Holidays in Marazion

Marazion is perhaps best known for the famous St Michael's Mount that is perfectly silhouetted on a sunny day, however the town itself is worth a browse with some lovely shops and tea rooms. We recommend visiting in early Spring when the famous Cornish daffs are in full flower!

St Michael’s Mount sits majestically on an island out at sea and can be reached via a cobbled causeway at low tide or at other times by the 'St Michael' amphibious vehicle! Visit the sub-tropical gardens that surround the castle or step inside the castle walls to explore the myths and legends that surround this iconic landmark. Read more about St Michael's Mount or view our St Michael's Mount webcam.

Be sure check the tide times when planning your visit to St Michael's Mount!

Marazion beach

Conveniently located a moment away from the world famous St Michael's Mount, Marazion beach is found in the heart of Mount's Bay, recently elected as one of the 'most beautiful bays in the world'. It’s the perfect beach for family holidays in Marazion, with cafés just above the sand, lifeguards on hand and clean and safe waters. Despite its beauty and convenience for holiday makers, it remains surprisingly quiet compared to other Cornish beaches. A beautiful property in a great location. Keep in mind that it's a short walk to the car park but otherwise its furnished to beautifully and incredibly clean- all you can ask for while on holiday! Thank you!

A fantastic little holiday house, beautifully fitted out and with everything you would need for a great home from home stay.

Well what a beautiful gem of a holiday home this is. There were four of us that stayed and from the moment we arrived everything was there that we could possibly need. The home has been lovely restored with every detail considered, traditional but with all the mod cons and such a wonderful use of space, so cosy a home from home. Chy Lowenna is right in the heart of Marazion and a trip to St Michaels Mount is a stone's throw, along with the beautiful coastal walk to Penzance and on to Mousehole. Such a great location to access other areas like St Ives a 20 mins drive or an open bus top ride away. We thoroughly enjoyed the morning coffee in the garden, and by the end of our holiday were quite sad to leave. We would definitely stay again and have recommended to our friends already.

The property and location were exactly as described. The cottage was charming - very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Dealing with Aspects was very straightforward and we hope to book with them again in future.

From the moment we stepped foot inside this property we knew we'd found a little gem! Extremely welcoming, clean and tidy with stunning furnishings including every kitchen utensil/equipment imaginable. Comfortable beds and fresh, soft bedding. Situated in the heart of the village with great gift shops, newsagent, pubs, eateries and a lovely sandy beach. There is also a wonderful Hotel called Godolphin Hotel that serves fantastic breakfasts with amazing views of St Michael's Mount. It's easy reach to St Ives, Penzance, Mousehole and Sennen Cove - we loved PorthLeven in the evenings, a lovely harbour, pubs and eateries and great if you want a little bit more going on. Do take the opportunity to walk to St Michael's Mount at low tide and explore the castle and grounds, well worth a visit! All in all a wonderful stay and highly recommend.

We had a great stay in Cornwall. The cottage is really nice. So much love to details in the interior. And really everything you look for in a kitchen was there. The location is great: some meters to the beach. Bus stop around the corner. Compared to the city it is really calm in Marazion. And a nice spot for stargazing. Even from the garden you can see the milky way clearly.

For a family trip it is perfect.

Chy Lowenna really was a home from home. We loved this little place the minute we stepped inside. The beds were super comfy, the furnishings were gorgeous, beautiful local artwork, great quality appliances, fantastic location. It was obvious that the owners created this lovely place with great care, lots of love and attention to detail. It took us less than a minute to get to the beach and St. Michael’s Mount. Marazion is a very busy little place, but the cottage is in a quiet part of town. Loved the little garden area too and our friendly neighbours were an added bonus. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will definitely be back again soon.
