a private parking space.

We really enjoyed stay here. It is well located and a good sized property with a very comfy suite! Would recommend and happily stay here again.

Parking in Barnoon

Properties in Barnoon/Carthew are fantastic for those bringing a car to St Ives. Three quarters of our properties here come with private parking and there is opportunity to use the Barnoon car park. Apartments such as those in the Carthew Court development are located in residential areas and have superb, elevated views.

Self catering in Barnoon

Although you are still well located between Porthmeor and the town, self catering in Barnoon/Carthew allows you a lot more room to relax, with amenities such as WiFi and luxuries like sea views. Walk down the hill in one direction and you can visit the Tate and Porthmeor beach, or head right and you'll find yourself in the centre of town.

Local events

St Ives Feast Day

Held on the anniversary of the consecration of the Parish Church of St Eia in 1434 AD, Feast Day offers visitors to witness - and even join in with - some centuries-old traditions. A morning precesison led by the Mayor to bless the Well of St Eia. Following this, the Mayor will 'Hurls the Silver Ball' into a crowd of children who assemble on the beach below. The one who returns the ball to the Guildhall steps by midday receives a silver coin. In the afternoon the Mayor then throw pennies from the balcony of the Guildhall for children to collect.
