Holidays in Lelant

Lelant is a pretty, quaint village that is situated on the main route to Carbis Bay and St Ives. Rent a self catering property in Lelant and you'll be well placed to dine out at the delicious deli and restaurant, 'The Old Forge', enjoy a round of golf at West Cornwall Golf Club, or jump on the branch line to St Ives town.

Lelant itself has two pubs, a restaurant, a golf course with stunning views and a vast beach with areas of secluded woodland. Holidays in Lelant are perfect for couples who want the peace of staying somewhere rural but are close to local amenities. You're never far from the beach when you stay in Lelant; take a stroll alongside the estuary, through the sand dunes and down to the vast expanse of Porthkindney Sands where the River Hayle joins the Atlantic Ocean.

Perfect cottage in lovely village. Enjoyed our relaxing break and would book again in future.

Another fantastic week in Cornwall, we keep coming back with the help of Aspects. Lelant is a wonderful village perfectly placed and within easy reach of St Ives. Didley cottage is a fantastic base with everything you need to feel home from home. Easy walk to the beach, train station and popular destinations are only a short journey away. We will be back soon.

we had a lovely stay at Didley Cottage. Very comfortable and well equipped. The garden was an added bonus. Lovely big bath to have a soak in at the end of a busy day. Great location to explore the area with beautiful beaches everywhere.

Having been to Cornwall for many many years, this cottage and location was the best yet!

A beautiful cottage with everything thought out very well. Porthkidney beach about 15 min walk away and is a hidden treasure.

We walked all the way on the beach to Carbis Bay and followed the coastal path into the village.

The pub (badger inn) in the village is beautiful and a 5 min walk away. A simple menu but food was absolutely beautiful and we ate there quite a lot, their Sunday lunches are gorgeous and all the staff super friendly.

Lelant has been the best base yet, only 30-40 mins to other beaches we love (Crantock, Porthcurno etc). However the local beach on the doorstep is everything you could ever need.

We took the train from Lelant to St Ives and the coastal views are breathtaking!!

All in all, a beautiful stay in the cottage. We will certainly be booking for next year. Aspect have a very quality of customer service and nothing was too much trouble for them, we can highly recommend.

The Musgrave family x

We loved Didley cottage! It was very light and spacious for a 2 bed cottage, with a nice, long garden, and beautifully decorated. It was also very clean and comfy- the beds were especially comfortable. We loved the bathroom, spotless and modern, and so nice to have a bath and not just a shower only. The kitchen , although fairly small, didn't seem it, as clever use was made of the space.

A big plus for us, without a car, was having the bus stop almost right outside in both directions, although parking is available for those who will be taking their car. Would definitely go back!

Fantastic cottage which was well furnished and in a great location for moving around local area. Would highly recommend ans hopefully we can visit again as the price was excellent value

We loved the cottage and location. The cottage is on the main road to St Ives but traffic was not an issue and parking was easy with the allocated parking space around the corner. Porth Kidney beach is about a 15 minute walk away which is a fabulous location. Ease of access to other amenities is made easy with your car around the corner and no fear of losing your parking space. The train station is about a 10 minute walk away linking you to to Carbis Bay and St Ives, or Penzance in the opposite direction and then there is a bus stop on the main road just outside. The property has everything a couple or small family would need. Recently renovated, good central heating, wifi, good garden and a smart TV to suit everyone. Supermarkets and fast food is also on the doorstep and we would highly recommend Becks chippy about a 15 - 20 minute walk away. Whether you want the hustle and bustle of St Ives, cream teas and pasties, the picturesque coastal path, or the beautiful Cornish beaches none of it is too far away. Fantastic property, wonderfully presented, perfectly placed and already booked for another visit later in the year.

Didley Cottage (April 2021)

My family and I stayed here for a couple of days transiting between Scilly and the Midlands. We felt that the property had a great ambience and looked recently renovated. The kitchen had the majority of products which a couple or small family might need and the bathroom power shower had good pressure to it for a decent shower. Noise wasn't an issue despite being next to a main road, double glazing kept it quiet inside and no problems in the garden either. Garden was of a good size, nice lawn out back. Safe parking was on a nearby side road, but it was possible to stop out front temporarily for unloading luggage.

Overall we had a good time at Didley cottage and would consider staying there again.
