Geevor Tin Mine
Another popular attraction in Pendeen is Geevor, an old tin mine which has since been preserved and now serves as a museum to Cornwall's rich industrial past. With breathtaking views, and plenty to explore, it provides a great day out for the whole family.
Yew Tree Gallery
The Yew Tree Gallery near Pendeen features displays of locally made pottery, jewellery, scluptures and art work. There is also a sclupture garden, with herb garden and views across rolling fields.
The fornightly farmers market in Pendeen provides an insight into the Cornish way of life, offering local produce and a relaxed atmosphere, and Trewellard Meadery is just down the road where you can sample fruit wines and top notch grub in a traditional setting. Another popular attraction in the area is Pendeen lighthouse, a dramatic landmark which once housed Britain's second largest set of foghorns. With the South West Coast Path passing to the south, it makes an enjoyable stop-off point on a coastal walk.
Portheras Cove is just a short walk from the lighthouse, which is one of Cornwall hidden gems. This gorgeous sandy cove is a hideaway for locals, and is also home to a small colony of seals!
